95% of the reason the trailer is even remotely interesting is because of Time.

maybe the weak comic-con man of steel trailers were completely reliant on the great hans zimmer music but nah...95% of the reason this trailer is interesting is because of the footage.

nothing really exciting but that's how it goes with teasers. still not on my radar, since I really disliked the trilogy, hopefully this one is better

How is that possible when Wolverine Origins and First Class contradict each other several times (esspecially when adding in the original Xmen)

its like the comic books: canon is a fucking mess and now they make a whole movie, just to retcon x1-3 and origins and restart the whole thing with first class.

not a comic book reader, just watched the old 90s cartoons off and on as a kid, and the movies (well x1,2,last stand, and The Wolverrine so far)

so is this movie a change the past style movie (ala bttf / terminator)?

This might be explained as something going wrong with the timestream. Each movie might be canon but happened as a result of different events in the past that could have gone multiple ways. By the end of DoFP, I hope that everything is "fixed" and that there is now just a single timeline for the movies. Perhaps each character remembers details or fragments of the other timelines, as well.

Using a future movie to explain the contradictions of movies from the past ... cue Time!

I look forward to explaining the time-travel stuff to my wife when DoFP comes out.

Also, I need to get her to watch all of the movies (except maybe Origins) again before The Wolverine is released on BR (we missed it in the theaters) so we're all caught up for DoFP. The only problem is that our schedules are so busy that we have to watch movies in 20-30 minute chunks and there are others that we want to watch.

Eh. Not bad. It looked solid enough I suppose but I can't help but feel that Han Zimmer's incredible 'Time' is what people are reacting to the most in this trailer. Nothing I saw really blew my skirt up.

Personally I'd rather see a sixties set sequel to First Class rather than this X-Men greatest hits package but I am intrigued none the less.

It must be something else to produce a soundtrack for a movie and have it subsequently be used EVERYWHERE. Not complaining. I love it but I would be on cloud nine if it was my work.

Ek is klaar! Though I did cringe when I got the impression that it would be another "Wolverine and friends" movie. I've hated that character since my youth.

As far as people referencing that it's the music we are reacting to, you're right. You have to use the right piece of music to convey and set the mood for the images on the screen or else you're screwed. The music helped set the tone for the film. Would you rather they use "When doves cry?"

From what I've heard, the majority of the movie is set in the 70s, so it's still a mostly First Class sequel.

I kinda agree with this. Everything looks epic when its a bunch of clips together with that theme playing in the background.

But after First Class, I'm quite hyped for this with or without this trailer.

I sure hope this won't be another Wolverine movie masquerading as an X-men movie.

You know it will be.

You know Singer probably couldn't sit through FIrst Class cause it lacked 2 hours of Wolverine.

I mean for fucks sake man he just had his own movie just released!

Hoho, that was great, now I need a direct feed trailer!
