Your favorite Lunchables growing up?

The crackers with turkey and cheese was the best, but pizza and nachos were good, too. Fun(?) fact: the crackers one was my first solid meal after I had my tonsils taken out.

Pizza, easily.

I used to think the pizza Lunchable was so great, I once put together a pizza kit expecting it to be a larger version of the Lunchable. Boy, was I wrong.

When you finished the nachos you would dip your mini crunch bar in the rest of the cheese.

Nobody ever talks about the taco ones, and I haven't even seen one in years and years. All I remember was the very questionable and very oddly tasting "meat" packet. I assume they stopped making those because of that very thing.

Pizza was horribly bad and even as a kid I hated it, although I feel like I got that one the most often.

The best was the kielbasa or whatever.

hate to date myself but in my day Lunchables were just crackers and crappy meat slices

it was god awful but on par with the grade school lunch experience so i never questioned it

OP YES.

I loved the small desert ones.

They were like a dollar, but my mom rarely ever got them for me.

Pizza of course! I was very meticulous in how much sauce and how much cheese to put on each pizza.

I also ate a lot of the shake ups, where you put the nuggets and powder in a bag and shake the hell out of it.

OK, I'm gonna pick up a pizza one this weekend and try it. I hated it as a kid, but it's getting too much love in this thread. I'll see if things changed since I was 10.

I loved the cracker ones in general (except for maybe the bologna).

Pizza was fine. I liked the cheese pizza more than the pep.

Part of what made the pizza ones enjoyable was the prepping of the pizza, tring to get the sauce and cheese as even as possible between them.

Deep dish pizza, without a doubt. Doughy as all hell, loaded with cheese, and so unhealthy they had to cut the portion size in half just to stay on store shelves. Got one every time I went on a field trip, and it was the highlight of my afternoon.

I had one recently. It was basically inedible.

Make your own pizza, of course. Though as I got older I started to notice this weird metallic taste in the tomato sauce so I stopped eating them lol.

I see someone had parents that loved them.

I only got Lunchables if I stayed at a friend's house one night and their mom gave them to us for lunch the next day.

My dad made really good sandwiches and packed me a good lunch with some chips or cheetos and a piece of fruit every day. Lunchables may have been a status symbol, but if we're being honest they were shitty crackers and cold cuts with a juice box.

The pizza.

My mom never got me lunchables though. And I asked why and she said "because I love you"

Only the true OGs know about Lunchables Deluxe:

Ham + Turkey + Swiss + Cheddar + 2 kinds of crackers + Herb Mustard. A lunch fit for a king.

I still have a soft spot for the original Bologna too.

Bologna sandwiches for sure. I would eat that shit right now if it were in front of me.

Pizza is a VERY close second but I don't think I'd wanna eat it ever again.

Literally ANY one of them that isn't the Stackers Lunchable (the one with crackers, meat and cheese, all cut into identically sized circles). That shit was so gross, kids would throw the cheese at each other and try to get it to stick to the walls. All I can remember when thinking about that one is cheese covered in dirt.

The original Lunchables taco was the nastiest shit ever

Pizza changed the game when it came out

Really? They've been around since 1990. Not trying to call you guys old.

Oh don't worry, I was being tongue-in-cheek. :)

I was born in 1977, which put me in the 7th grade in 1990. So I kinda guess it depends on what age range you call "kid." I think of "kid" as "pre-pubescent" which definitely was not me in 7th grade.

My favorite Lunchable is pretty boring: ritz crackers + sliced cheddar + ham slices.

Stackers were top tier.

Some times I'd just take the fucking cheese as an entire block and eat it hehehehe felt like a real fuckin rebel.

CALL THE FUCKIN COPS

My personal experiences about school lunches were alright because I remember them being pretty decent, and I lived in a really poor neighbourhood where the lunches were subsidized.

Favourite thing on the school menu were the sloppy joes and the very rare occasions where they serve ice cream in a yogurt cup.

Damn this thread made me sad all of a sudden lol. Grew up poor and always wanted a lunchable when I was a kid but never got one. Next time I go grocery shopping I'm getting myself one haha.

The right answer.
Amen.

Yuuup. I only ever got em if I was going to a field trip and even then. lol. I ate that free cafeteria food everyday.

They're like 1 dollar at supermarket (I think) for the simple package ones without candy or juice so I'm gonna buy a couple next time I go.

There was one with different kinds of turkey, two types of cheese, and round crackers. I loved that so much.

Pizza. I originally would warm them up but then eventually would eat them without warming them up. It was so much fun. I think I stopped eating them when I got to middle school.
