Xbox 360 Live demo availability thread

I'd love a demo for every game. Demos are by far the strongest influence on my purchasing.

Unfortunately, we seem to be getting less and less demos.

I don't really understand it.

Too Human may be the next big demo. SK know they've got to release a good one, so they'll probably do all they can to make you buy the game. Who knows, maybe they'll put online play in the demo?

Why is there no demo of Sega Superstars Tennis or Condemned 2: Bloodshot on the US X box Live Marketplace? I have already the demos of Sega Superstars Tennis or Condemned 2: Bloodshot on PSN.
Sega has Stockholm Syndrome confirmed

It requires quite a bit of extra work to put a demo together and only teams that are ahead of the game, so to speak, really have the time to create one.

It would also seem rather pointless for a hotly anticipated game to receive a demo. Do you really think MS needed to release a demo for Halo 3? Of course not. They knew they would grab all of the sales they wanted without one...so why put the time into the creation of it? Same deal with GTAIV.

I think Denis Dyack did say that the demo would have a portion of the online co-op.

I don't see the Euro 08 demo either - did it get taken down?
Yeah, it's been removed.

Where Has The UEFA Euro 2008 Demo Gone?

Er, not sure - but I do know that we've temporarily removed it, so if you're looking for it I'm afriad you'll have to wait. I didn't have time to remove the Inside Xbox page today so apologies that it's still promoting it.

Will let you know when it's back up.

It was up for me the first time as well, disappeared as well, but I just woke up and it's back for me in the EU... (UEFA 2008 demo)...

The FM is the one we know and love on the PC... except way way wayyy more clunky :(

Fully featured and quick loading so I can't take that away from it... oh yeah the full game doesn't need a HDD this time too!

I'll stick to pc thank you

Euro 2008 demo is incredible. I hated the FIFA '08 demo but they fixed the gameplay and BE a Pro mode could not be more fun. Releasing in May though? :(

It is isn't it? After being disgusted with Konami's Pro Evo offering this year, EA have my attention with this. The 'be a pro' mode was excellent.

Must say I am impressed they've managed to make it HDD free, apparently all the extra effort has had effects on the next PC version too.

So, uh, it would seem the Army of Two demo lacks the "Gold users get it a week early." restriction. But... UEFA is still locked for me.

Anybody think this smells fishy, given what day it is? 1.32gb seems like an awful big April Fools joke, though. Perhaps EA shelled out some extra cash to bypass the restriction? Maybe Microsoft forgot to check the "Gold users only" box?

Hmmm...

How do you get that onto your 360?

Well the BFBC beta apparently runs right off the disc, you just go to the demo section and wait and it appears. Maybe demos do that as well?

Is it the first post retail release demo out since the "Gold first" system was initiated?

For someone like me who does regularly left in the cold due to region restrictions, this is highly interesting. Does it have to be burned in a special kind of way?

As far as I recall, yes, this is the first demo in at least three or four months (since the "Gold first" rule was initiated) to be available to all users right from the start.

Maybe with the holidays officially over, Microsoft is going back to the way it was, like they did last year? Does that mean I'll actually be able to download the Ninja Gaiden II demo the same time as everybody else? I hope so.

You can't play Single Player in the Army of Two demo? Why dammit? Does the buddy A.I. suck that bad?
You also have to sit through two unskippable cut-scenes, and the training mission won't advance if both of you don't do the required actions. It's a very strange and rather bone-headed choice for a demo. The lack of stick for the cover sucks, and the aiming is wobbly as hell. I'm a little surprised people actually liked this game.

What is with the Army of Two demo? The fact that you need to play it multiplayer is kinda bullshit, but I think mine is glitched. I was going through it with some random guy. We got to the "slide int cover" area and it refused to progress. The targets at the shooting range never popped up. It never indicated what the next objective was. Am I missing something here?

This should help EA move plenty of units! :lol

Both players need to do the slide into cover or it won't proceed. Retarded as I said before.

It's like this in the full game as well, both players need to do the required actions in the training area.

As for the aiming, switch it to high sensitivity and it's a lot easier. I hated the aiming at first too but it wasn't a problem for too long.

I hated the looks of the game from all the videos I watched (on Gamersyde and such), but I thought the demo was really fun. I guess I just had to play it to like it. This is one of those instances where the demo helped. I might go pick this game up soon. :)

Yeah, I was interested in downloading it, but I'll probably play single player more than anything (and actually, now that I think of it, my Gold is currently lapsed). At any rate, I think I'll stick to my original plan -- long term rental from Blockbuster to finish it.

Sega Superstars Tennis is rated "E10+" by the ESRB. It is cited for "Mild Blood", "Mild Fantasy Violence", and "Mild Suggestive Themes". Although the game has a large laundry list of descriptors, the content is mostly safe. The blood and violence can be found in mini-games where the player has to dispatch a group of zombies with tennis strokes. The suggestive themes can be found in characters like Ulala, the provocatively dressed yet cartoonish heroine from Space Channel 5.
