Xbox Ones are Cheap on ebay/craigslist/amazon

They're scalpers that thought they could profit from it and were too stupid to return it before Dec 22nd.

I hope no one buys them. Xbones are everywhere, leave these shitheads with their $500 paperweights. I hate people that buy shit for the sole purpose of scalping

I work for Target and a lady came in literally every morning looking for Xbox Ones. She ended up collecting 12 of them from us with the intention to resell them. After Christmas, she returned every single one of them because she couldn't resell them.

Serves the bitch right.

Even if your don't like the game, Ryse is anything but shit. Everytime I see someone take such a extreme, I think "hey look at me, I'm hating on your game." needs attention person.

Scalping is its own thing, but I hate seeing people return Christmas presents. It always seems thoughtless to me, unless it's a duplicate or something like that (My folks bought me NSMBU last year for Christmas).

I suppose it's possible that Xbox One is just horrifyingly awful though.

No reason keeping something you don't want when you can swap it out for something you do want.

so she lost no money, just some time.

Are you sure they aren't stolen? I remember a while back a bunch of 360's showed up on my city's Craigslist for cheap prices all sealed up.

You just refunded her TWELVE Xbox Ones? wow.

Hmm. Checked my local Craiglist, on recent listings people are selling used complete systems for around $400, and new ones with extra game(s) for $500 flat. Interesting.

Yeah supply for XB1 seems to have really stabilized in the US

So probably a mix of people reselling Christmas presents and maybe some resellers who didn't return for some reason

People who are selling xmas presents are going to be far more willing to sell at a lower price as they want to flip it quickly and won't feel the burn of the lost money from the initial purchase price

Most recent one in my area is December 5th at $650 despite the fact that you can find them at gamestops, targets, and walmarts no problem LOL

The sad part is the listings before Christmas show quadruple digit prices holy shit.

I guess you never heard of the old business saying "Time is money". The lady wasted her time on ebay or craigslist listing it, wasted gas on driving to the target and could've been more productive doing something else, like finding a job that makes it noy worthwhile trying to scalp on ebay

On craiglists people keep mentioning they got it for Christmas but want to get rid of it.

I wanted a PS4 but got an Xbone for Christmas, I hate my parents! #FirstWorldProblems

But seriously, nice deal there. And it warms my heart knowing that some scalpers have gotten their plans fucked over between this and the Wii U last year. Pity the PS4 is still ripe for scalping.

I was able to get my first PS3 like this. Some guy that clearly had bought a $499 model and had been unable to turn a profit on it and just sold it for $400 instead. Lasted 7 years!

Wow there really are a few that have gone for under $400 here in the US. One sold yesterday for $350. Most are going around $450 - $500 it looks like (new), while PS4 is going for right about that and maybe closer to $500.

I sold a PS4 for 500 recently. Pretty crazy how demand for the Xbone is drying up sooner than expected. Doesn't bode well for keeping up Sony level headed in the console war competition, MS really let me down considering how well the 360 had done despite it's flaws.

Not trolling...but if you got and Xbox One as a gift and you really wanted a PS4 - selling it at lower than street price makes sense. You might be willing to go as low as the cost to buy a PS4...400 bones.

Do you hate the companies that own the stores the products are sold at too?

Do stores actually not have a risk when they fail to sell merchandise? A scalper usually just returns the item to the store for a full refund. Can stores send their Xbox Ones to Microsoft for a full refund?

Even if your don't like the game, Ryse is anything but shit. Everytime I see someone take such a extreme, I think "hey look at me, I'm hating on your game." needs attention person.

It's not shit, but it's not a good game either, those first chapters are especially bad. Gets better at the halfway point though.

Microsoft's supply chain is damn impressive.

I'm going to direct my friend who wants a xbone b7t doesn't want to spend 500 on just the system and kinect.

Or they have a different opinion than yours.Someone thinking a critically mediocre game is shit does not automatically mean they're looking for attention.

Both Sony and Microsoft have great numbers of hardware out there, Sony is just spreading their supply more so than Microsoft.

Just checked my local kijiji and craigslist.

I couldn't find any bones for sale but there are about a dozen ads with people trying to trade their xbones + games and accessories for a PS4.

Do you hate the companies that own the stores the products are sold at too?

no, because these companies barely make profit off systems sold. Not to mention, they sell them at MSRP.

but hey, let's continue to just ignore that. Target selling a X1 for $500 is the same as some douchebag trying to sell his for $1k on craigslist.

well of course they have a different opinion, I thought the game was great, but calling something "shit" is extreme. for example what if I called TLoU "shit" wonder what type of feedback I would get? Is it my opinion or am I being extreme?

I got to play it last night. I thought it was pretty cool to be honest.

There are people who have called TLoU shit. Some of them just don't enjoy the game and I don't automatically dismiss their opinions as simply attention seeking. Some are, some simply have their opinion. Anyways, that's a different beast since TLoU has won a plethora of GOTY awards. Critically and popularity wise, ryse isn't in the same category, hence why very few people are going to get up in arms over someone thinking ryse is shit, because that's probably a majority opinion. The more people who enjoy the game the likelier chance people will defend it. I mean honestly if someone wanted to attention seek they'd be better off calling popular games shit instead of mediocre to average ones.

A better comparison would be knack or something. I mean it has it's following but I doubt most people are going to think you're extreme or simply attention seeking off the bat if you show extreme dislike for it.

Is that a serious question? You legitimately don't know why someone doesn't like the idea of scalping? lol wow.

Scalping is the perfect example of free market economics. Nobody's forcing you to buy it. I don't feel sorry for people who forgot to pre-order.

Both Sony and Microsoft have great numbers of hardware out there, Sony is just spreading their supply more so than Microsoft.

There is probably also more demand for the PS4 in general. It's why the PS3 was in stock after the holidays in 2006 while the Wii was nowhere to be found.

Nobody is buying them at inflated prices on eBay/craigslist/etc. since they're readily available in stores and have been for quite a while.

Either it's true and they got it was a gift and don't want it, or they're stolen goods.

Lol. Do most free markets have a guaranteed buyer if your merchandise fails to sell? Scalpers can return it to the store, and have basically 0 risk.

Heh, the folk in here getting worked up over someone trying to make a buck on someone who has more money than sense. If Joe shmoe can pull it off, more power to him.

You want a launch console, be prepared to pre-order early like everyone else, otherwise wait for a steady supply of stock.
