Your dream announcement from the Big Three

Playstation: Dark Cloud 3

Xbox: Viva Pinata (Insert random subtitle here)

Nintendo: A new Pokemon game in the same vein as Pokemon Colosseum and Gales of Darkness

Sony - No borderline scam paywall for online play

Microsoft - No borderline scam paywall for online play

Nintendo - Up to date hardware OR release their games on other platforms, ideally PC.

Actually I would love if Microsoft dropped the Live paywall just to see Sony being absolutely ridiculized again after the backwards compatibility for 360 thing. After the PS2 "emulation" fiasco I fear we're starting to see the return of the good old Market Leader Sony we all know and love.

Sony: Way too many options to think of. New Ape Escape would be awesome though, or Medieval!

Nintendo: "We understand we made many mistakes in the past, but as a show of good faith going forward into this new era of gaming we will be launching with a proper Paper Mario sequel. And Custom Robo will be a new F2P title to show off our commitment to online multiplayer. Thank you"

Microsoft: Banjo Three-ie *drops mic*

Sony: Don't even know why I'll bother at this point, but it would be sweet if they still somehow announced full disc and PSN BC for PS1, PS2, and PS3 games. But, yeah...

MS: Better Windows 10 support. All first party console games eventually come to PC as well.

Nintendo: Metroid Prime 4, and SNES/GBA VC for N3DS.

Nintendo getting out of hardware, everyone wins

Nintendo loses pretty hard in this scenario. There'd have to be massive layoffs and downsizing for Nintendo to support themselves as a software only company. They also make less money off of each game sold and lose a lot of control over their future. It could also hurt their company culture pretty bad, since their hardware and software development is currently intertwined.

The expectation that a software only Nintendo would be able to continue to operate more or less how they currently do is a bit unreasonable.

Microsoft: Conkers Bad Fur Day 2.

Sony: Colony Wars reboot. Set it a few centuries after the previous games, add VR support, fully customisable fighters, and a homebase mothership we can really feel like a part of the crew of.

Nintendo: A Metroid RPG. Let us take Samus on a more epic, galaxy spanning adventure with more planets, characters and enemies to really pad out the lore and bring the universe to life.

Microsoft: We bought Capcom.
It's cool, we're going to resurrect Megaman and give him his due and we're making SFV multiplatform like it should be.

Oh and here's a new Dead Rising...and we deleted all the Resident Evil lore you guys hate and only kept the good stuff.

Sony: Twisted Metal 2-2 Online Extra Thumper Edition

Nintendo: F-Zero with bonus Death Race 3000 mode that adds pedestrians to the track (tho I'd accept plain F-Zero)

Sony- Basically any return of Ape Escape, MediEvil, Jet Moto, PSABR, or CTR with some actual money behind them. Or really any "lost" PS1/PS2 IP..... I like Playstation games....

MS- Conker.....or more cartoony games ala Sunset Overdrive. SO really got me interested in buying an X1, just need a few more reasons to get one.

Nintendo- Just basically do what they were doing on WiiU with hardware and backend comparable to Sony and MS. Really Nintendo makes awesome games on hardware I dont want.

EDIT: If Sony bought Silent Hill franchise and made the Kojima game I would lose it.

Sony - We've purchased Castlevania and MGS IPs and Kojima has opened a first party dev studio.
MS - whatever.
Nintendo - We're going 3rd party and putting our games on every system imaginable.

Sony: Physical and digital PS1/2 backwards compatibility for PS4.
Microsoft: Nothing. Two years ago I would have wished for them to leave the console business, but competition is good. As long as they don't regain a larger market share, of course.
Nintendo: Strong new hardware. 3D capability and region-freedom for NX.

Sony - Folklore 2 on PS4.

Nintendo - F-Zero NX full HD 60 fps online multiplayer, F-Zero GX on 3DS with multiplayer still 60fps, Metroid Prime 4 and Metroid Dread announced, Custom Robo NX, Golden Sun NX, Fire Emblem 4 Remake on NX with the artstyle but not graphics of FE: PoR, Wave Race NX, Joy Mech Fight on their new handheld.

Microsoft - Will stop making xbox consoles and instead focus on PC gaming. (I'll probably get crucified for this one, but doesn't matter how much they try I don't care for the xbox, if they put their franchises on the pc I might care more). EDIT: None of this windows 10 store bullshit, I want it on steam or gog goddamnit.

Sony - It's difficult, they have so many golden IP just being left to rot, I'd love if Japan Studio made a JRPG... but probably what I'd actually love more is them getting Spyro and Crash, making a 3D platformer with Spyro and a Crash game like the first 3.

Nintendo - Baten Kaitos 3 probably? I'd love Galaxy 3 but I'd love to see their new take on 3D Mario even more.

MS - No idea, they don't have the history of the other two. Just throw Mistwalker some money to make Lost Odyssey 2.

This gen I have decided to only go with Sony and Nintendo consoles and I recently sold all my Wii U stuff so basically only Sony atm.

Sony: I think Demon's Souls is too similar in style to Dark Souls and because we already have DS3 coming out i'm gonna go with Bloodborne 2 or even better a Souls type game in an Indian or Feudal Japan setting.

If I had to choose something for the other two...

Xbone: Panzer Dragoon.....exactly like Orta but with heaps more depth and content.

Nintendo NX: A proper new Monster Hunter game that is not a port of a handheld version. This is the only game I can see that would make me buy the console.

Sony:
"I'd like to welcome to the stage, the new creative director of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Studio; Hideo Kojima!"
Kojima walks on stage proudly nodding his head and acknowledging the crowd, takes the microphone handed to him and declares: "SNATCHER 2" and walks off stage, roll trailer.

Nintendo:
"In an unprecedented creative collaboration with Capcom Japan, we'd like to announce Pokemonster Hunter coming exclusively to NX, holiday 2016"

Microsoft:
"Currently under combined development from Turn 10 and former Bizarre Creations creative leads, We present the exclusive reveal of Forza Endless. The first of it's kind, story driven, open world racing RPG coming to Windows 10 and Xbox One."

Microsoft - Nextbox with some kickass hardware and great launch games. Halo 6, PGR5, Banjo 3 and Minecraft 2.

Nintendo - NX that has decent hardware and a Mario 64 sequel at launch.

Sony - No idea. They are far too keen on the interactive movie / cinematic experience kind of game. I enjoy some of them but for me they offer very little in replay-ability. Their other games I find quite average with usually a better alternative available on another platform. I love a good 3D platformer and Jak 1 is probably my favourite Station game so I will go for a new one of those.

PC - Red Dead 3 exclusive!

Sony: Demon's Souls sequel
Nintendo: Done with hardware, going third party/multiplatform -- love most of their games but I'll likely never buy their hardware again
Microsoft: Actually committing to PC gaming

Sony: Jak 4 or the Ratchet & Jak crossover
Microsoft: Crackdown 3 on PC or Conker 2 + L&R Remastered
Nintendo: Mario Sunshine 2 or NX Pokemon MMO

Sony - We bought the IP and are making Xenogears HD, Christmas 2017. Battle system will remain the same.

Mega Man Legends 3 reannounced for PS4 (CONSOLE DEBUT of course).

God of War: Ragnorok annouced for Oct 16 release.

Mad Men Stories: TellTale game announced. Game takes place between Season 3 and 4.

MS- We have joined Sega and will become a strickly software only manufacturer/publisher as far as gaming goes.

Nintendo - Pokemon Nova for NX, Pokemon Stardust for new handheld. Every region and every Pokemon ever will be here, along with a new region and 50 Pokemon designed more like the original 151. Two different play modes. Play as descendants of Red. No more Mega Evolutions.

"We've finally destroyed all boundaries stopping us from enabling cross platform multiplayer across all platforms for multiplatform games."

Sony - GT7 will actually release in 2016
MS - new AAA IP
Ninty - out of direct comp w Sony and MS, will make multi platform games

Sony: Bloodborne 2
Microsoft: Ensemble Studios time-traveled back to life.
Nintendo: Going third party.

Sony: Crash Bandicoot and Spyro ip both now owned by Sony with new entires in the works consulted by Naugy Dog and Insomniac
Nintendo: True mainline 3D RPG Pokemon for consoles
Microsoft: Microsoft owned Japanese studio.

Sony:
"I'd like to welcome to the stage, the new creative director of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Studio; Hideo Kojima!"
Kojima walks on stage proudly nodding his head and acknowledging the crowd, takes the microphone handed to him and declares: "Fuck Konami. SNATCHER 2" and walks off stage, roll trailer."

FTFY

AFAIK, the plan is to make new Oddworld games after the next remake. Not exclusive to Sony but it's still new Oddworld nonetheless.

Oh, that's what I heard and I'm really looking forward to it, just getting antsy. Was talking with my buddy the other day about just how much has happened in gaming since Stranger's Wrath.

Anything to speed up the process basically.

Sony - PS1 era IP revivals

Nintendo - Pokemon MMO

Microsoft - Opens up a huge Japanese studio in the vein of Sony Japan Studio

sounds like a few people only want sony to exist, lol.

Sony: (most of the games i want are coming out for ps4)
Nintedo: earthbound
MS: Phantom dust

Nintendo - Super Mario RPG 2
Sony - Sony Japan created Final Fantasy killer
Microsoft - True Fantasy Live Online

Nintendo: All portable NX games are cross platform, so you can play all of them on the home console.

Microsoft: Agree with "actually committing to PC gaming."

Sony: Uh, disc backward compatibility for PS2 games? Can't think of anything really substantial.

Sony - Destruction Derby HD remake online
Microsoft - Not sure
Nintendo - Retro made console Zelda inspired by Zelda 2 and Nintendo Japan are working on the next official MLB and NHL games.
