Xbox 360 Live demo availability thread

FIGHT NIGHT 3 OWNZ!

OMG, yeah it feels like you're fighting underwater, but once you get used to it, the play matches the looks, which are AMAZING!

I CAN'T BELIEVE this is an EA game from EA Chicago no-less. AMAZING!

I know there's a live demo thread, but I think the graphics in this game are impressive enough to warrant it's own thread.

The game blows away every single 360 game so far in terms of graphics. It literally looks like CG. There are NO jaggies to be seen anywhere, the image quality is perfect, like I said you are literally looking at a CG film, but it is a video game. The level of detail is incredible. It's unbelievable.

From this point forward there can be no doubt that X360 is truly next-gen.

Those of you wanting the graphics leap you thought 360 couldn't give, those days are over. Download the demo NOW.

My wife thought it was real when I played. I played it from the dining room and she was like, I thought fights came on Fridays. Yup, this is the real deal. EA Chicago FTW

Even on my SDTV this game looks gorgeous. I'm shocked it's from EA.

The truth,I was shocked how good it looks.

Dear lord Xbox360 is a beast

I agree.

Man can you imagine how Ninja Gaiden 2 will look once Team Ninja has more than 2 months to work on final hardware? DoA4 already looks brilliant (I'd say in some ways better than fight night in motion) but with more time...

Hawt. :D

I wouldn't say every asset in the arena is CG quality (the crowd, for example), but the fighters themselves...I think this is the first time I've seen a character model that if you zoom in on it, it's not immediately apparent that you're looking at a textures over polys.

But as far as what doesn't necessarily look CG quality, they made the right decisions as to which areas of the scene didn't need it. The overall presentation is fantastic, I think.

Replays are a little wonky right now, but nothing they can't clean up.

amazing, amazing graphics. i HATED the controls at firstbut then i switched to config4 (press X at controller select screen to view button layouts) and the game is a lot smoother and a lot better.

I'm happy to hear it's turning out well. I like Fight Night games and the next-gen Fight Night videos I watched looked stunning. Great news.

Cool, ill have to try that controller fig after the Rose Bowl.

EA Chicago is also developing Def Jam 3 for 360 and PS3, EA Chicago > Tiburon?! John Madden is rolling over in his grave. :(

Its pretty cool. Graphics are great, though the "blood splatting from the mouth" animation seems to happen EVERY damn knockdown. I've never played Fight Night before so I can't comment on gameplay.

Wow, it does look phenomenal. And a note to those who can't sample it, anyone describing it as "slow" is referencing the deliberateness of the movement apparently compared to earlier versions, not the framerate or some such. Very smooth and incredibly realistic graphics.

Ahh, didn't realize the right analog stick was key to fighting. Barely even touched by the other guy now... Feels really natural aiming punches with the stick. Good stuff.

This game looks amazing but ummm...it's not very fun ^^;

Is there a way to change camera angles? The graphics are great but all you ever see are peoples backs until you get the knockdown hit. Let me put the camera behind the guy so I can at least see the face of the guy I'm punching.

Gameplay is sloooooooow. I haven't played a boxing game since Super Punchout though so maybe this is what realistic boxing plays like :)

Anyhow, great lighting + great player models = gorgeous game. Framerate seems slow, but it might be 30fps and the game is just really slow. Dunno. Need a speed up option :P

Blood was only seen during replays in Round 2 and not the realtime knock down which took away from the immersion. FNR2 also had some pretty noticeable clipping problems with gloves going through bodies and heads did they fix this also? And whats this I hear about it being "slow"?

I just watched the gameplay trailer on gametrailers.com and it looks like they're taking very slow swings. It isn't fluid and quick like a real fight is. The landed punches don't seem to have much impact, either.

The models are great, however.

One word - WOW

Don't get me wrong, Madden and CoD2 look fantastic on the 360, two of the best looking games I've ever seen, but FN3 ist truly, honest to God, what people mean when saying "next-gen". It is as if you are in control of an actual CGI film or something, it's unreal.

The demo plays fine to me, but I'm sure everything will be touched up for the final release. All in all, this demo totally sold me on the final game, no questions asked.

I don't really know what else to say other than that I'm simply blown away right now, big time. I can't imagine how it looks in HD.

Yeah, that's what I'm noticing while playing.

But on the other hand I'll admit this looks like one of those old FMV games but holy crap its real-time :P

See what happenes when developers have more then 2 months with final hardware to make a 360 game

The game looks fuck incredible,i'm still shocked this is from EA. EA MADE THIS?!

Rare and Team NINJA's next games are going to be gorgeuos

I actually won fights as both players. I had given FN1 a try and wasn't crazy about it, but they've really perfected the gameplay this time out. Soo smooth. And visually it's not super slick and bright great graphics, it's "This Looks Like An Old School Boxing Poster Come To Life" graphics. Nicely sepia toned, dust motes floating in the overhead light. Just stunning detail, and not just the showoffy kind. The aesthetically pleasing kind.

The game came out of freaking nowhere. The first demo in a while I'll be playing repeatedly.

One weird problem though, on knockdowns, I'd say 10% of the time, the boxer on the ground's tip of the shoe is inside the mat, causing it to start twitching like the guy's having a seizure.

It needs to be said that this puts VF5 and DOA4 to shame. The models, environments, and lighting are so much better here.

Mentioned this in the demo thread, but it's important to note the focus on aesthetics as well as detail. This thing looks like an old Boxing Poster come to life, not just creepy looking CGI running around.

And I really like the gameplay. All the stuff that you learn in DoA4 but at a pace where you've actually got a chance to pull it off.

As much as the game is gorgeous looking, people need to realize why it looks this good. Unlike all the other X360 games, the game really only features 2 characters. The ring and background is such a small percent of the polygon count and stuff that its trivial. 95%+ of the X360 power is going to just two character models. Of course they're going to look insanely good. :P If every level in DoA4 was taking place in a small ring I'm sure DoA4 characters would've looked twice as good with realistic hair and stuff ;)
