This first level.

Ya not an intro video but man was this epic

The intro to Kingdom Hearts.

Beautiful cinematic, great music and it really does a great job of letting you know that you're in for a strange experience that is unlike anything else you've played before.

Honorable mention to Final Fantasy VIII.

Fatal Fury 2 intro, it's so wonderfully corny and "... legendary men return" is private joke for me and a buddy.

Super Contra intro is also a favorite and a fond memory. I have a thing for scrolling red text I guess?

I know many of you don't like sports, but this one is one that stuck forever.

It's sad now they turned it into F2P. It was great back then.

PS1 : FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, MGS1
PS2: FFX, KH, MGS2, GTA SA, HACK infection
PS3: Dragon Age Origins, Dragon Age 2.
PS4: FFVII R, Cyberpunk 2077, Yakuza 7

DA:O best opening scene ever (magi human)

Playing that fade opening told me that this was going to be wild.

Most memorable and iconic ones for me would be FF7 and FF8. Also liked the Metal Gear Solid 1 and Tekken 3 intros. That really was such a golden era.

Sorry but any answer other than Half-life is just wrong. That intro was just nuts that you basically see all the areas you visit later during the game.

Honorable mention: Super Mario 64. If you grew up with Commodore 64 and later NES and Super NES, you couldn't believe what you are seeing.

Too many to name but I'll go with MGS3

"This is one for the history books, the world's first HALO jump"

I was so hyped to be playing Kojima's latest, to be back in that world, felt like I literally *was* performing the world's first HALO jump lol

Was going to post this, but you beat me to it,

Was nothing really like it at the time
