Microsoft Confirms Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays

Microsoft has confirmed a new program called 'Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays', which features a regular weekly launch schedule for new Xbox Live Arcade games over the Xbox 360 online service, seemingly addressing multiple recent game delay issues for the much-vaunted service.
Starting today, Xbox Live Arcade users will now go live on Wednesdays at 0800 GMT (Midnight Pacific) to download the first in what will be a series of new releases.

The complete schedule is announced as follows:
* July 12 - Frogger
* July 19 - Cloning Clyde
* July 26 - Galaga
* August 2 - Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting
* August 9 - Pac-Man

Lookin' forward to the Cloning Clyde demo next week. I doubt I'll be getting any of these new XBLA games as I only have 600 pts, and none of the games I can afford with that interest me. SF2 + Cloning Clyde demos ftw!

4/10, but I never realy found much depth in a frogger game, well the psx versions were pretty cool at the time.

I don't think its worth 800 pts, the demo itself is basicly the whole single player game anyway, get 5 frogs to the end, repeat.
 
We should ban Live Arcade demo discussions from this topic. I thought LOTR:BFMEII demo was online :-(

I suggest to rename this to Xbox 360 Live demo availability thread *retail games only*
 
Frogger - cooperative play -

Is it me or am I just not seeing anything great with the cooperative play?
Two people play one round and then thats it? Because when one of us finishes our side of the board we then just sit there with the board cleared as the other guy tries to finish his board. I don't see another round starting up at all.

WTF?

It's just you. When one player finishes he moves to round 2. However, is anyone else experiencing massive lag in co-op? I have four bars and it's still terrible, no matter who joins my game or whose game I join. That will make getting the 30,000 co-op achievement nearly impossible.

Well there must have been something wrong with my game sessions then. I cleared the board each game I participated in and could not continue on because the little froggies were all in their homes,thus I could not continue on.

GameSpot News has learned that a demo for Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle-earth II is scheduled to be released Thursday, July 13. The exact time of its availability has not yet been announced.

The trial will feature both single- and multiplayer and take gamers into the War in the North campaign. Console real-time strategy games will likely be unfamiliar to most, so EA has included a tutorial to show players how to use the 360's controller to direct their legions.

The single-player portion of the demo will feature the first mission in the evil campaign, and have players siege an Elven stronghold. The multiplayer portion offers one-on-one battles over Xbox Live, pitting Elven and Goblin armies against each other.

yeah i watched the demo walkthrough... and they were talking about the demo on the marketplace like it was already there... i was like "zuh?!"

ya rly.

My roommate and I turned to each other when he said that and quickly exited out to go search the demo section.
 
Zegapain XOR demo is back up 289.04MB.

Only took them about a month to get that back up there.

Still waiting on King Kong to come back though :P
