I'm putting the auction up in a few hours and just have a few quick Q's if someone can answer...

1. mine has Live Gold 12 months, is there any way to transfer this to the other person? maybe deleting the credit card info somehow?

2. if the above is possible, any way to transfer marketplace points? i've got about 1400 sitting there

3. i've never shipping anything this expensive before, what carrier do you recommend? i know to definitely add signature confirmation so the buyer doesn't Paypal chargeback

2. Same as 1.
3. I shipped mine USPS with signature confirmation and insurance.
 
You could give the person your e-mail address, thus allowing them to use the same e-mail address for their passport account. I'm not sure that would work, though.

agreed, if it's not a financial or some kinda other urgent situation you dealing with ,i must remind you that selling your system on this holy month of march is consired as a "sin" by the followers of great william gates III.

that could work, it's just a random yahoo e-mail as well.

it might be overly complicated to explain in the auction description though... especially knowing how dumb most videogame ebayers are.
 
btw, to the others...

outside of those 2 games, GRAW & Oblivion (oblivion being better for PC), what else is there to look forward to on this console? halo 3 in 2007? the only game that i'm really looking forward to is Blue Dragon and that's a 1st quarter 07' release in the U.S., so i'm selling it now to get the most out of my money. this system is really lacking some killer exclusives. i would've liked to get all 3 consoles for next-gen but who has the time to play all those games? i'm getting 2 of them; rev for the weird shit and ps3 for traditional gaming.
 
Don't. Just delete all your personal info from the HDD. Trying to transfer the account or marketplace points isn't a good risk for the possible reward -- a few more bucks isn't worth the massive amount of heartache you may end up with.

Besides Halo 3... There is Gears of War, BioShock, Too Human, Crackdown, Mass Effect, Dead Rising, Lost Planet, Resident Evil 5, and Splinter Cell.

Lots of awesome XBLA content. The next Starbreeze title. And hopefully games rumored like ET: Quake Wars, and the next F.E.A.R. (whatever the new titles will be).

Those are just off the top of my head. GRAW should be enough though! Who needs anything else?

Gears doesn't look all that interesting save for the graphics... nothing new about the gameplay, and it looks linear as hell.

RE5 is multi, Splinter Cell might be as well with the delay to September.

Crackdown and Mass Effect should be great, though. But not enough for me to keep this thing. It's either 360 + Rev or PS3 + Rev... I expect better exclusives from the latter.

btw, Arcade was a major reason I got a 360... and it's been a dissapointment so far. Too few titles, and the ones that do come out are unoriginal or stuff we can already play. Give me the TMNT or Simpsons arcade game... something like that. Not Root Beer Capper?!

Whatever, hopefully whoever wins it from me will enjoy it more than I did...

Got any games to sell? And if you're going to just burn the extra points, give them to NinjaBee. Get Outpost Kaloki X and all the expansions and stuff. It's a great game and I think they deserve the freebie.
 
jedimike: right now all i have is sealed PGR3 and Madden from the bundle i bought... also a 2nd controller sealed. was going to return them to Walmart but been lazy. sure whatever, i'll blow the pts on Outpost Kaloki X
 
Microsoft hasn't even announced all of their titles for 2006, why don't you just wait 2 months for E3?

If you already bought it, you're pretty much flushing money down the toilet because I guarantee you're going to buy it again by end of the year - Especially if you like XBLA. Why should publishers announce XBLA titles they're releasing this summer already? There's no reason to. The title announcements will come like the UMK3 and Street Fighter ones - fairly soon before the games are released. Historically games come out at even a lower pace than they are on 360 (which had the largest and most polished launch lineup EVER), you have to remember how long we were stuck with crap like Battle Toshinden on PSX until the flood of games started coming TWO YEARS after it was released.

i've tried pretty much all of the noteworthy games...demo or retail. i actually just signed up for a Gamefly subscription and rented DOA4 and NFS:MW... and I haven't touched them in days. literally played doa4 two times, beat all the story modes the first, then screwed around the online 2nd... haven't played since. NFS I've put about an hour into and got bored. i'm starting to think that maybe Nintendo's on to something with the videogames need a revolution talk as the majority of this stuff doesn't interest me anymore... maybe growin out of it, i dunno.

Have you been around or paid attention during any console launch of the last 15 years?

You're expecting way too much if you think PS3 is gonna dump 10 killer exclusives in your lap during the first 3 months of its release.

And here I thought I had a pretty bad case of ADD.

like i said... i'm not basing it on the games out now, i'm basing my decision on the future line-up... just a few games interest me, blue dragon, crackdown, mass effect. BD is 07' and ME might be as well... + japanese support will be non-existant with the current sales.

the killer exclusives are seriously lacking, and most games are multi-platform. it seems like the system's being whored out every chance they get. everyone has different tastes man, it's just not my thing. hope you all enjoy yours...

anyone who's a huge FPS or Racing fan should have nothing to complain about...

It's always fun to see people who buy a system right after launch and then scream "where is all the software"? As if they expected a steady stream of software for the next 5 years.


With any console launch there are gonna be some slow periods the year after the launch. March is about the explode though and April will be strong as well. Plus, it sounds like you are already 100% sold on a PS3 and it is not even close to release yet.
 
Sounds to me like somebody needs money and instead of admitting that he's a poor bastard, let's troll 360 instead. Sorry but it's a bit hard to believe that somebody will sell a console they've only had for a month despite the fact that they were looking foward to a couple of games being released in the coming weeks.
 
It's easy to get hyped up for a console launch, and then find out after you bought it that it wasn't the right decision for you. It almost happened to me, but i resisted. Might as well sell it soon and get the most money possible.

yeah, that was my thinking... sure it would be awesome to play graw & oblivion for a few months, but i might as well sell it now to get the most money if i'm gonna sell it anyway later.

btw, it wasn't my intention to bash 360... several people came in this thread and went off-topic

I dont see any must have game on 360 right now either. Unless you like paying $60 for hi res versions of multiplatform games.

If you want to sell it then now's probably a good time (while they're still hard to find).
