Yo-Kai Watch |OT| So this is like SMT, right?

Glad Yokai is here to feel the gap left after Pokemon ORAS. I imagine if Z is happening it's probably coming in Spring 2016.

Was not expecting Cadin to be given. Actually, by the anime's logic ...
he died while in my pocket. Oops!

Edit: No picture option on Miiverse. Nooo...

Good deal, gonna snag it now. Man. This, Fallout, and the new XIV patch are going to be keeping me busy on top of everything else going on. What a great time to be a gamer.
Add on top of that that Call of Duty, Guitar Hwro, and Assassin's Creed are all apparently they best they've been in years. I don't have time for all this :(

And Bloodborne DLC this month!

Pokemon will always be my main hoe, (and I really hated the battle system in Yokai's demo) but I'm really intrigued by the prospect of a simple, cute story revolving around quirky designs of Japanese folklore monsters.

So, essentially lukewarm on the game, but still tempted.

Is it bad that I'm thinking about getting this because the localization's setting is really close to where I grew up? I'm pretty sure I've played soccer in like the closest town to here.

Somewhat glad that NA gets this a month earlier than AU, you can all be beta testers and tell me what you think of it in a month :p

Bout an hour in so far, this actually is kinda like SMT, huh.

Game is super charming as expected, kinda easy so far, but I'm not terribly far in so I can't quite judge that yet.

I'm also a terrible little girl who can't pay attention to the traffic at all.

So I assume unlike Pokemon, you're not supposed to simply keep the same team of your favorites, and like SMT you should switch them around---but when is a good time to switch them?

Really fun game though, with a LOT of content it seems. Still kind of confused about the little bits of the battle system like how weaknesses work, is there a type chart or do you have to trial-and-error each individual Yokai.

This boss fight was great. I am loving it so far.
Edit: Wonder if reviewers knew pressing X will fast forward battles. Probably not...

Just use whatever Yokai you like. You get and buy orbs that give EXP when used so you can level up Yokai that need the boost. Quests also give decent EXP when completed.

My US copy should arrive today (based region-free)! Hyped for the game, tried the Japanese version but then it came to my knowledge that they'll localise it, so I decided to wait.

I watched some episodes of the English anime and found it highly enjoyable, but I didn't want to bite the bullet at 50 bucks (Canada)...

But now I really want to play after looking at the list of Yo-Kai. I really like some designs like Thornyan.

Can we get away with using unevolved Yokai?

My friend got me the game and I've been playing it since the early morning. It's quite charming and while I thought I might get bored during the fight, it's actually quite hectic and there's always something to do -unlike the demo, where I sometimes ended up just watching the Yokais do their thing.

I just wish I wasn't so bad at catching bugs!

Ha ha! Bug catching and fishing take a little practice but soon enough it'll become easier once you get used to timing your button press

I was pleased to find out that Cadin is your "starter" Yo-kai. I was not expecting that at all, I thought it would be Jibanyan. Cadin is one of my favourite Yo-kai thus far, judging by the english show and the demo, so I'm totally happy.

I also didn't realize that you could nickname Yo-kai. I'm just sticking with the default names for now so that I can learn them better.

There's a 10$ off any purchase of 49.99 or more in the TRU toy guide from this week's paper. That's 20% off Yo-kai Watch! Usable from the 6th to the 8th.

Pretty hyped to play this. Love Level 5 and the game looks really cute, could be something to try and fill my 3DS void for the time being.
