Xbox 360 Live demo availability thread

Sweet, two demos in one day!
I just don't understand the reasoning about this.

Some months we're starving for content, uninteresting XBLA content (Uno deck packs) and no demos and then they release 2 demos and a brand new XBLA game in one week. Doesn't make any sense at all.

You can't release a demo that isn't ready yet.

there were quite a few demos lately actually, Graw single player, Crackdown, Def Jam, Blitz and something else that I can't remember. I guess it has to do with more games being released now again. The XBLA thing was frustrating though.

Since yesterday there is also a demo of Winning Eleven Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 for USA/Canada/Mexico.

1.4GB
I wonder where the size comes from... Is there commentary?

No but they CAN delay a demo if they follow a schedule and realize that 3 weeks later they have a week with NO new content so they delay that additional demo till then.

This is Microsoft, I presume they have Excel or Outlook. Why can't they create a schedule where every week there is always something new to download and try out.

then though you'd have people complaining about MS sitting on perfectly good finished content that could be put out already just to fill a gap in the schedule.

Played it, thought it was quite boring even though I'm a star trek fan..

Demo is up?
:)
Awesome. It was this or CrackDown last month. So having the demo to Star Trek will be a nice fill in for awhile.

Same here. Boring and quite distant from the Star Trek spirit.

(my wow was for the demo dimension... way too big for a couple of spaceship models and planets)

What they really need to do is another Star Trek adventure game.
If you think about it, Mass Effect is very near the Star Trek spirit, only with more space marines. I think Bioware would produce one hell of Star Trek RPG.

Give me Star Trek Elite Force 3 for 360/Ps3 in which you time travel between various ST "shows if you will" and stop bad shit from ever happening. Full audio capture done by the original cast and stuff :D . But that's for another thread ^^

Champions league demo huh? I might download that..although 1.32GB ( MB? :D ) is a little bit big :P.

Which is worse the potential (this assumes that somehow magically the gamers will know when demos are supposed to be available via a developer leak) for people complaining about sitting on demos for a schedule or people complaining that no new content has appeared for weeks on end?

As a gamer I'd rather have something to look forward to each week instead of having nothing then 4-5 things in the space of a day or two.

It really makes no sense at all. Microsoft needs to schedule this stuff better.

Star Trek: Legacy - I have to say... when I am pushing the controller so damn hard trying to make the Enterprise move... it proves that I am not enjoying the game.

I thought the look was beautiful, hearing Kirk talk when you would access the Enterprise was very cool... activating warp drive was cool...

But controlling the ship was laboring and very UN-FUN... I am truly disappointed but glad I did not buy and listened to the reviews...

I know in the show that the ships did not move around that quickly... but it makes for a very boring feel for gameplay.

From the demo. this is the best cricket game I've played in years. It puts EA's "hit a single or a boundary" Cricket series to shame. The batting is great fun, it actually feels like your timing has something to do with where the ball ends up. Bowling is similarly enjoyable, not feeling as random as previous games. If bowl with the right line and length you're going to trouble batsmen. The fielding was a bit weird, as Gilly kept dropping returns over the bails, like 2-3 times an over. That would never happen.

There's no customising fields which is fine for the demo. Hopefully the game will let you be more hands on with it. The only downer is that it looks like a last gen game. Textures and models are really poor in particular, but the lighting isn't bad and the animation is ok if a bit jumpy. It seems like they've got full player licences this time too and the likenesses are pretty decent.

If the online play is lag free and fun I'll definitely get this. An online World Cup would be awesome.

I have just spammed my friends and evoked the power of Zeus to get them to download the Viva Pinata demo. This might lead to a spike in sales.
