Firefox - My browser of choice.

Adobe After Effects - Boot it up almost everyday, usually just to mess around and edit video which I enjoy, and also making clips which will be eventually be turned into gifs.

Adobe Photoshop - Gifs.

VLC - Use it everytime I'm watching a sports stream, the record button is a godsend and allows me to go back if I missed anything.

Fraps - Use it to capture moments during live streams, I basically have it open all the time.

Windows Task Manager - Always have it open, my laptop has been slowly dying the last year or so which causes errors, freezing, overheating and all sorts of problems. Usually the desktop and programs running freeze, but I can still use task manager, so I'm able to end the troublesome process quickly and get the laptop running again.

Oh right, torrent clients. I run rTorrent with the ruTorrent web UI on my server. So I can access it from anywhere over the internet should I want to. I don't use it much though.

I'll suggest Tixati it is what utorrent should have been. Functions that are useful instead of ads.

It creates a visual representation of your hard drive, to show you where the biggest files are.

EXTREMELY useful for cleaning your hard drive when you're running low on space.

WizMouse is running fine on Windows 8, you don't need an alternative.

Never got a problem so far. It may be incompatible with Metro apps but nothing is compatible with them.

GoldWave audio editor. I've spent so many hours editing sound files with it. It's pretty good.

Found Rufus yesterday after a friend suggested it to me it, I Love it!

Rufus is a small utility that helps format and create bootable USB flash drives, such as USB keys/pendrives, memory sticks, etc.

It can be especially useful for cases where:

you need to create USB installation media from bootable ISOs (Windows, Linux, EFI, etc.)
you need to work on a system that doesn't have an OS installed
you need to flash a BIOS or other firmware from DOS
you want to run a low-level utility
Despite its small size, Rufus provides everything you need!

Probably my most used program is a simple text editor called EditPad. Which isn't so simple anymore, and the author now charges $50 for it. But it started off as a very simple notepad replacement, I still use version 3.4 from 1999

Try Textpad. Its free and way better imo.
