NIS America has opened sign-ups for the Yomawari: Night Alone PC beta.

Applications for the beta will close on Sunday, August 21, and beta testers will be selected on Monday, August 22.

Because they want to test it on hardware they don't have access to? They're outscourcing their QA a bit.

Because Japanese PC's have the same hardware as everyone else and it's already been released in that region. Maybe it's to test new OS packages? No idea but i'm glad they're being thorough because this seems completely unnecessary for a translation of a year old game.

They want to check for potential bugs on the PC version. The Vita one is already finished.
They did the same for Phantom Brave PC

To test the performance and get feedback, lately the console>PC ports are pretty awful.

Ah, ok. I forgot and thought google side info was saying it was released last year for it but PC obviously mentions the translation. Makes a ton of sense.
