It's still amazing how some devs can nail the camera control in their FPS games while some seem like they don't know shit about what they're doing. Take for exampe Halo, that game's control is amazing- to the point of it feeling like a mouse in most cases. Then you have PDZ where it's a total pain in the ass to hit anything unless you fuck around with the controls for a week.

Then there's Quake 4 360... I was a bit hesitant to download the demo, but fuck, after playing it, I almost want to buy this game because it controls so damn well. Even on the default sensitivity you can stop your crosshair anywhere you like with little trouble. Even though I can play the game maxed out on my PC, I still had just as much, if not more fun playing the 360 demo than I did most of the PC version because of how enjoyable it is. I don't want to start a mouse vs. gamepad flamewar so fuck off with your opinions ;)

So yeah, I think they should adopt a policy for 360 where all games use the camera control mechanics that Q4 does, or at least similar ones like Bungie's where the acceleration and shit is just perfect. There are a lot of good games that just ruin it for me because the dev can't get a grasp on the camera controls... which makes me worried because GRAW looks sick as hell but I'd rather fight tearists than the control settings.

PDZ has some retarded option where your aiming movement accelerates the longer you hold the stick or some shit. That and the unstable framerate is what makes the game hard to aim imo. My targeting goes all over the place in that game. I also hate the trigger zooming in that game, it's cool that you can zoom at multiple magnications but all I need is two zooming options like Halo

and yeah, Quake 4's aiming is suprisingly good!

Almost all the FPS at least on xbox, shares the same control scheme of Halo.
it's superb

yea... but I think you're talking about using Y to switch weaps, X to reload, etc. wolfenstein on xb did that, but the looking was terrible

Actually I was talking about the way you move and aim with both sticks and shoot with the triggers, the differences on the button layout are a very minor deal.
