Xbox One owner buys PS4, what should he play?

Looking at buying a ps4 end of the month but as a xbox one owner I'm in two minds. Buying a console for infamous, killzone and resogun seems a bit silly. Any advice?

Again... Battlefield4, Final Fantasy XIV, InFamous, Black Flag too if you want some crisp resolution, and thenn indie
Pointless/waste of money to buy PS4 third party games if you already have them for your Xbox One.
Infamous is a no-brainer since it's the PS4's most recent "big name" game. Resogun is good too. Can't really make any other suggestions outside of that.
I personally feel that the best two console combo is Wii U + (PS4 or Xbox One) since you are getting more game variety and spending less money... well, at least as of right now.

Buying a console to play superior versions of most multiplat games is not silly, especially if you have a large 1080p TV and appreciate graphics...

Wait until after E3. You'll have a better idea of the exclusive Autumn/Winter line up and you'll probably be able to snag a decent bundle at that point too...
He never said it was silly. He more so simply meant buying a ($400) console just for a handful of games he's interested in.

Well PS4 is mostly worth buying for the best versions of multiplatform games and cheapest price. I wouldn't recommend people get a PS4 if they already have a XBO.
But Resogun is still free on PS+ along side Mercenary Kings, and a free trial to PS+ should be included with the system, so you can at least try those games out. They're not great but still pretty fun.

And if you haven't played the xbox one version of AC4 your better off anyway. The ps4 version is noticeably better.

I'm about 50% through AC4 on Xbox One (which looks noticeably better since they removed the sharpening filter in feb/march.
That extra 180p isn't going to make the game any less boring anyway
here we go!

I did the same thing, got a PS4 because of the Infamous frenzy, played it and enjoyed but it's not a lenghty game at all
After that i got Resogun wich is absolutely awesome, but still an arcade game, wich means that you get back to it for short burst
Now i'm playing through Killzone because i was curious to try it out
After that i'm left to wait for Driveclub and The Order wich sucks hard, but i'm the kind of guy who always buys all three consoles for each gen to get access to all the exclusives, if it's like that, it's a great piece of tech and the good games will come later this year

Yeah, EU here. The trial didn't work either as I had bought 3 months of PS+ before.
I've bought a PS4+infamous+12 months PS+ which comes to about $700.

That wouldn't make any sense since Resogun can be purchased and played without plus.

It's £12.69 or $21 for me, is the fact it was free influencing people's opinions would they have paid that much if it wasn't free?

Infamous SS is worth buying the console just by itself imo. Best game so far this generation. Since you already did that I'll suggest -
- Killzone SF is very pretty and has a decent campaign if you like more thoughtful, methodical shooters. Ignore the hate from the twitch shooter crowd.
- The PS+ games are a no brainer. Resogun is amazing and Don't Starve is pretty interesting too.
- Third party games are all better (some pretty significantly) so you could buy those that you missed on the Xbox One and still want to play.
More games will come. I did pretty much the opposite and bought nearly everything on PS4 so far this gen. Still, Killer Instinct by itself justifies my Xbox One purchase (Zoo Tycoon is a surprisingly fun game too) so I have no problems waiting for Halo and Gears Of War on that console.

It's not free, PS+ is a subscription that needs to be paid for and recommending subscribing to the service means paying money. When the subscription ends it means Resogun is no longer playable so you need to keep paying the fee or buy the game separately.
Regardless of how people recommend you play Resogun you're paying for it one way or the other. One is a rental, the other is permanent.
