Xbox One: "All In One. Input One." banner

Man, they really are focusing on the way you don't have to switch inputs for the X1. Going hard after that lazy-as-fuck cash.

what is hilarious is that their policy of MUST INSTALL the game will cause of ???? from average consumers who never installed a game on a HDD in their lives. These are people who think it is supposed to play the game just by reading the disk LOL

It's not that people don't get what they could mean by "Input One" after thinking about it for a minute. It's that the banner is totally ineffective. Being the first input doesn't mean anything to most people, so the sentiment is lost even if they are able to hash out in their head what it means. When a banner leaves you semi-confused and mildly annoyed, that's not a good banner in my book. Maybe if there was some pop culture reference about the first input being the best for some reason (like Seinfeld did with speed dial) this might have worked.

This reminds me of something Molyneux said about MS's goal was to make the Xbox input one lol.

“There’s always this talk about making consoles ‘input one’ on the TV,” he added. “It’s the fight over moving from it being your Sky box to your Xbox or PlayStation 4, and for me, as a gamer, I don’t want that. I want my ‘input two’ to be my games console, and I just think all that stuff tends to confuse it.”

Input one Social Security card to better expedite the process of MS and the NSA spying on you.

It makes sense to me but it seems like it should have been two separate banners.

One that said 'Input One' and another that said 'All-in-one'

Welp, that's pretty much exactly the line of thinking involved. Only neither Sky or games consoles are actually usually on input one. At best you'd get HDMI 1.

"So we got the boring stuff no one cares about out of the way at the reveal. Alright guys next job, what should we promote on the banners at E3?"

My TV has separate numbering for every kind of input, and you can rename stuff to what's on it rather than AV 1

I get what they're going for but this is such an awkward catchphrase and a lot of people won't realize what the hell it means.

For most people it won't but it gives to some insight to the mentality and expectations of the people who made this thing.

Honestly, I don't know.

I own a receiver so that made no sense to me at first and needed it explained, what the fuck.

I was thinking the 'input' might be the 'user'. Continuing their slogan of 'you are the controller'.

Yeah I have no idea :S But I think this might be an indication of what to expect tomorrow. Plenty of games sure but they will spend time on this too I reckon smh

Input One.

Wow. Who is the marketing savant that came up with that turd?

This man is sabotaging them from the inside.

But two banners wouldn't be One. You have to cram all your shit together, preferably with a webcam watching you to make sure you're not stealing from the mouths of starving publishers.

I have a PS3, 360, Wii U all hooked up to my TV. I have NO IDEA which inputs they are linked with. You switch the console on, the TV switches input. God damn Microsoft!

I thought the input was the controller, but then they showed both the gamepad and the Kinect in the same shot.

Marketing fail.

PS. Microsoft, I have my receiver (and thus all my devices) connected to my TV via Input Two, because that's the one that has HDMI CEC or whatever. Thanks.

On my TV its called HDMI1 and sorry, it's reserved.

Oh my, I would never have guessed this is what they mean without help.

You pay people and this is the best thing they can come up with? Seriously?

On the other hand it is so bad that might generate some buzz, I guess...
