XB1 Elite Controller ($150)

One more thing, I was told it comes with a USB cable.

When you plug any Xbox One controller into a USB cable, both data and power go over the USB cable. The controller doesn't use wireless at all when tethered.

Makes sense given the Pro target market, those guys would never want to run the risk of battery depletion, wireless lag/interference or disconnects during a match anyway.

I still wish they'd throw in the battery pack from the play and charge kit.

Hopefully this is released before H5. Is it stupid/pathetic that I'm so hyped for a fucking controller?

Nope. It's one of the most important part of a gaming experience.

This looks great, but at $150 I'll need to hold one before I bite.

I hope they announce some sort of limited edition. I know its superficial but I don't want to give up my Titanfall controller

Kind of debating picking one up for use on PC (Windows 10). I don't have an Xbox One yet, but might jump in whenever they get around to doing a slim / revised model so that their exclusive library has some more time to build up.

The vidoc persuaded me to buy this as my second controller. It's bad that I only have 1 or 2 games on my X1 compared to 7+ on my PS4. God Sony look at MS on how to do controllers!

This is the greatest controller I've ever laid my eyes on. Cannot wait.

This thing just looks right/precise to hell and back. The build quality seems insane just by looking at it. You can easily tell.

I never in a million years would have thought to consider paying $150 for a damn controller. Maybe a racing wheel if that but a controller? Hell no..

This thing is a game changer (pun intended, lol)

Wow so you can switch between full trigger and hairline? This 360 controller needs to go!

You can adjust a ton more with the app as well. You can create ramps for joystick movement where it starts really sensitive and goes full balls to the wall speed after a second or two of holding it.

The normal Xbox One controller does this as well.

Looks fantastic, and I want it in my hands, but it will probably be something that I grab when it's discounted (to maybe $120 or $100). Still a lot, but it will help me overcome the initial sticker shock.

I love the idea of this but $150? What the what?

That vidoc really makes the features of this stand out and I'd love to own one of these one day. Maybe I'll never need to buy another controller... but who knows what changes will come in the future. Still, I think all controllers should have those under belly bumpers. They are awesome.

lol taking the local multiplayer garbage controllers to another level.

One person with the elite controller, others with regular.

That's a lot of potential joysticks.

The regular controller works the same way -- but doesn't come with a usb cable

elite controller for the elite gamer? I'll always consider the mouse and keyboard the "elite gamers" go to "elite controls." If your getting this controller for competitive purposes I think you've been misguided especially if your looking for this on PC if you game on PC with a controller stick to cheaper 360 controller. I'm not sure how the console support is for keyboard and mouse is i havnt had a consoles fur maybe 7 years now my console passion died with the PS3...but really if it supports keyboard and mouse that's where you should be at if it supports it if your aim is to increase competitiveness. But I mean if it's shiny and has swappable shiny things and you put some nice marketing words on it I guess people will jump on it? I'd rather by a steam controller I think for the innovation or custom metal typewriter style keys for my keyboard and stick to the keyboard mouse combo than dish 150 dollars on this.

I get these types of co trollers are normally more expensive and for a specific crowd, but bummed its $150. I probably would've bit for $100.

Held this controller today and it feels just so damn good. Triggers feel great when locked, and the paddles on the back are nicely places and have a really light action about them. The sticks are super smooth, and in a nice surprise, the main Xbox button on the front isn't squishy like the normal controller.

Yes, $150 is a lot, but then again, so is spending $200+ on an arcade joystick. Not everyone will see $150 in value in this controller, but for a portion of the user base this controller will be heaven.

I'm glad i've preordered mine and can't wait.

Sure, I'll run right out and get one of those magical keyboards and mice that work on games that only support controllers.

Personally can't wait to play Destiny with one paddle assigned to jump.

Isn't modular controls something Valve patented prior to steampad? Can't believe they let MS steamroll (pun intended) all over them like this.

While M/KB has an amazing flexibility to be utilized across genres, you'll NEVER catch me using that scheme for 3rd person games.

EVER!

my understanding is consoles now have keyboard and mouse support

Many gaming peripherals (headsets, gaming keyboards, mice) cost north of 300 dollars easily.

This product looks incredible. Now it just so happens that I want a Steam controller, but after seeing this I don't know if I should double dip. This is quite spectacular. You can see all the RnD that went into this.

This is great microsoft!
