Xbox 360 Live demo availability thread

I can confirm this is full hd 1080. Using a VGA cable on a Dell 2405FPW.

Nice to see such a high resolution used when the game is just a port. Other the the resolution the graphics aren't that impressive. The women still look like monsters, but that's sort of expected since it's a VT game.

I played 4 games and i only dived about 2 times per match while winning all 3 matches, it's almost the same as the previous virtua tennis games.

the graphics are nice although i think the shirts moves a little too much it almost starts to irritate me haha, it's a nice effect but it could have been used a little more subtle.

I LOVE Virtua Tennis 1/2 on DC/PSP.. that said, I'm not feeling this VT3.. I was all excited for it, but after playing the demo, I'm not so much. The diving thing is beyond ridiculous, I'm diving all over the place. It looks nice though.. and I agree.. the music is horrid.

VT3 is pretty poor, it doesn't appear to outdo Topspin 2 in any regard whatsoever.

This was a no-brainer pick, but not better than TP2. ( I love TP2) There is no need to pick this up.

I've only played the demos of each, VT3 seems to have better graphics but thats it. I didn't really care for the gameplay much, it seemed like every single move I did was a dive and it started to get annoying.

Well try and move your character around the court and intercept the return, The game no longer has the overly wide hit range for shots so players need to be more intelligent with their movement.

Gold Only?

Some of your opinions are really annoying to read. If all you can do is dive in VT3, it's just because you haven't played it enough to pass judgement, nor did you have the will to. People are getting too easily frustrated with games nowadays. Sad.

learn to play it better. Seriously I was doing the same thing, takes a little getting used to but after that is craps over TS2 in the fun department.

After playing the AC4 demo earlier in the week I just went and bought it today. SOOOOOO much more fun than the plodding Chromehounds. From Software has been good to me.

I have the opposite reaction to this demo. It's the chromehounds engine, but the controlls are ass backwards, and there is jumpy, spazy movements without any control. I much prefer Chromehounds to this.

I will also have impressions after it finishes dling. Sucks that it isn't coming out until the 15th of may though.

dunno, i was pretty psyched for this since it looked like a smashtv/zombies ate my neighbors smash up but it seemed kind of substandard.

the controls are a mess, requiring you to move with left stick and control your aim with the right stick. sounds great, right? wrong. you have to hold a trigger to fire in addition to aiming as well as constantly mashing the x button to pick up weapons as you run around throwing random books or tvs or whatever.

i got a dual wield nailgun looking thing at a totally random time and it seemed fair but there was no rhyme nor reason as to why i suddenly acquired it. i guess i'm just spoiled by smashtv/maximum carnage, robotron type controls.

This game is awful. Its mostly the controls fault, but understanding what the hell is going on would be nice.

Too bad, I'd have bought it if it didn't suck.

I played it a few times, trying to give it a fair shake, but no matter how many times you play it the control in the game is asstastic. The graphics are also rather horrid for an "unreal engine" touted game, they crammed too much useless shite on screen and spent little time refining the controls.

Damn shame it sucks ass, the 16 player online sounds like it might have been fun, but the bottom line for a game like this sometimes less is more...

I'll have to get Monster Madness a try tonite, I was looking forward to this type of game on the 360, though the sounds of it have me worried.

I find that really interesting as I was able to grasp the controls almost instantly. Of course I also loved GunValkyrie so maybe that has something to do with it.

I really liked this, reminded me alot of Hunter:The reackoning on the xbox, all the furniture was a little distracting and useless though. I liked the enviromental traps like the lawnmower and powersaw.
Shame no-ones online
edit: and that cheerleader chick gives me a warm funny feeling

Well after getting pizzowned in Fear multiplayer(even got one of the "noob achievements" argh) I played a bit of Monster Madness.

Hard to get into I admit. The first area is really cramped and hard to get around in, plus having to face objects in order to pick them up feels kind of wonky with the control setup. Also the tutorial blows and I was totally confused on what did what.(Oh and for that matter what is up with the blonde girl's breasts..damn they just...everywhere)

I managed to find a multiplayer match going though and it's pretty dumb fun. I picked the Goth chick and jumped around slicing up people with the katana but then I ran into a helicopter propellor and died. :lol Lots of random-ness keeps things interesting.

The after-demo teaser is interesting though, shows off a ton of diverse environments and cool stuff(16 player matches, bosses, lots of bizarre weapons)

Guess I need more time with it. Wish the framerate was 60 btw..don't see why it isn't. :(

I wrote about Monster Mayhem today, if anyone is interested.

I can't believe this game isn't getting more hype. It's really fun. I have to give props to South Peak Interactive for making a demo for this game. I wouldn't have played it otherwise. Now, I can't wait to play through the final version with a friend. D3 really should take notice. Without a monster marketing budget, a notable license or fancy graphics, your game will not get noticed at retail. Earth Defense Force needs a demo of its own so people can experience the awesomeness.
