Your favourite Multi-Player Online Map

DM - Morpheus
Unreal Tournament 99

This map is godly. The flow of jump from one rooftop to the next. Jumping from a lower floor of one tower to the top floor of another. Leaving yourself exposed as you hug the wall trying to get the redeemer.

Deathmatch bliss.

Sadly, the newer games broke it. Double jumping ruined this map.

So there's a Tribes 2 map that I remember loving but the name of it has totally escaped me. It's snowy and symmetrical. The 2 bases are at ground level and surrounded by mountains. There's a valley that connects the two that tanks and whatnot can use.

The actual bases look like two small buildings with the flag stand in between them. There's a decently sized area inside the bases that extends underground. There's a vehicle station next to the bases. Up in the mountains each team has a fairly large tower thing shaped like a cross.

What was this map called? Anyone?

Edit: I found it!

My favorite maps from their respective games. I have a limited MP career.

I never bought the game but I really enjoyed Arica Harbor from the Bad Company 2 beta.

cs_assault from CS 1.6 because I used to dominate that map and also has my favorite kill - sniping a guy thru a smokescreen with the scout because I predicted exactly where he was going to go.

For me it's a toss up between two Halo:CE maps : Blood Gulch and Boarding Action.

While Blood Gulch is an obvious choice, I really loved Boarding Action as it was arguably one of the greatest sniper maps ever. Used to play the hell out of it back in System Link days...

Edit, realised that isn't an online game. As online maps go I'd have to go with Crash from CoD 4 or Badwater Basin from TF2.

Hunting Lodge on Ghost Recon:Island Thunder for the xbox. In recent years I've cooled off multiplayer versus games but I played that game and map for HOURS.

Fuck dust2 and all of you dickriders that support it.

Fuck it up its ass.
this

its why i quit playing cs, every fucking server is dust2 24/7

anyway. CS_MILITIA WOOO. And every warhawk map

My fav map? That's really hard to pick, I can easily say which IP it's from though, SOCOM. They have some of the greatest designed maps ever implemented in a shooter. By far it's quality of maps blows away every other shooter out there, easily. It's just too hard to pick... Probably any map from SOCOM outside of Shadow Falls? But man, Abandoned, Desert Glory, Xroads, Frostfire, Night Stalker, Blizzard, Ruins, Rats Nest, Fish Hook, Fox Hunt, Vigilance, Sujo, Citadel, Enowapi... You can just go on and on.

Salamun Market in Killzone 2 was great.

It's a big map that's great for the objective based gameplay of Warzone mode and it puts all the classes to use. I always enjoyed long Warzone matches on this map.

Great map for Raid. Plenty of different areas to fight in and use different strategies, wide open outside to glide and shoot long range, and close and compact inside for more intense close range fights. Great teleport lines and 5 or so levels to fight in, including a basement.

Glad someone else posted this. Such a good level. I'll always stay on for one more match if Power Station comes up.

Same as OP. Salamun Market (KZ2 version. KZ3 version is turrible, well maybe not turrible, but not great).

There are plenty of servers that play a variety of maps. Dust2 just to happens to be an easy and incredibly balanced map. Other honorable mentions would be: Inferno, Nuke, and Mill.

Everyone who picks Assault is a dirty Terrorist camper. Assault is probably the least balanced map in the game. For cs_ maps, Militia is one of the best.

De_Aztec. I have very fond memories of this map. It's an adrenaline rush when both teams are aggressive and it's the first CS map I played.

Wow, brings back memories.

Does anyone remember the revolutionary Infiltration mod for Unreal Tournament 1? That had some incredible maps too. I miss those days! The mod-scene was incredible back then.
