Xbox One Best Games 2015 Showreel trailer

Tomb Raider Exclusivity Terms is about as mysterious as Bigfoot.

"Holiday 2015" is all they have said about the exclusivity of Tomb Raider on Xbox since Day 1. This is a good thread to read up about it. Geoff Keighly could only gather that it was "Exclusive on Xbox for Holiday 2015" Andy Macnamara gathered from his sources it was a timed exclusive.


Phil Spencer also had some pretty specific words to use, especially the whole "We're saying what we said on stage!"


Asked to clarify the specific terms of the Rise of the Tomb Raider deal, Spencer wouldn't be budged on the "Holiday 2015" line, despite developer Crystal Dynamics suggesting its game won't be coming to PC and PS4. Neither would the exec comment on the wording, "exclusively on Xbox", which could suggest an Xbox 360 version of the game is also in development.

"We're saying what we said on stage," said Spencer. "In Holiday 2015, Rise of the Tomb Raider will be exclusive to Xbox. That's the comment.

A decent showcase reel with an odd title. It's like the marketing folks had no clue when many of those game came out

Tomb Raider will be the likely purchase since I'd rather not wait to play it on my PS4.

Otherwise looks sparse for me.

Exclusive for 2015 benefits MS by having a game to answer for UC4. It benefits SE by not losing to sales of UC4 on the PS4. If they release it on the PS4 in early 2016 everyone's happy. MS obviously won't confirm this.
 
QB is one of the biggest flagship exclusives they have, it makes zero sense that it isn't in here. They didn't just forget.

It is weird how they say "Only on Xbox One" for Ori, yet other games (Forza and Tomb Raider) emphasise the Xbox platform instead. Maybe it has become a full Xbone exclusive, although that would be odd as they went to great lengths a couple of months ago to clarify that it definitely was coming to 360 as well.

Thanks a lot for taking your time to answer me as well for the quote and the link for the other thread! :)

I really hope this game can reach more platforms instead of being snagged by Microsoft. I know some people who really want to play this on the PS4. Same case for the Street Fighter game coming for PS4 & PC but not Xbox One. I understand pure exclusives, like FORZA/Gran Turismo or Killzone/Halo but for the other games I really hope most consumers can play them no matter their platform of choice. Here's hoping the best for Tomb Raider reaching the PS4 (and PC) as well.
 
That's a weird trailer. At first it seem like they are focusing on recent titles released and then included the stuff coming the first half of the year. Then Tomb Raider is included. No Forza 6 and no Quantum Break. I doubt QB will be delayed until 2016, though. That just makes no sense.

Only thing really missing that they might show for this kind of trailer is state of decay.

These trailers are not going to have several indie/downloadable titles sees last year's one for example.

Yeah I'd rather keep that info private, no offense to Neogaf.

This trailer is missing so many games that it feels rushed. Maybe it's some agreement they have with certain 3rd parties to advertise their respective games a little more.

Nawl I'm good. I like uncharted and I have the first 3 but I'm not dropping another $400 for one game. I have a PC and X1 (and my last gen consoles). So Tomb Raider is just enough for a substitute for me

Lucky for them that these games are not available on the PS4. Phew! Dodged a bullet there.

Trailer was a bit lame as well. And missing some actual exclusives? Who approved this trailer?
 
Wow, we must have gone back in time or stuck in a loop like groundhog day as I'm sure some of them have already been released last year.

MS must be aiming for the uninformed customers again trying to make it look like all them games are new to xbox this year.

Yeah I don't know if it's a mistake or if they changed it to a full exclusive.
The wording is pretty clear; I'd assume "only on xbox one" means just that.
