I actually know of a few twitch whales who will promote a few streamers I follow. It is pretty sad to see they donating 50 subs then the chat starts to beg for more and they do it again and must feel accomplished. I know that some are swimming in money and the twitch thing is like pocket change to them, but still pretty pathetic. Can't blame twitch for making bank on them.

I don't see a problem with it. Whenever I decide to change jobs I pay for the premium version for various job sites for the signal boost and it works extremely well. What Twitch is doing is basically allowing someone else to pay to do it for you! I would love it if someone else wanted to pay to signal boost my resume!

This system is 100% going to be exploited by gaming publishers who are paying for sponsored streams already.
Also, this seems really bad for small channels trying to gain traction. This will only serve to boost the channels that are already big.

I don't see the issue. People donate a lot directly to their steamers via twitch already so if they want to try and grow their favourite channels why the hell not?

At this point the platform should IMO split into two separate services, something like Twitch Gaming and Twitch Cam - just let the girls go all-in and observe as the revenue skyrockets, while gamers/kids will have their safe place to watch gameplays, events and tournaments far away from porn.

Theres norhing stopping them from creating another only fans type thing, but why lose all the kids that want to watch notporn on the notporn site. Same reason movies want lower PG rating, you make more money.
