I can't play the outfit demo, for some reason is says that I'm playing in PAL-50 mode, and need to change it to PAL-60 mode, by going into the console settings and change it.
The thing is, in the console settings, I can only set the resolution not any mode.
And my HD-tv tells me that I'm playing in 60Hz, so that should be PAL-60, right?

Made me mad as ****.

Anyone got a tip, or two, for me?

I fixed it by hooking the 360 up to a regular TV (only then was I able to change the setting to 60hz).

Technically, if you setup an American .NET passport or XBox Live Silver membership on your box, you should be able to scoop up American content from marketplace.

this was discussed ages ago....... with my usa xbox i created a silver account for japan....it required some work but it turned out very well for me.

I understand. Oblivion is the next game for me as well. Already reserved and payed off. You should probably be happy there isn't a GRAW demo, or you'd be selling plasma to pay for it. You'd have to find a way to get it after you've played some.

honestly it seems that the us marketplace gets updated with fresh content quicker than the rest.....hell i would switch just to save the cash

Ridge Racer 6 demo is working fine now. You get 3 laps at Harborline 765, and there's a handful of cars to pick from. I actually liked it, I may pick the game up at some point.

Only complaint is that I wish the game was even faster.

I'm in the same boat as you, I can't buy this until I try out the demo. Damn the hype machine, I should just stay away from GAF.

Was the first time ever I played a RR game, it's pretty fun. Although very different from the normal racing I'm used to.. (PGR, Forza etc.) I figure I would never be able to complete the full game though, if it's as difficult as they say it is.. So you basically double tap A to start drifting and double tap it again to stop? what does different drifting types mean?

you just step off the throttle momentarily and turn to start a drift, and you countersteer to end it. the drifting types just describle how drift-prone your car is -- "mild" cars are relatively grippy, "dynamic" cars will fishtail all over the place.

It feels like youre stuck on rails or something and apart from that you dont feel anything at all (no feel of rubber touching asphalt or a big v8 under the hood) ugh.

I am buying a used copy of RR6 because of theat demo. I was pleasantly surprised.

Hehe I wasnt. It felt like a couple steps backwards after having played racegames that actually do a pretty good job of simulating what it feels like to drive a fast car.

RR6 is my current favorite game ever. I suppose I should be institutionalized? Also, you're wrong. The PGR demo was okayyy, inasmuch as a 30-FPS-jaggy-in-HD-pseudo-realistic racing game can be (just kidding, PGR fans except this guy).

See, I love the ass out of Wipeout and I just could not get into Ridge Racer. It needs anti-gravity physics. The tires are a problem for me, and always have been when it comes to full blast arcade style racing. But then, I'm a Wipeout Purist.

:lol you ARE stuck on rails while sliding. you can make any right turn by actually turning left if you are sliding. wtf.

RR is oddly, given the lack of true lighting and detail, one of the best HD "demos" too, since everything is just so goddamned crisp.

I stuck mine in at a LAN recently and all the COD guys stopped what they were doing to go "ooooooh."
