Xbox 360 Live demo availability thread

I wrote about Monster Mayhem today, if anyone is interested.

I can't believe this game isn't getting more hype. It's really fun. I have to give props to South Peak Interactive for making a demo for this game. I wouldn't have played it otherwise. Now, I can't wait to play through the final version with a friend. D3 really should take notice. Without a monster marketing budget, a notable license or fancy graphics, your game will not get noticed at retail. Earth Defense Force needs a demo of its own so people can experience the awesomeness.
South Peak Interactive needs to take notice of D3's pricing of EDF.

QFT. Although I think this game can do ok at $50 but it doesn't stand a chance at $60.

Yep. For a game with quite a bit of an emphasis on multiplayer it's going to be killed by the $60 tag.

That said it's a fun game, but the price is just all wrong.

The Shrek the Third demo makes me feel like someone took a dump in my xbox's dvd drive

:lol :lol :lol I felt dirty.

I was hoping for big things from Monster Mayhem, 4 player co-op story over live etc. but just tryed to play the demo and the cameras aweful, he levels cluttered & I just get confused straight off. Tryed playing with a friend and they just put down the controller. Anyway I wana give it a fair chance, Ill have another go when the mood takes me :)

Nobody's playing public games on Live, which is a big sign that people do not want it, but I want to play multiplayer before making such judgments.

Actually I liked Monster Madness, though I'm probably influenced by the fact I've been looking forward to this sort of game for a while.

The graphics are great, early screenshots had me worried that the game would be too far zoomed out and it would be difficult to see any detail but in general they were fine for me. The physics are really cool, launching a bomb in a room full of zombies and stuff that explodes (or lots of little objects) and it's pure chaos, very cool.

The controls are HARD, I figured they'd be like SmashTV but they're much harder, couple complex controls with tons of items onscreen and I think a lot of people will feel lost when playing the game for the first time. After a while you get used to them and they become more intuitive but initially the learning curve is nearly vertical.

The voice acting is kinda crap, at least the character I picked, though it sort of a non-issue with this sort of game anyway.

I couldn't get online this afternoon, I hope tonite I'll have more luck, I have a feeling that it will be pretty good.

My only beef is the price, if it was a little more budget oriented ($10 less than normal 360 titles) would be more attractive.

I thought that if the gameplay was slowed down a bit, and the weapons were less powerful, that MM could have been a lot better. It would have forced you to interact with the environment more. Ie. set up chairs in front of doors, use the furniture to impede zombie movement, to use more of the furniture as weapons.

Instead I was just mowing people down with the shotgun...wasn't that fun.

Graphics were awesome though.

GAH...it's 7am here in California and C&C3 demo is still not up.

Every time this thread get bumped it makes me want to reach for the controller and hit the guide button and turn it on and start downloading. GAF is toying with my emotions.

delaying this because forza 2 demo was a surprise out today would be badass, but isn't happening

Had no idea the C&C demo was coming out today, nice surprise, can't wait. Demos hitting the marketplace at a pretty high rate these days

The Command and Conquer 3 Demo is up, and clocks in at 1.00 GB...
God bless you. I knew that some mythical forces were keeping me awake. Thanx for interpreting the message from the forces.

The description on XBL says "Hone your skills & destroy friends", it also supports Xbox Live Vision so all signs point to multiplayer being in here...

Prepare to be pwned squire, you have a little while as thing is the slowest download on Live of recent times, but going to be worth such frivolous tasks.
