Xbox Play Anywhere Titles

This is the first I've hear of HW Definitive. When is that coming out?

Bonus for Halo Wars 2: Ultimate Edition.

Halo Wars: Definitive Edition is an enhanced version of the original Halo Wars that runs natively on Xbox One and Windows 10. Halo Wars: Definitive Edition includes improved graphics and all of the DLC created for the classic real-time strategy game.

finally, I'll be able to play Ark: Survival Evolved on PC'

for real tho, the fact that Crackdown 3 is coming to PC is the best news I've heard all week. I love Crackdown more than anything.

Really wish we could get Halo on the list. Phil get a great team on it! It doesn't have to be 343i.

I would bet that the reason Halo isnt getting a PC port right now is the competitive scene because it sort of throws a wrench into that whole thing. Do you let m/kb players into that? If so the controller players would probably not like that, or do you just say no kb/m competitively? Maybe I'm wrong and they feel like they won't do Halo 5 justice with a good PC port.

First party and indie games. Better?
That's ok with me for now. I won't be buying anything but their first party titles from their store anyway until they sort out UWP. I would encourage others who want their store to do well to do the same because the store will not thrive otherwise, it will only struggle more than is necessary against steam and others. I for one would like to see some good competition for steam. It would be great for consumers.

Just occurred to me that Halo Wars 2 will be mouse & keyboard compatible on PC, yeah? In! Was really frustrated by controller command for RTS. My brain couldn't work with it.

I wonder how powerful a PC will be needed.

Any clues?

You need a PC 4S. PC 3 can run them, but it's kinda choppy. Definitely go with the PC 4S.

🤔 should I sell the Xbox and get a 980, The Scorpio would still technically be faster correct ? 980 @ 5tflops and Scorpio is at 6? Decisions.

Aren't all of their PC releases pretty unoptimized so far?
It's the one thing stopping me from building a rig right now

Killer Instinct is excellent on PC

I can't vouch for anything else at the moment, but I've heard Gears 1 got patched. I dunno how Forza or QB are doing right now.

The Anniversary update will bring a big store rehaul

My guess is that the App Store will be for stuff like Candy Crush, whilst more traditional games will be put on the Xbox App's store, but its just a guess

When is the Anniversary update coming?

Now I need them to go into their backlog for Halo 5 and Sunset Overdrive. I'm cheap as fuck buy I'd pay $60 to have MCC on PC as well lol.

Won't happen, I know.

tbf, I was torn between getting Ark on Xbone for the game sharing or on PC so it wouldn't run like complete shit.

Now I can have the best of both worlds

Wish DR4 was play anywhere.

why isn't dead rising cross buy?

ps3ud0 8

Yeah, such a strange omission.

Probably because it's only a timed exclusive. It's a console exclusive but only a 90 day exclusive on Windows 10, which means it's coming out on Steam. Likely they couldn't get Play Anywhere to work (legally) with Steam titles, so instead of not making it available to all they made it work with none.

Isn't Cuphead on Steam?

I think it has more to do with the fact that it's a third party game. Microsoft doesn't have to make the Steam version support Xbox Anywhere, that's one of benefits they'll be using to get gamers to use the Windows 10 Store.

It appears that third parties aren't on board yet, they just see it as lost revenue. Hopefully Microsoft can convince them in the future or provide other incentives for then to enable it.

I would imagine the lack of Dead Rising is because Capcom remember how much money they had to spend removing GFWL from all of their titles and aren't exactly desperate to be the first to sign up to another PC gaming initiative from MS.

Nice, being a more PC gamer now this is great.

You realize you only get that ability by paying the ridiculously high prices in the Xbox or Windows store? Your standard PC game sets you back $35 to $40 at launch. With Windows 10 store it is $60, like the console game. I think it's not in the sightest good value if you are a PC gamer, it's only good if you are a console gamer and want to switch to PC over the next years.

Mouse Control will be great. I have been wanting to get a new RTS, this should do nicely.

Dead Rising may not be included because it's coming out on Steam 90 days after launch.

Why do you think it cant exist on both. Buy from Win Store, it pushes to both XboxPC and your console. Buy from Steam, you download PC version from steam.

Its no different on Console or PC. If you want to play FH3, you have to pay $60 for it. Sure there are alternative racing games on PC that are cheaper, but, there are other cheaper racing games on the console also.

Codes are also sold at retailers, so its very possible to get third party prices
