You no longer are required to perform one bodily function

The best answer is easily the ability to crack your knuckles, neck, toes etc. It's gross and unhealthy and no one should do it.

It is fun and it is not unhealthy. That last one was proven by a weird scientist that cracked one hand every day and the other one never.

"Breathing" is actually a very good answer, and I hadn't considered that. Being able to go underwater freely would be awesome. But you'd still need specific gear for certain depths/temperatures, and going into space isn't exactly feasible, whether you could breathe there or not (and even if you could get there, you'd have to wear a suit anyway to prevent you from freezing).

I'm going to have to go with "sleeping". Getting an extra 7-8 hours every day would be life-changing.

To the people saying sleeping is awesome, that's only because your body needs to sleep. How awesome does the prospect of sleeping seem when you're wide awake and alert in the middle of the day? Imagine feeing like that all the time.

So you would never feel exhausted? I think it's part of the human experience to feel tired and need to "recharge", it also provides a way to bring in new perspectives into your mind.

I think Aging is a better answer. Watching everyone you love die would be incredibly depressing, but you get to accomplish so much and see so much.

Living.

Am I now immortal?

Interesting that some would choose sleep.

I think that if there was nothing to break up one day to the next, I think I would start to go crazy. I think my sense of time would be completey lost

Sleep is a healthy escape from the stress of the day.

I would probably choose to get rid of bowel movements myself.

what if you were always energized and always relieved of your days stress.

thats why lack of sleep sounds good to me.

Telomere shortening. I'll live forever! muahaha.

Until I get riddled with cancer from all the unregulated cell division caused by my actually really shortsighted decision.

Eff sleeping.

It's great but I don't like that my body pushes me to do it everyday lest I want to risk my health, sanity, and brain function.

I could work another career and still not have free time if i gave up sleeping

Would bring a wholly different definition to night school.

Feel like employers would take advantage somehow

nope

Water pressure will still crush you, and you will freeze n explode in space

You won't explode nor freeze in open space. There's nothing to give your heat to and your body holds itself together very well. As long as you don't die of (blazing sunlight) radiation, not having to breath will keep you alive a little longer in space. You'll die of boiling yourself though. :P

Sleeping is such a weird answer. You'd just have more time to do nothing. I'd choose eating. The money saved would be life altering.

I didn't mean to use the word unhealthy. Although it is worth pointing out that cracking your knuckles is certainly not making you healthier. Most of the evidence points to knuckle cracking being harmless but it can result in injuries, loss of grip strength and potentially exacerbate arthritis symptoms. All that being said, those are all pretty small concerns and statistically unlikely to happen.

Cracking the neck though is actually a bit more of an issue. People feel that their neck is stiff so they crack it, but it is actually a self-replicating phenomenon. Your neck stiffens itself up to try and give itself the support it needs and this stiffness causes you to crack your neck. Neck cracking in older people can lead to some pretty serious stuff like potential strokes.

All in all, the medical literature says that finger cracking is pretty harmless, and neck cracking is also pretty harmless but it can lead to some more serious issues. I really just think it is gross because I know that the cracking sound is the Sinovial fluid capsules exploding, and not just innocuous bone grinding.

I would either choose: Living (either be immortal or the living dead) or Eating (..I don't really like food and am a very picky eater, I usually have to force myself to eat to sustain myself).

It uh wouldn't work like that. You would still need down time and even more of it and even more regularly if you didn't sleep.

That's not really a fair stipulation though for this. It would be like saying yeah you don't have to eat but you would still get hungry and lose energy if you didn't.

Eating. Not only would it prevent me from having to take medication for my issues with digestion that screw up my entire body in general, I also find the whole process of in- and digesting, as well as extracting, to be utterly disgusting. Every single second of it, starting from it going down the tube, is just gross to me.

Pooping. I go anywhere between 5-10 times a day.

You definitely should see a doctor about that, you probably have gastrointestinal issues, as that is not the norm.

Sweating / body odor, for sure.

Makes exercise and summer complete nuisances.

That's a close second for me lol.

Would the better "bodily function" to lose be feeling tired? I'm being pedantic here, I guess.

Eating. You have to do it multiple times a day, it takes time, and eating too much or too little can lead to health concerns.

Eh I could learn how to code, finish school work, get a 2nd job, not waste a third of my life sleeping etc. Sleeping is a huge waste of time that I wish I could do what I want with. I agree though not paying for food anymore would be awesome.

I'd give up sleeping in a nanosecond. I'd like to be able to do it when I wanted to, to pass time or whatever, but sleep as a 100% voluntary thing would be my pick, no question.

Sleeping or breathing both seem awesome. With no sleeping I could go to school, work a full time job, workout, and play video games. Then again with no breathing I could run or ride a bike for a really long time without getting winded, breath underwater, become an astronaut(they would hire me no doubt), be a fire fighter, etc. Would recovery count as a body function? If I could workout without having to rest and recover that would be pretty awesome.

Eating fo sho, save money, body would be at optimal intake levels without use of dieting, and no more eating because you gotta be polite. Id still get like some food occasionally.
