Rage Arts are pretty gimmicky and lame right now.
Camera angles are just for special instances. Certain powerful hits, grabs, and of course, the supers. Oh, and when two hits come close to connecting at the same time, you get slow-mo.

I thought I'd hate it but I actually like it. The head tentacles look more like horns tbh which makes it look cool to me. And he's got board shorts just like T3 Yoshimitsu (which is one of my favorite costumes for him) which is a nice bonus

One of the best things about Tekken 4He looks cool, but quite a radical departure from the previous outings. 4 was his best form, come at me Tekken 3 bros.

I feel like both Tekken and Soul Calibur have gone down the shitter in terms of art since the very first couple of games. I can't even recognize the series these days. The old designs had a lot more charm.
There are times when I think that some franchises began to go down a rather skeevy path when technology allowed developers to put more and more detailed shit on screen. Simplicity doesn't have to be a bad thing (even if Yoshimitsu kind of needs to be "out there").

I like yoshi new design .. it looks like it play the same , but with different timings for the follow-ups. The super attack was kinda lame IMO , lacked destruction even if it was somehow stylish ..but it didn't resonate within me.
As much as i like the character , looks like it won't be my main.

Fuuuuuuuck! What a great thing to wake up to. Somehow, this is just what I wanted to see. Especially after playing Bloodborne. My man, Yoshi living up to that crazy constantly changing design each game,. Love it.

Reasons why i don't like it:
- I always saw him as a robotic, armory kinda guy
- How the fuck is he supposed to move his sword around without cutting one of his tentacles. It doesn't make sense... He spins around faster than a kid in Disneyland... how would he not touch his tentacles at some point... sigh

This made me chuckle more than it should
I like the design, it's a bit strange with the tentacles but that's one thing that always made Yoshimitsu unique in Tekken, you never know what he will look like
Wonder how a friend of mine who semi-mains Takomitsu will react to it.

Always one of my favourite things to look forward to when there's a new Tekken or Soul Calibur game. This one's pretty ace! Freaky as hell, but that's Yoshimitsu for ya. I wonder what his alternative costume will be like... For the record, my favourites are all the Tekken 5 costumes and his Soul Calibur V costume.

As someone who has never played Tekken, but plenty of Soul Calibur: I'm confused.
One alternate bonus costume that doesn't get brought up a lot is this one from 5.
I thought it was rather fascinating.
One of my personal faves, too. And the sword.
In every Tekken to come out so far (and SC), Yoshimitsu always gets a drastic appearance change, especially post Tekken 2.

This is random, but I just wanted to share. I always imagined Yoshimitsu as a kind of demon/alien, but more in the sense of him being interdimensional like the
, not "flying saucer" type. He possessed a human body, that is not sufficient enough to sustain him. Thus, with Dr B's help in many instances, switches bodies whenever he is in need of it, or something superior comes around. Which explains his often cyborg appearances, or straight up large biological predatory creatures.
And then, maybe he is confronted by all of his old bodies in a massive showdown ala the final battle of The Bride versus the Crazy 88 in Kill Bill.

I suppose this isn't the first time they've gone for an octopus/squid-like design.
Although that was Soul Calibur.

No idea, but this one is the ugliest by farm IMO.
He looked really nice in Tekken 2 and that's how I'll always remember him.
Not that fond of Namco's design these past years (started with SC, I think SC4).
