No........maybe 3 weeks of slightly better sales, and both were not selling great. 360 had a great 2 weeks in Japan. The ps3 in this past 2 weeks made up for the sales that the 360 got. I don't see it happening again for a japanese rpg made with westerners in mind.

Yeah I don't want to get into the frontline here as I don't constantly watch who is biased about what but it is noticeable that the amount of Uncharted and KZ2 pics and mentioning (even when its totally unrelated) is far bigger than I have ever seen for the 360 "counterparts"...just wait for February though.

You notice kz2/uncharted being mentioned more often because it's a bit more common to see hardcore xbox fans trolling the ps3 than hardcore ps3 fans trolling the xbox 360. A lot of uncharted and kz2 comments are just a knee-jerk reaction from ps3 fans when the usual suspects use poor ps3 ports to mention how the ps3 can't pump out good looking textures, polygons, etc. Of course, it doesn't help that ps3 fans take the bait rather easily.

I'm gonna be brutal honest here as I see it it really is the Sony only fans that seem to be the insecure ones, going out of their way to sway threads, troll other systems and leap to posting screenshots or finding any old argument to bitch about why there purchase is the right choice for them while it seems much harder to find the same 360 only guys.

If you seriously think only sony fans go out of their way to sway threads, troll other systems, you obviously haven't been in many gaming threads.

Looking at the facts, I'd say you are underselling things here (3 weeks instead of 6, "slightly better sales" being double in some weeks).

Ultimately, it doesn't matter as it's extremelly unlikely the 360 will ever catch the PS3 in Japan- but from your post I detect a hint of pro-PS3 bias. It is probably wise to maintain true objectivity when attacking others for bias.

I mean, I agree that the uncharted pics get thrown around (and KZ gifs) while you rarely see 360s fans doing that. However, 360 fans are some of the most aggressive, abrasive, offensive, whatever you want to call it, fanboys around. Just look at this thread, you have so many people saying shit like "wait for the drama queens", "LOL PS3 120 fps" "4d", "PS3 fanboys this and that" but how many times do you hear the opposite? Rarely.

Ps3 fanboys tend to circle jerk and brag about their own shit but 360 fanboys like to insult others.

I think the problem is that you were passing off those comments as they were facts before they were facts. I mean it's pretty apparent which console you support and which console you dislike, so I don't see the point of trying to hide it.

yeah, this is pretty weird. some of the eurogamer shots suggest very different character lighting between the two versions -- but as your shots show, the lighting on celeste looks similar between the two demos, and leadbetter doesn't mention it in the article. maybe it varies from scene to scene, or maybe those shots are somehow misleading. i'll take another look at the ps3 version tonight

Yes, but you see, people only look at the pictures. Look through this thread for those saying they will go for the 360 version based on the screen comparisons (which aren't even like that as already proven).

Yeah, those Eurogamer shots reek.

I mean, we know by now that the 360 is better for multiplatform games, but the difference isn't that huge. Last time I've seen differences like that were Ubi's 2007 games, Splinter Cell et. al.

Unprofessional at best, biased at worst when they chose these shots.


Also, I'm trying hard not to post the Physx .gifs from Mirror's Edge PC. Don't want to make this discussion more heated as it is already. :lol

Well if anyone reads the source (the guy who does the frame rate analysis and captures) via his post at B3D or his blog, the guy comes off very biased. This after EG developed a pro-360 bias over the last 3 years doesn't bode well for their "reporting".
