We're done here. First post strikes yet again. So I can't be Carlos Danger?
Haha. Oh wait, you were being serious.
Why would anyone want to use their real name online? I really cant imagine a situation where the added risk would be worth it.
Just send a photocopy of your passport to the NSA and a utility bill from the last three months and I'm sure they'll let it slide.I wonder how strict the word filters will be. Alan Cumming might not get to add his real name.
Friends, social feed.
This isn't bad news per se, but it is another feature they said would be there, but is pushed back.
I CAN'T USE MY REAL NAME, SHUT IT DOWN!
DOOM!!!!!!!
Why would anyone ever use their real name?
Is this even...bad news?
Not sure if serious.
These are "meh" news.
Haha. Oh wait, you were being serious.
I really don't understand why anyone would want to use their real name anyway.
I read you can do something like that on PS4... just share your real name and facebook profile on PSN to friends... the gametag is public.Does Microsoft and/or Sony allow you to use a gamer tag for the public and your real name for your actual friends?

http://www.slashgear.com/playstatio...e-real-names-in-addition-to-psn-ids-18298438/Sonys reasoning behind this is that it can draw in casual users in a way that PSN IDs may not, with one perhaps being more inclined to accept a friends request from someone with a real name rather than an unusual ID tag. When requests come from random IDs, one is less inclined overall to accept them, not knowing who is behind the accounts.
With real names, such trepidation is nullified, and beyond that the use of real names reminds one that there is an actual person behind that name, and more of a gaming relationship could potentially form with individuals who otherwise may not be willing to connect. Sony wants to see its user base expand, and it feels this could be one way for that to happen.
Those who are uneasy about using their real names wont have to, however, so gamers need not fear that their online anonymity is in danger. Those who want to continue using their PSN IDs will be able to do so without any issues. What do you think of the change? Do you like the idea of being able to use your real name, or will you stick to more anonymous tags?
Not as big a deal as 900p.
Not as big a deal as 900p.
But I'll play BF4 at 1440p.Yeah. It sucks BF4 might run at that resolution on PS4.
Yeah. At this rate there probably wont be any games to play either. Not that anyone really cares about this feature, but it's showing how rushed this Xbone launch really is. If such a tiny feature can't even make it day one, I wonder what else is missing/broken/buggy.

Could it be that they know this is such a miniscule feature that they have decided to not spend any time on it at all now, and will add it in down the line when things calm down a bit.

Doubt it.
That's every system for a long time now. When's the last time you got something at launch? Not that anyone really cares about this feature, but it's showing how rushed this Xbone launch really is. If such a tiny feature can't even make it day one, I wonder what else is missing/broken/buggy.

I'm pretty sure your real name is already associated with your gamer tag. Unless you lied during registration of course.I am certainly not associating my real name with my gamertag. And I wish Google would stop asking me to do it on their shit as well, lol.
Tout a feature, end up delaying it just to make the date, like what happened with a few other features as well, as I recall correctly.
That's pretty much what "rushed" means, no?
