Your favorite rhythm game(s)?

I generally love all the rhythm games I've played so far except for Elite Beat Agents, I don't know why but I just can't get into that game.
I do love the Project Diva series, Project Mirai, Taiko no Tatsujin series, Rhythm Tengoku, Theatrhythm series and I'm looking forward to IA/VT.
Feels like I'm forgetting one lol.

Edit: Forgot about Persona 4: Dancing all night, I'm looking forward to that one also.

So good. Shame it never got a sequel

EBA was the last time I felt I was truly amazing at a rhythm game. Unlocking the Divas and the Commander was quite the accomplishment!

I love DJMAX, but I'm having so much trouble getting out of 4B mode. It felt right at home after Rock Band Unplugged (Amazing sequel to frequency/amplitude) but moving on is throwing my brain for a loop.

DDR has a special place in my heart. Started about 12 years ago here in NYC.

Amplitude. Beautiful gameplay, awesome soundtrack. The PS4 version is a day 1 purchase!

There are many rhythm games I enjoy playing but these are my top 2.

Rock Band (pro drums)

If we're including games where rhythm is a driving force behind gameplay:

140
Sound Shapes
Everyday Shooter
Fract OSC

Thumper looks like it will join that list.

The king.

Beatmania IIDX.
Never one to make first reply comments, but this right here. Just played IIDX today for several hours on a privately owned arcade cabinet.

Also, Osu is a terrible game with a terrible weaboo community. I loved the Ouendan games, but Osu makes a mockery of those originals.

All of them! Haven't played one I didn't like.

Space Channel 5 (personal fave)
Elite Beat Agents
Child of Eden
Sound Shapes
Rock Band
DJ Hero
Samba de Amigo

Ok I may stir up a bit of controversy here. Let me preface this by saying I'm a DDR, Rock Band and EBA vet who has pretty much perfected all three games.

So... I can't stand how "off" Theatrhythm's timing is. It's not that they're choosing odd beats to hit or something, it's that almost every song's basic timing requires you to hit the notes from a few milliseconds to a quarter of a second early to get a perfect hit. It is ridiculous to me that a rhythm game can't even get its core mechanic right. I put in over 150 hours on both Theatrhythm games regardless, and dealt with having to hit things early, but I just cannot get over how off it is. And as such, cannot recommend it to anyone. It's SO disappointing considering how much I love FF music and rhythm games.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. Keep them coming!

on a side note I've downloaded osu! and am already hooked to the osumania mode. Not sure if I like the standard mode with a mouse for control, but osumania is super fun. I'm trying to use my fightstick's buttons as opposed to a keyboard to control it, works well for the smaller 4- and 5-lane beatmaps =P
