Your Best Team Ever in Pokemon?

Alright so continuing on with Pokemon what was THE best team you have ever assembled in your pokemon life?
Mine would be my Pokemon Platinum Team
Lv 97 Infernape
Lv 94 Staraptor
Lv 94 Luxray
Lv 91 Roserade
Lv 88 Porygon Z
Lv 95 Ampharos(traded a Mareep to Platinum)
My Runner up is my Pokemon Y team.
Lv 88 Blastoise
Lv 86 Espeon
Lv 86 Talonflame
Lv 78 Chesnaught
Lv 82 Raichu
Lv 85 Dragonite(friend traded me a dratini lv 1)
So what about yours you may include moves and abilities of course.

Alakazam, Gengar, Lapras, Mewtwo, Dragonite and Zapdos were my mains.

All level 100, all maxed out with the stat boosting items you get in that big department store I forget the name of.

I'd also got them with a pretty diverse move set, by borrowing a spare copy of the game from a friend, powering through to get the best TMs, then teaching them the moves I wanted. I gather that TMs are no longer single use in the newer games, which would have saved me a lot of time!

My teams end up being more of an all star cast than an actual functioning environment. Red team ended up being the one I would try to emulate most games:

Charizard, Gyrados, Raichu, Pidgeot, Golem, Gengar

All-star of their region I should say. Generally fire starter,

Ruby was Blaziken, Spheal, Cacturn, Bannet(?), Etc.

All level 100

Pikachu
Charizard
Gengar
Mewtwo (I swap out for Espeon when I want to be fair)
Vaporeon
Scizor

Genwunner basically.

My current Platinum team has probably been my favourite to use.

Crobat, Gengar, Steelix, Gyarados, Magmortar and Froslass.

Loved my Omega Ruby team too. (Ninjask, Machamp, Shiftry, Camerupt, Sharpedo, Walrein)

I'm ignoring any competitive team I built because I had so many lol.

If we're just talking in-game teams, then definitely my Pokemon X team.

Delphox, Blastoise, Salamence, Malamar, Goodra, Gardevoir

Here's my Pokemon Blue team from my recent playthrough:

Persian
Jolteon
Articuno
Victreebel
Dewgong
Rhydon

Don't underestimate Persian in Gen 1, yo.

I liked to have a mixed team so by base team would be Charizard, Gengar, vapourean, Alakazam, tyranitar and lucario. Will swap a greninja, nidoking or gardevoir if I'm in the mood of changing the team.

Not sure if my best team but definitely the most memorable.
Don't laugh at me because they're all gen 1.

1-Charizard
2-Jolteon
3-Nidoking
4-Dragonite
5-Golduck
6-Rhydon

My fondest memories are from my team in Pokemon Platinum:

1) Empoleon
2) Roserade
3) Togekiss
4) Garchomp
5) Drapion
6) Rotom

Too bad I had to left one behind to have one filled with HM (it was a Bidoof) but It was my most used team =3

My favorite competitive team was my mono-grass XY team. It performed really well in singles, despite being all grass.

Breloom
Ferrothorn
Venusaur (Mega)
Gourgeist
Rotom - Mow
Ludicolo

In original Pokemon Blue, it was:
Venosaur
Scyther (from trade)
Gengar
Alakazam
Gyarados
Zapdos

In Pokemon X, my current team is:
Greninja
Gengar
Blaziken
Tyrantrum
Arceus
Garchomp

Backup teammates for X: Aegislash, Venosaur, Lucario.

I almost got top 8 at Canadian Nationals a few years ago with a Gravity-Sandstorm team that was pretty nice. I can't for the life of me remember who was on it and honestly it was the first and last time I used the team.

X/Y Team

- Zapdos (Generation I)
- Espeon (Generation II)
- Mawile (Generation III)
- Garchomp (Generation IV)
- Volcarona (Generation V)
- Greninja (Generation VI)

All were bred (or caught outright) with near perfect IVs. I switched Mega between Mawile and Garchomp.

I had a cheated Mewtwo that I won a Boulder Badge with during a Pokemon mall tour in '99. That might've been my best "team."

Blaziken
Metagross
Salamence
Ampharos
Tyranitar
Latias

All Lv 100

Pokemon Emerald and Pokemon Omega Ruby

(and to a certain extent - Pokemon X)

Trick Room team in ORAS singles.

Slowbro
Aromatisse
Trevenant
Terrakion
Rotom-H
Mega Heracross

I just picked the guys I liked and it did surprisingly well. Really designed around fucking up the shitty Talonflame/Charizard/Aegislash online metagame during early Gen 6 that gave me so much salt initially.

RBY competitive team all the way:

Exeggutor
Starmie
Alakazam
Golem
Chansey
Tauros

Chansey was my favorite, since I came up with a unique moveset that worked awesome for online tournaments back in the day: Reflect, Counter, Ice Beam, Softboiled

Man, those were some good times.

Blastoise
Chandelure
Zebstrika
Scizor
Eelektross
Darmanitan

Always won with my friends (or at least there were funny battles) until they started to care about IV... I never did, so after they trained IV as they should, my team became the worst... even my zebstrika that was my fastest pokemon was slower... :(

From 1999 or so in Red, all max lvl with max stats etc:

Gengar
Starmie
Golem
Chansey
Persian
Dragonite

and a Tauros, Snorlax, Dragonite and Gyarados to swap in and out when needed.

Had a pro Silver team as well and after that I just stuck to battling on online simulators etc to avoid the tediousness and grind of leveling new mons.

Hard to tell since I've replayed the games so many times :V

The only team I've bothered to train to lvl 100 and used in multiplayer battles (against local friends) was my first Red & Blue team. The main reason for lvl 100 was that the first Pokemon Stadium didn't autoscale levels. I actually grinded my Raichu and Sandslash through the elite 4, but after that we discovered the item duplication trick so it went a whole lot faster.

So yeah, I guess my 'best' fully trained team was:

Raichu
Sandslash
Pidgeot
Haunter
Graveler
Meowth

... okay so the reason for the final three was that I nicknamed my Haunter 'Andross', and the name just COULDN'T work if he evolved, Graveler was because Golem looked dumb as shit and I refused, Meowth because I really liked him, way more than Persian.

Also turns out my best team sucked ass and got wrecked by everybody, but whatever they're still dear to me, damnit!

There's a theme with current team.

Tentacruel
Mamoswine
Shiftry
Dritblim
Galvantula
Tyrantrum

But from my first game Blue I ran with
Zapdos
Blastoise
Butterfree
Snorlax
Graveler
Nidoking

This is the team I used in the GAF tournament a few years ago. I always liked it.

Ingame or competetive? I'll pretend you meant competitive, in which case it was my Team for Pokémon Platinum:

Jolteon (Timid & Leftovers)
Substitute
Thunderbolt
Hidden Power (Ice)
Baton Pass

Heracross (Adamant & Choice Scarf)
Close Combat
Megahorn
Stone Edge
Night Slash

Mismagius (Timid & Leftovers)
Will-o-Wisp
Calm Mind
Shadow Ball
Hidden Power (Fighting or Steel, I can't remember)

Tyranitar (Jolly & Babiri Berry)
Dragon Dance
Earthquake
Crunch
Fire Punch

Empoleon (Calm & Leftovers)
Surf
Ice Beam
Grass Knot
Roar

Gliscor (Jolly & Life Orb)
Swords Dance
Stone Edge
Earthquake
Roost

This was at a time when Bullet Punch Scizor was omnipresent and people used it like a crutch. I would just play to manipulate a situation where I could safely switch Tyranitar in and sneak in a Dragon Dance while the opponent switched to Scizor. They would Bullet Punch which would normally OHKO, but I would survive due to the Babiri berry and take scizor Down with Fire Punch. Bonus points if they brought in Starmie afterwards, which would get torn apart by Crunch. The rest of the team would then just casually clean up whatever was left of the opposing team after Tyranitar got taken down. Empoleon was also built to survive any one hit from Salamence and KO back with Ice Beam.

Thinking back, The team was full of glaring, crippling holes. But I savoured every victory.

Weren't you the one that had that super annoying Raichu, or was that someone else?

Gah did I ever hate that thing.

I did use a Raichu in the last GAF tournament. This is the team I used in 2014. I basically used Raichu in place of Manectric so I could use other Megas. Mega Manectric doesn't really hold up in ORAS.

Pokemon Ruby:
Machamp lvl 100

Soloed elite four with him (cross chop and earthquake? carried me there) and was the first Pokemon I ever tried leveling to 100.

Don't play competitively.
