Your Favorite Game That You Never Finished

My game is Drak Souls. I loved the world, art direction, music, lore, and especially the gameplay. When I got to Anor Londo and couldn't get by the sniper dudes, I eventually gave up and never came back. I tried going back recently, but my 360 disc drive broke. Sucks to be me, but I've moved on.

So what about you?

I'm a terrible person and most of my favorite games are ones I haven't beaten yet. Tops would have to be Dragon Quest 7, which is why the lack of a localized 3DS version pains me so greatly.

Fire Emblem: Awakening

Bought it March 2013 and made the mistake of playing classic mode along with losing too many good units far ahead of the game where grinding was almost impossible with the newer units.

Finally started a new game (on normal/casual) this past February and I'm currently finishing up the paralogues
before continuing to chapter 19.

First FE for me and I love it.

Morrowind.
I've finished the main quest, but never either of the expansions, nor 80-90% of the guild quests (IIRC i've finished Temple and Imperial Legion quest lines once, others not even close). And i have spent uncountable hours of playing the game.

Not sure if there are others.

Every single blue disk PS2 game I bought. My PS2 refused to play them and I really, really wanted to play Okage: Shadow King :(

Really? You'd consider Shrek Super Party to be amongst your favorite games? There were a lot of terrible blue disc games.

Edit: Sorry. Missed the "I bought" part.

Oblivion. Fantastic game that I played with two different characters, but I never got around to finishing the main quest line with either of them.

I have a few.

Resident Evil 4 comes to mind the most. Loved playing through that game...then I hit a massive snag and never went back to it.

Catherine as well, absolutely adored the story and the ideas it presented...then I remembered I had to play the game. If there was an ability to play the game automatically, I'd have taken it.

Ah, yes, Oblivion.
Another game i have played far longer than i can even guess. I have no idea if i can count myself as having finished it. Pretty sure i've done both the main game and both major expansions at least once, but not with the same character. Also haven't done most of the other quests, once again.

And this remind me of Fallout 3. Oddly, it may be the game i've gotten near to "completion", i've finished the main quest and all of the DLCs and quite a lot of the side quests..
Still have a lot to see in the game, a lot to do.

Fallout New Vegas as well. A great game... one i haven't gotten even near to completion. I get side-tracked every frigging time...

Also Skyrim, most content unfinished, i tend to do the same things over and over and then getting bored... though that's more due to flawed gameplay elements rather than the world and quests.

Dragon Quest VIII.

I probably didn't even come close to finishing it but I loved the art, music, characters and gameplay. I honestly think if I wasn't so young when that game came out (I was 10) I would have finished it and it would likely be in my top ten games.

Special mention to Final Fantasy XII for similar reasons.

Probably The Stick of Truth, which, as a long-time South Park fan, was a dream come true. I'd intended to finish it before the end of 2014, so I could (in good conscience) vote for it as my GOTY, but needless to say that didn't happen.

Easily Dark Souls. I stopped playing when I got to ornstein and smough. I just could not do it. I eventually just hacked NY save and gave myself unlimited souls but I don't count that as beating it. I need to go back to dark souls, especially after beating everything in dark souls 2 and enjoying the hell out of it. Maybe in a few more years...

Up until recently, it was Majora's Mask. I quite enjoyed the idea of leaving it incomplete. After all, I particularly enjoy the game's undertones of

Ori and the Blind Forest. I reach a part that required too much precession. It is a lovely game though. Just don't have time to master it.

Valkyria Chronicles

I only had 4 or 5 battles to go and I got distracted.
Never did get back to it. Maybe I'll pick it up again on steam and finish it out.

I thought we just had this thread like a few days ago, but Persona 3 because my PS2 died and I've been broke ever since so I couldn't afford to buy a digital version or a PS2 again.

GTA V. The game is fantastic and I wish my 10 yr old self could play it, but I'm kinda done with the whole causing mayhem and shit premise, played too much GTA in my life.

Half-Life. Bought it at release and plowed through it immediately. But once I reached that alien world... lost all interest in finishing and moved on. Astounding game up until that point though.

Every King's Bounty Game I own, and I buy them all. I don't think I've ever finished a single campaign with a single class before the next one came out and I moved on to that one instead.

I don't know if RTS & TBS campaigns count, but I've never finished any of them. I buy strategy games for skirmish maps, but that's it. I hardly ever dabble with the campaigns. I think the closest I've ever come to finishing a campaign were Warcraft 2 & 3. But even then, I tended to gravitate more towards skirmish maps.

Battletoads. Part of it's the obvious difficulty, but the other part is that I never actually owned it. I just rented it.

Mine is Dark Souls as well. Made it to the very final boss and my 360 bit the dust. this was right around the launch of the PS4, so I never saw any reason to go back.

Please get an HD rerelease :(

Okami. I absolutely love the game. First time I played it, the PS2 stopped working when I reached Kamui. Second time playing, absolutely hated the Wii controls and sold the game. Third time playing is my current playthrough, which I starter a few days ago. I am at Wep'keer, playing on PCSX2 and my 360 controller just decided to start dying on me. Can you believe that? Hopefully I get to finish Okami before the controller stops working altogether.

FF7. After 35 hours and a corrupt memory card, I just couldn't.

I played the entire way out of Midgar a few times. What a phenomenal intro.

EDIT - Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. What a delightful multiplayer game back in the day, nothing has ever come quite close to matching its gameplay. That last boss thought, screw grinding to beat that. It was just insanely difficult for me and my friends so we gave up.
