Xbox 360 wireless headset problems..

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but how the fuck do you get the wireless headset and the wireless 360 controller to be connected to the same quadrant? Every time try and sync both... the headset always disconnects... and then I only have the option to switch between Quads 2-4...

I am probably just stupid... but I need some help and I have looked through the manual.

I'm not very knowledgeable on this but I think this is a known issue with certain controllers or wireless headsets or 360's or something. I remember seeing a video a couple of weeks back on youtube or similar about this issue. The guy could only switch between channels 2,3 and 4 on the headset once the controller was on.

Edit: this wasn't the vid I saw, but it MIGHT help, or one of the linked vids might.

Yep... thats my current problem.

Boy if I got to buy another fucking wireless 360 controller someone will die.

Call MS. I think it's a known problem and they weill send you a replacement controller or something. Major Nelson mentioned it when people starting having the problem.

Sync the headset first with the controller powered off. If that doesn't work, try syncing the controller to something else, the PC receiver, a friend's 360. While the controller's un-synced, sync up the headset, then sync up the controller again. If it still bumps the headset to quadrant 2, you probably need a new controller. Try a friend's controller, if possible, to make sure.

Edit: They sent me a free headset when I called and complained that my original one was constantly disconnecting. I didn't even know it was in the mail. The first headsets were shit.
