Xbox One Titanfall bundle for $399 w/ $100 discount code at MS Store (Update: gone)

I was a 360 guy who went PS4. I bought this. My plan:

Paid $427
minus ~$95 (Kinect goes to eBay)
minus ~50 (Titanfall goes to eBay, playing on 360 b/c friends)
= Xbox One for $280.

Not bad? Unless not having a Kinect bites my ass later with Halo 5 integration or something.

To be honest, I think most people who went for it only did it because they knew it would be a very limited deal. If it was always $399, I'm not sure how much it would sell. More than now for sure, though.

Isn't it a digital copy of Titanfall? Guess you could sell the code.
 
Is there even a demand for Kinect on ebay? Who would buy it separated when every console comes with one?

Ooooooh, almost bought it.

If this gets honored I honestly don't see a better deal coming along for a long ass time. That was a really good price (compared to MSRP).
 
I just realised, anyone who's already activated the "1" promo code still has it activated even if the promo is over.

It will still apply the discount in the Cart. Mine still shows a discount of $100 for the Xbox One.

EDIT 1: The discount is still there even after removing all items from cart and adding new ones in.
 
I had this shit in my cart, shipping address, billing address, CC info in, staring at the submit button and I couldn't do it.

I got married several months ago, and this was my first "My wife will kill me!" moment.

If I'm going to die, I couldn't let it be Titanfall that pulled the trigger.

With prices like these, it will be $300 and kinect-free by the fall! I'll jump in then if they have a decent JRPG announced.

Two very serious questions:

1) Why would anyone buy the Kinect?
Kinect 2.0 comes bundled with every Xbox One system... and I don't believe (but I'm not sure) it works with X360. The only reason for someone to buy your Kinect, is if his/her Kinect is broken and he/she desperately needs it.

2) Why would anyone buy a digital version of Titanfall for $50?
The physical version only costs $9 more - and I'm sure there will be people offering physical copies for $40-$50.

Enjoy your purchase, but I think you'll earn far less with Kinect and your digital Titanfall code, than what you think you'll earn.
 
Great price, though obviously a mistake. I hope your orders go through though.

If this was active on the Canadian store I might've been tempted, too.

Gotta go with this. You're better off reselling the whole bundle, make a profit and then buy the system when you intend to keep it.
 
A good price to be sure, but Dead Rising 3 is the only game out for the Xbox One right now that I have any interest in (and none in the horizon I am aware of), so that's not enough to justify a purchase right now. The games I do have an interest in are (or will be) inferior versions of multiplatform games.

Alas, maybe when Quantum Break has a release date and looms closer.

Still a great deal, maybe the cheapest we'll see until a price drop in some time!
 
Good luck to everyone who got their orders in. I'll be hoping they let them go through.

This reminds me of the issue at Tiger Direct a week or so ago where a whole bunch of stuff was listed as 97% or 99% off.
 
I really hope my order goes through, because this was a rare impulse buy for me. If not I'll just wait for a white X1 @ the same price point :)
 
So very upset. My order was processing, and then it produced an error. Ugh :( Very happy for those that got their orders through, however.

Even selling it for $30-$40 should easily get him a sale.

And there's always the odd person who will buy one. Maybe for tinkering/hacking. Maybe they're broke, and they don't want to deal with MS's service. Maybe they're paranoid and want an extra.

He'll probably sell it. It just might take a while.

I didn't camp out, I bought Atelier Escha and Logy yesterday and saw quite a few bundles behind the desks, and if you go to BestBuy or Futureshop websites they are readily available to purchase, not even low enough stock to have a countdown of remaining units.
 
So wait. MS has a storewide glitch that knocks 20 percent off of anything you put into the cart and somehow that means that they desperately want to beat Sony at the NPD game? Man, some of y'all have been on the front line for too long. The war is frying your brains.

Where I work, several researchers use Kinect 1.0 for robotics, etc. Since you can't buy the 2.0 without the 'box, maybe some are looking for it?

I think it has more to do with people not reading through the thread and only responding to the thread title/OP, then assuming it was a special deal for the bundle, which is itself annoying.
 
Pretty good deal. I really wonder what effect an actual price cut will have in NA and the UK. I don't think it'd start outselling the PS4, but it should help the X1 keep up in my opinion, at least until Sony does their own price cut.
