voltron said:Thats what I heard too. This date is popping up all over the web although weve yet to see official confirmation. It was probably mentioned at E3 or something.
Midway Games just announced that demos of Stranglehold (PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) will be coming by August 8 for the Xbox 360 and PC. According to Cinder of the Midway Forums, they expect the demo to be up on Xbox Live by then, with the PC demo made available over the major download veins.
Last week, senior game designer Patrick Curry announced that Midway had completed the Xbox 360 demo version and submitted it to Microsoft for verification. They promised "tons" of gameplay in the demo, and Curry mentioned, "Youll be hard pressed to find a demo with this much gameplay crammed into it."
But still nowhere in sight is the PlayStation 3 version of Stranglehold, although it could be safely assumed that it will be out aroudn the same time (or relatively later) over the PlayStation Network. Curry, in fact, reassured PS3 gamers that it's in good hands, stating,"You PS3 owners don't start fretting, we're working on the PSN demo as I write this, and its coming soon too!"
Those who are eagerly awaiting the Prince's arrival on the Xbox 360 are in for some good news: Namco Bandai's Beautiful Katamari Damacy will hit Japanese Xbox Live on August 22! If you're one of them hardcore types who signed up for Xbox Live Japan to get first dibs on most game demos, then you'll certainly have an edge over other Katamari fans.
To enhance the rolling experience in Beautiful Katamari Damacy, there will be leaderboards that will show off the way you roll; better practice your moves now on the other Katamari video games so you'll earn bragging rights, rewarded by no other than the King-of-all-Cosmos himself.
The Make-a-Fiery-Katamari mission is back with a vengeance, and the King has cooked up an interesting way of punishing the Prince if he doesn't live up to Katamari expectations: hitting the Prince with pool balls? Large pool balls? That's gotta hurt.
On a related note, lucky fans from Japan will get an immensely cool Katamari-themed strap if they pre-order the video game, Beautiful Katamari Damacy. We sure do hope that the treat will make its way to Western shores, just like the Prince PSP case. In any case, here are some screenshots of the game from Famitsu to tide you over 'til the demo's release on August 22.

But there is no fixed schedule like PSN store. I used to get update on www.xboxlivepipeline.com. Looks like MS killed it.BenjaminBirdie said:I tried making one in December 2005 and was told that there was "already a demo thread".
I'd love to make a daily one, tanod style.
(Not a new thread every day, mind.)

Illuminati said:I was so dead set on getting Blue Dragon before even playing the game. After playing the Blue Dragon demo I was left with a "meh" feeling towards the game. I've had zero interest in getting Eternal Sonata. I thought it was a happy go loli Japanese type of RPG. After playing the demo, I've done a complete about face with this game. The game looks incredible, the battle system is so awesome, and from what I heard the soundtrack is great too. I'm not going to get Blue Dragon now, but this instead.

McBacon said:Hey guys, I was down at Sega yesterday to see Sega Rally (and The Club zomgwtfgivemenow) and the PR dudes said a demo for Sega Rally would be avaiable in September.
pswii60 said:What was zomgwtfgivemenow about The Club?
Wario64 said:I got the same feeling too after trying out the Eternal Sonata demo today. I liked it very much, more than Blue Dragon. It was quite a surprise
McBacon said:Just the whole idea; a third person shooter with a score on it, and you have to get kills in quick sucession to add to your multiplyer, learn every level for the perfect line. Those who have OCD about getting high scores in racing games or Tony Hawk or Geometry wars will go insane for this game.
Also, the graphics are really freaking good.
pswii60 said:What console was it being demo'd on, the 360?

Did they say anything about a demo for The Club as well, or did you forget to ask?McBacon said:Hey guys, I was down at Sega yesterday to see Sega Rally (and The Club zomgwtfgivemenow) and the PR dudes said a demo for Sega Rally would be avaiable in September.

PR said:Hertfordshire, UK- August 13, 2007 - KOEI, today announced the release date for the Fatal Inertia demo on Xbox live along with confirmation that this release will be followed up with playable demos for Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War and Dynasty Warriors GUNDAM on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network. Fatal Inertia will be available for download across Europe from August 14th. The playable demo for Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War will be available in early October with Dynasty Warriors GUNDAM to follow a few weeks later.
For titles like Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War in particular these demos are vital in giving gamers the opportunity to experience a flavour of what is a completely new gaming title. Words can only convey so much of what is a distinctive departure from the Dynasty Warriors games that KOEI are renowned for. By giving gamers the chance to experience firsthand what our games have to offer we hope that actions will speak even louder than words said Will Curley, Sales Manager for KOEI Ltd.
Fatal Inertia will be available to buy on September 14th. Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War will be released on November 2nd with Dynasty Warriors GUNDAM to follow on the 9th November.
