anyone else think ubi planned to release graw demo tomorrow to cut into battlefields sales. from what ive played graw seems like the better game, certainly better graphics. anyone on the fence, waiting for demos might lean to graw after tomorrow.

Supposedly Ubi submitted the demo to MS a week or so before the game was initially released.

Okay, so now BF2:MC is out, and GRAW is tomorrow(finally, yay!!).

So, when can we expect Tomb Raider Legends, Far Cry, Rumble Roses, Oblivion, and Dynasty Warriors demos? Come on MS, get on it. :lol

I wouldn't count on an Oblivion demo ever.

BF2 is pretty fun as expected. I like the new effects but Im abit dissappointed over the textures and overall level detail. Previews stated that the textures were totally awesome but it's definetly not so. But it's very fun. I love the motion blur and it's much better implemented here than in PD0. Of course, the fully next gen buildt BF3 or whatever is going to be the real deal.

boneyard will turn so many people off because its not noob friendly....its such a small map if you dont know what your doing youre dead. plus it doesnt really show much in the graphics department

I just read that the GRAW demo is a multiplayer game in the boneyard. Fricken boneyard!? That level sucks balls. They should've made a Fishing Village demo.

Fihsing Village has the worst slowdown.

Well, possible. Lie down in the grass with a sniper rifle, and aim. Slideshow baby. <3 next gen grass.

Yeah, and what about the SP? Is there going to be a separate demo?

Could've been worse. It could've been Dry Dock. But I totally agree with you. If the boneyard was my only experience with GRAW I'm not too sure if I'd want to go out and buy it.

So purty though.

Tomb Raider demo is coming later today!

Eidos will roll out the anticipcated Xbox 360 demo of Tomb Raider Legend this evening on Marketplace, Microsoft's one-stop shop on Xbox Live. Accompanying the release will be an exclusive Marketplace trailer, six theme sets (five featuring Lara Croft and one of Karima Adebibe) and five exclusive picture packs.

Xbox Live Marketplace provides a one-stop shop for consumers to acquire episodic content, new game levels, maps, weapons, vehicles, skins and new community-created content. Tomb Raider Legend will release on Xbox and Xbox 360 on April 7, 2006.

Anyone else finidng it really difficult to find a time to download these demos now oblivion is out? :lol

I don't think we should post speculation in this thread at all.

How many times have we heard a demo should be up tomorrow or next week and it never freakin pans out?

Eidos can say all they want. Actions mean something. Talk is cheap.

dont bump this thread unless a demo actually hits the marketplace. im tired of all the speculation that leads to a demo a week after it was supposed to be on the marketplace. oh and wheres my topspin demo???

I don't think its ever not happened. At least the demo has never come out the day they said it would the FIRST time they said it should be out. How late was GRAW, a full month?

I think The Outfit actually came out on schedule, but yeah, for the most part it's been very hit and miss. I want to know when something new is officially out, so now I just use an RSS feed for Major Nelson's Blog and watch it.

QFT. This isn't the "I wonder when a demo is coming out" thread.

Gamespot reported on January 17 that Sega's Full Auto 360 demo was going up on January 25. (see http://www.gamespot.com/news/6142551.html) And look at that, it did. (see http://www.majornelson.com/2006/01/25/full-auto-demo-now-on-marketplace/)

So it's happened all of once before. I dunno what the difference has been between that and the wait times and unexplained delays for The Outfit, GRAW and Battlefield demos. I like how if a demo misses a date no one takes accountability for announcing a date and sloughs it off on "it'll be up when it's up."
