Why was the art style changing even a thought. People keep saying they don't want it to be like TTG, but, this is a third season of YJ, not a new show.
I'd wager this will air on WB's new streaming service that was mentioned.
Who are the new gods?
Sorry for bumping this thread, but I want to discuss/speculate what might be in-store for Season 3 of the show.
Yeah, I just want to talk about this show, as I had re-watched the two previous seasons to get myself prepared for Season 3.
- The series has already brought in Intergang and some of the New Gods, so it was only a matter of time before Darkseid was brought into the fold. It wouldn't be too much of a shock that Season 3 will focus on him being the main antagonistic force, with Vandal Savage (possibly) acting as his right-hand man.
- Greg and Brandon have already confirmed that the series writers had planned another time skip for season three, but didn't delve much beyond that. Now that Season 3 is confirmed, how long will the potential time skip be? I personally would like a shorter skip, like 6 months-1 year, as Darkseid isn't the type to rest on his laurels for conquest.
- New/returning heroes? Starfire, Raven, & Cyborg have been heavily requested from fans to join in on the fun, but my pick would be Stephanie Brown/Katana to come under the tutelage of Nightwing. Given the diverse nature of Young Justice, having Captain Marvel Jr. to highlight a disabled character that can transform into a powerful hero would be a great inclusion, but Freddie could also serve as an interesting way to explore Captain Marvels backstory.
the show is also giving Savage really great screentime and respect

That sounds usual.
I have a feeling the first episode will continue where it left off. Aqualad was giving the team three missions to do at the end of the finale. The only one I remember is needing to show proof that The Reach drink is back on the market under a different name.
Plans might have changed since cancellation but the original S3 plan was another time skip.

The way they worded it was referring to the S1-S2 5 year gap so that is what im assuming.I wonder if that time skip is just for one character, though.
Which makes the most sense I think. There are quite a few status quo changes at the end and I think it would be quite messy to try to deal with most of them in real time. Especially after the audience has been gone for so long.
I remember hearing that the time skip would be about forty years into the future, so I think what we could see is a future timeline where Wally accidentally time jumped, and he has to become a better speedster to get back and save the Team.
They've said way back when that they've considered doing a flashback arc, this could be for that

So Wally is not dead? That seems like a very odd way to confirm it.
Yeah, that's what I figured as well (him coming back, not the Impulse/Tigress relationship thing). The one thing I wasn't sure about was Greg was pretty adamant speed force didn't exist in this universe. I can't see how Wally can come back without speed force shenanigans. We'll see though. The way that Wally died made me think he was going to return, probably as the fastest Flash as I think he is/was in the comics; and he was the slowest in the show. It also seemed like they may have been setting up an Impulse/Tigris thing.
Wally has to come back because the Wally/Artemis pairing was the GOAT pairing and I refuse to be sad about that S2 finale forever.
I want an original Hawk sidekick character to be introduced into the fray (Kendra Saunders Hawkgirl based off the Earth 2 character pls), if only for the Hawks to get some more substantial speaking parts.
#teamHawks
Only thing I need is nightwing to be a main character again and not doing cameos.
Does Green Lantern even have a character that would fit in the show. I know it kind of dropped the sidekick theme in S2, but they were still mostly young heroes. None of the earth lanterns would really fit without drastically changing them. Kyle could maybe be aged down but his origin has a lot of baggage. One of my biggest problems with S2 was they got freaking Nightwing in there
and he hardly gets screentime despite being the leader.
I saw a few places suggest Raven for S3 to put a new magic person on the team.
Also a Green Lantern apprentice but I don't like that idea really.

... Like romantically? He's a minorThe way that Wally died made me think he was going to return, probably as the fastest Flash as I think he is/was in the comics; and he was the slowest in the show. It also seemed like they may have been setting up an Impulse/Tigris thing.

Is making me crave it so badly.
The person that suggested it said Kyle.
No thanks imo.
Jessica Cruz would be a much better fit as a young lantern. Or better yet, Power Ring.

Back when the Miller Justice League fell apart Teen Titans would have been a perfect direction to go, especially because it can be disconnected from all the Leaguers. That's why I think DC is stupid since marvel doesn't really have a team teen up movie DC could had done it first. Like make them more less serious let Justice league be more serious. It could had worked out if they done it right instead of rush shit oh well.
Or Jade. Because then you don't have to address why an intergalactic police agency is recruiting minors. Also, her powers being from a different source means she can be nerfed down to a level appropriate for the Team.
Mattel fucked the toyline all up is reason #1.Just got to the end of Season 2 on Netflix. I enjoyed this series waaay more than I was expecting. I'm not sure why a Season 3 wasn't guaranteed to begin with.
How so?Mattel fucked the toyline all up is reason #1.
