Xbox One S 500GB Minecraft bundle for $212 (Amazon)

Amazing deal but... and not to derail the thread, but what's up with not showing the price? I clicked Why? and it says the manufacturer won't allow Amazon to show the price? Why wouldn't MS want them to show a cheaper price?

This Reddit comment explains the concept of Minimum Advertised Price well

Basically there is an agreement in place between MS and Amazon in place to not "advertise" the product below a certain price (in this case showing the price before the customer's made the minimal commitment of interest represented by adding to cart) because they want to

A) Protect the perceived value of the product
B) Protect their own retail outlets which probably won't sell below that minimum advertised price anytime soon

It's a very "light" form of price fixing

Because although Amazon can set the price independently, companies like Microsoft place restrictions on how it is shown - especially if it's lower than the company's "lowest advertised price." So, red tape is the reason.

EDIT: I was beaten to it. =)

Ahh I see, interesting. Was a little confused when I clicked the link and couldn't see a price lol.

I just googled it and it's illegal in the UK, makes sense why I've never seen anything like this before.

Thanks

I learned something new today

Ugh. I spent so much on psn.. I was going to pick an S up with Dell deal but I don't think I'd have time to use the S. Maybe for the 4k bluray.. Smh #reallifeproblems.

I did the Xbox One S 1TB with Gears 4 bundle for $270 on Wednesday.

If you don't care about the extra space this deal is pretty good though.

Damn, if you have a 4K tv and even consider yourself some sort of gamer, get this. $212 for a UHD player that also allows you to play one or two games you might not otherwise have gotten the chance to play as well. Such crazy pricing. The controller is much better as well, bluetooth, headphone jack etc.

Holy moly, Amazon has the PS4 slim w/ Uncharted 4 for $212.49 and the PS4pro for $339.99. Its the best time to be a gamer.

These deals are on C.A.G (cheapassgamer)

Question before I trade my XB1 for a new S model - Can I just plug my external HD that has most of my games on it into the new XB1 S? Will there be any issues or will I have to download the games all over again?

edit: nvm, found the answer

Is the ****** installed or can i sell it?

I want to Trade in my old Xbox at Amazon. However I'm using a replacement power brick. Would they accept it?

Argh the battlefield 500gb wasn't available a few hours ago at that price. Wife wants the green color but I wouldn't have minded the white with battlefield. Could flip the download code for a decent price and made this a pretty good deal. Already have 5tb externals we use on our launch Xbox Ones. Oh well. Hopefully the 1tb model has a better resale value when the Scorpio comes out? Yeah I'll just go with that.

I'd jump on that if I could trade in my OG Xbox One + Kinect. But I sold my controller from it so I'd have to buy a new one.

I always thought it was to fight against price matching/scanning bots

Shit just bought the Gears 4 One S bundle Friday for $250 to use as a uhd bluray player for the ks8000 I just ordered. Knew I should of waited, least I got a $25 gift card and another free game with that one.

And Xbox One is traded in, used the credit for the battlefield 500gb bundle plus 3 month of live, for a difference of $99, I may sell BF1 so it could even be cheaper.
Note, they did try to charge me $4.49 for shipping even after I picked free shipping, because of the 3 months live code. chat support fixed it.

I am now a Xbox S owner. YA!

Screw it, took the plunge. Trading in my old xbox one system to them and upgrading to the One S for $98 or so. Plus free one day shipping and BF1 and 3 months of xbox live is pretty sweet. I just need to find a cheap original Xbox One controller for the trade in.
