Ages. Where the hell have you been?

:-D

Gold users often get timed exclusives as a "value add" incentive for people to upgrade from Silver. Considering I think that Xbox Live should be free, I agree with you :-)

Silver "tier" doesn't really hold a hold any special access or anything like that, it's just meant to the base level of account. I can see why you'd want something special to come out of silver, if maybe there was a bronze, but there's not.

edit: beaten

more like, since when has the JP marketplace started to use gold/silver tiers? :\

About freakin time!

*downloads*

Ninja Gaiden II demo on JP marketplace is open to silver users now, but it looks like they've fixed downloading from other regions since last I tried (earlier this year).

Not paying for US gold for early demo access and online play i don't care about. Still think its bullshit.

I don't think the demo was ever intended to release before the game, since it says at the end 'in stores now' or whatever. Path of the ninjadog is also way too damn easy. Once I remembered how to play NG, nothing could touch me. They could have at least not given you the fully upgraded weapons. Poor enemies never stood a chance.

I had completely forgotten about how they restricted demos to Gold users for initial release. I wanted to check out the Bad Company demo only to discover I couldn't. I just laughed, I could turn on my PS3 and download it for that if I really wanted to. It's just so dumb. Whatever.

this was done to wet people's appetites, they didn't want people dying a lot in that demo obviously. For the real NG players it was like a playground: a space to mess around with 4(!) completely upgraded weapons and their full move list. I lost track of how many times I beat the demo, so much fun.

It looks better than most games this gen. 60fps, good textures. It plays like a god of war ripoff without the grab button. It's ok but it gets boring really really fast because of your small movelist and simple enemies. Probably would be good for kids. I'd buy it for them if I had any.
Seriously, for a movie game, its quite good. Some nice flourishes when you hit enemies. My son is currently killing this demo. I want to buy it, but you know...$50. The moment it hits $30, I'm all over it.

Hmm cool time to check it out :)

Did Crash Time give anyone else a flashback to the first Burnout game, only with more varied objectives?
I missed out on burnout 1 and 2, but it reminded me a little of the dc game Super Runabout, only to a little degree tho.

I sort of felt the same way. I really enjoyed the Crash Time demo, hope it comes out at a discounted price. The graphics aren't the best and it's obviously an import from Europe, but I found it to be a really fun driving game.

It's been out in the uk for a while now at £30 instead of £40-50

This is outstanding and unexpected news.

I purchased this on Friday on impulse and haven't had the balls to open it up yet.

It's listed at $29 at Amazon. It seems like a decent distraction for the price.

It gave me flashbacks, but of bad trips that I wish I hadn't taken. It felt like I as playing a freeware game on the PC.

Def try the demo first before you open that sucker.

I was a huge fan when it came out on the pc. This port just feels wrong, something weird about it. The graphics are a downgrade it seems, also the mp seems to skip alot :(

I had flashbacks to London Racer.

Even worse, my 360 RROD'd during the demo. Right before motherfucking Ninja Gaiden 2. So forever more the game will give me flashbacks of THAT.

When I first played Crash Time, the sound DID cut out for me, had to restart the console to get it back! Hopefully it doesn't bugger up consoles...

CT reminded me of summer driving on the highway, I think the artists did a great job on the color palette...everything looks right. Sure, there are flat polygonal trees, but Gran Turismo 5: P has them as well, as long as you aren't looking right at them, things look decent.

Besides the real life memories the game gave me, it reminded me more of Tokyo Xtreme Racer than Burnout.

I actually had fun with the demo. If it's a $30 game I'd have no qualms picking it up.

I never tried 4 Player...that could be fun when friends are over.

I get that cheesy rock track the demo uses in my head pretty easily.

Dark Sector is a decent game. My only real problem is how they handled the weapons merchant. They take so long before they bring him in, he has too few weapons for sale, and you never have enough money to really get what you want. Plus the upgrades that you can't remove, with the best ones of course being the most rare... and the enemies are kind of retarded, but the actual combat is good fun. Say 7/10

Little late, but okay.

Dark Sector is so...bleuargh. It's like they tried to recreate Gears, but during assembly misplaced its soul, replaced it with a glaive and hoped no one would notice.

Sorry for the bump, there's no new demo (well, Kung Fu Panda Euro, that's something).

I need a piece of information : does the Army of Two demo allow local co-op ?

Hmm..
Don't know how old this is..
But an ad just appeared on Live saying "Tales of Vesperia Demo"..I clicked on it, and said the size was 278MB and talking about "beautiful visuals" and stuff..but when I clicked Download, it said that "it couldn't retrieve info from Xbox Live"..

The free "Dark Knight" theme is sweet.

Yep, I was pleasantly surprised to see it yesterday after I finished watching Mask of the Phantasm. Such a great time to catch up on all things Batman lately, with the release of this movie so close by
