Xbox 360 Live demo availability thread

Oh and you can select either Japanese or English voice acting on the X360 version too, which is nice.

Congrats on the PS3 JoeFenix. It is a great system. :)

So whats the general consensus... should people waste a gig of their monthly download limit on this thing(Moto demo)? Considering I only have 20gigs a month to play with too...

I wouldn't, then again I've never been into the series.

I hate internet services that are size constrained. I hope it is fast at least.

I just had a first go at DW:G demo and the colors and textures look quite good imho, not muddy whatsoever, AA is definitely in, but of course I've got this running over HDMI. Solid 60fps, but no rumble, what is up with that Koei? I hope this changes before retail, but I have my doubts.

Stop it already. Plz. :lol

I spent at most 10 minutes with the MotoGP demo, but I didn't notice last year's screen tearing. I tried to hang back during a Laguna race to check frame rate and I noticed slight frame drop with multiple bikes bunched together. By multiple, I'm talking well over half the field.

The controls feel much more stable this year. It's hard to judge since Rookie is the only difficulty setting, but I wasn't nearly as prone to crashing when racing close to other bikes. That's definitely a change for the better imo...as long as it isn't abusable, especially at higher difficulties.

Overall, this felt more immediately accessible than last year's game. I'm not sure if that's good or bad yet, but it's definitely making me reconsider my "no way in heck am I buying a yearly moto game" stance.

Going to download Moto GP tomorrow.

I tried out APF and... ugh. I'm happy with my purchase of NCAA 08 and am confident in my future purchase of Madden '08 -- that's all I'll say.

Someone has to get me a job describing Xbox Live demos.

They actually use the words "hack and slash". :lol

Anyway, fun demo, if a bit repetitive.

Moto GP is garbage... same frame-rate catastrophe as the last one with a lot of slow down and frequent chugging. Also, they made power-sliding easier which should make it accessible to non-experts now. Graphics look very nice, but the slow down kills everything good about this game.

FFS, I can't believe they didn't lock the framerate after the massive backlash they got last time.

Oh well, sale -1!

I'm okay with the minor slowdowns in Moto GP 07. In this case, I prefer 60 fps over locked 30 fps. The most important thing for me is that they finally enabled v-sync and luckily there's no tearing at all.

Sales +1

I concur. I dloaded the demo and it's pretty much a rock solid framerate. Nothing at all like '06. Even the replays, which used to stutter like crazy, are for the most part smooth.

Very impressed.
Sale +1 :)

Edit: Crapsandwich, there might be something wrong with your download.

MotoGP 07 is a must have for bike fans.

solid framerate, very nice color pallete, good cameras, nice stat tracking, added gfx details like pre-race umbrellas thing etc

demo has single player and online. everybody should try it.

edit: crapsandwich are we seeing the same demo?

MotoGP is much improved in terms of graphic performance vs 06 but the game seems to have lost some of it's uniqueness. While there doesn't appear to be any tearing in 07 the game seems very sterile now. I liked how in 06 the camera would sway with the bike movement but that seems to be missing in 07 so the sensation of speed and movement seems lesser. I was excited for 07 because I hoped it was 06 fixed but the game feels a lot different and sadly not something I'm all that interested in now.
Good for me I guess since it's not like there is a shortage of other good games from August->Dec.

gundam is terrible. really really bad. maybe i'm playing this wrong, but it makes 99 nights look incredible varied and deep in comparison. deleted after one 10 min game. yuk

motogp. quicker load times (which were HORRID in last years game), better menus and presentation. i like the helicopter track shot before race and all the bikes, pit crews, camera crews, etc on the track just before the race starts. wow! aaaaaand, thats where the demo ends for me, as it crashes my (dying) xbox each time :(

EDIT: 3 red lights :/

didn't capcom announce that the 360 version of dmc 4 will be playable at games convention in leipzig?

gc is in less than 4 weeks, i guess we will get the demo until then.

According to Unscripted 360, we can expect the Stranglehold demo to hit Marketplace on August 8th.

Also, according to the German software rating board USK, a Bioshock demo is on the way. USK recently gave the demo a rating. No official confirmation by Take Two yet though.

Take Two and / or Irrational Games said no before, so I doubt the USK is right. Unless there's going to be a demo after the release, which they didn't rule out.

Not sure what to think about Gundam Warriors. I'm hopeful that the demo is poorly representative of the final product in terms of stage design, and combat intensity. Warriors game's(the good ones) usually offer a nice ebb and flow when it comes to negotiating the map and maintaining morale. None of that seemed present here which is worriesome.

No real events, challenges, or side missions that alter the scope of the battle. Pithy boss duels, pretty lame musou and charge attacks by Heero(musou beam won't even auto-scale up hills and terrain?), and closing the guard zones seemed to barely effect the battle scale or boss duels. Hmmm....

Have you ever tried so to click a link so fast that you couldnt do it on the first go, neither the second or third, but you had to take a breath and slowly collect yourself the fourth try.

That was me, hoping to see the Bioshock demo news....

With scores that high, a Bioshock demo should deserve it's own thread.
