I think we can all agree:
X1, X2 and First Class were good to great.
X3 and Origins: Wolverine were shit.
Wait, First Class is a bad movie now? Ha ha, I'm really happy I'm not a movie snob who hates everything.
Anyway, I thought it was confirmed that Days of Future Past was going to tie the Brian Singer movies and First Class together while undoing X3. That's not the case anymore?
Cool! Gotta say that I'm not really excited for The Wolverine, especially after the Wolverine: X-Men Origins. It still is. It's just not going to be connected in any way to Mangold's upcoming 'THE WOLVERINE' film.
Can they recon wolverine orgins also?
Can they recon wolverine orgins also?
And any interest I may have had for this film has gurgled down the sink. If it has no bearing on the main story and the new 'super canon' why the fuck should anyone care?

That's not really true. Mangold said pretty directly that he worked with Singer to make sure everything fit between the two, which I assume means no contradictions in story or continuity. All he's saying is that he was too far along in the production to tie the two together in terms of plot. In other words, the ending of The Wolverine doesn't set up Days of Future Past. It's more of a side story.
I'm also pretty confident that there will still be something. He's probably hiding at least a little something.
Read what I was replying to. It's standalone in terms of movies currently in production. It's not standalone in that it takes place after X3. He talked with Singer, but that was before Singer had any notion of DofP going forward.
There was a rumor ofbut I don't know if that ever ended up being corroborated or not.Logan meeting Xavier in an airport as a post-credits stinger, which could set up Days of Future Past in some way
I can't stand that its in the 70s. Its the worst time period for fashion/style ever. I wish it were in the late 80s early 90s.
I think it's more the memory of X1. For the time, it was pretty amazing for a superhero film. Hell it was amazing to get an X-Men film at all let alone it not being a complete embarrassment.....what are you guys seeing in x1 ? it really was bad compared to X2 its like X1 was the show pilot then X2 they got some real budget money to do a good story.

But yeah, it does not hold up well. Superhero movies have stepped the game up too much.
Fuck I laughed.I can't stand that its in the 70s. Its the worst time period for fashion/style ever. I wish it were in the late 80s early 90s.
Fuck I laughed.
I'm still not surprised that you think theCause it's true and that depressed you to the point of laughing?
I'm still not surprised that you think the
80s was a high point for fashion.
Not at all. Because I'm not petty. Films usually mean more to me than the fashion sense of the characters in them.I think 60's and 80's were a high point for fashion.
It must hurt you badly to rewatch the terminator then.
That bothered you? Beast was worse than that shit. What you wrote right there doesn't make sense. Magneto looked stupid at the end of First Class. Now he looks swank as shit and you're complaining.
I mean...

lol
The iconic styling/fashion for X-Men is traditionally 80s/90s... that's why I want it. Jubilee in the arcade, dazzler an 80s pop star... not bellbottoms and floral shirts. Lame. Not at all. Because I'm not petty. Films usually mean more to me than the fashion sense of the characters in them.
That said, 70s is baller.

Whhhaaaaaaaat? Totally disagree. It was a smart and cerebral take on superheroes during a time when that was synonymous with camp. There are some cringe worthy moments here and there but they were pretty minor points.I don't see how it wasn't a embarassment.
X1 was worse than Batman and Robin
Rising star Josh Helman has joined the cast of Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Days of Future Past," which reunites the Australian actor with his "Mad Max: Fury Road" co-star Nicholas Hoult.
While Helman's role is being kept under wraps, it may prove significant given that the actor is expected on set for several weeks.
they should split this into two films

I wonder if they will do a Dallas shower type moment to wash away X3, I'm glad they are undoing what was done. Singer doesn't strike me as the type to outright bash X3 directly, so its going to be interesting to see how its handled.

Is Ellen Page in this? I wants her in it.
