Your favourite Sega, Nintendo, Playstation and Xbox controllers?

Sega - 3 button genesis
Nintendo - Wii classic (not the pro). It's perfect during MK8 and XC.
Sony - DS3 cuz it's a wireless version of DS2.
Microsoft - S controller. It still confuses me with all of the buttons. And I love it.

Sony - DualShock 4
Nintendo - GameCube or Wii U Pro, I like both for different reasons
Xbox - Xbox 360 (although not really a fan of that one either)
Sega - Genesis/Mega Drive

Sega: The Japanese/ Ver. 2 American + European Saturn controller. It just feels right. Now sure, it's not really meant for 3D gaming, but both of Sega's 3D controllers have got too much wrong with them for me to put them above the standard Saturn pad.

Nintendo: It's a tie between the GameCube controller and the Wii U GamePad. Keep in mind that I haven't had the chance to really play with a Wii U Pro Controller yet.

Sony: Since there's almost no difference between their controllers (apart from the DS4 which I haven't been able to play with extensivley yet, and I ain't gonna judge it from just fumbling with it at a store), it doesn't really matter. I'll probably give the edge to the DS3 because of the triggers being triggers instead of just buttons like before. And maybe the better rumble function, but honestly, I can't tell you wether it's really better or not. Oh, and it's wireless, obviously.

Microsoft: The ones I've used have all been shit (Xbox S Controller and Xbox 360 OG Wireless). The D-Pads are horrid, and I always get sweaty hands after a few minutes of using either of them. I swear that this only happens with those two. No idea why. I will admit though that the 360 controller is better than the OG Xbox one, and from what I've tried out so far, the Xbox One controller would probably be the best of the 3. I also want to try out the Duke controller, maybe I'll buy one as the secondary controller for my Xbox.

Sega: it's been too long to give an opinion that has any real value, but I liked the Mega Drive 3 and 6 button controllers when I was a kid. It certainly isn't going to be the Master System or Dreamcast, and I probably only used a Saturn controller a couple of times.

Nintendo: Wii U Pro. Easy choice. I've become so used to it that when I recently got a 360 controller for PC use, I found myself pressing the wrong buttons. Not because of the letter layout, but the physical layout. The GameCube and SNES are also great, but the Wii U Pro is close to perfection.

Sony: Until 4 they didn't really change much, but although I like it being wireless, the triggers on 3 are a menace even with the real trigger attachments. The answer has to be 2.

Microsoft: 360. I don't know if they even fixed the d-pad slightly, but I haven't found it that bad for menu navigation. We'll find out if that changes when I start playing Souls games or anything 2D. The only other Xbox controller I used was the original one, and boy that was shit.

Sega : Dreamcast - Age Tech Joystick (arcade control perfection)

Nintendo : Gamecube - Starndard Controller (sold and precise)

Sony : Playstation - G-Con45 (best lightgun ever made)

Microsoft : Xbox 360 - 360 controller (haven't tried xb1 but this set the standard for pc pads as well)

Sega - I guess it's the Dreamcast one. I don't really remember the earlier ones too well but this one felt really good. Seem to remember it having a nice dpad (and it looks pretty damn cool).

Nintendo - I have to pick one, you say? I absolutely love the SNES, Gamecube and Wii U Pro controllers but in the end it has to go to the Gamecube (wired or wave bird, they're both amazing). Best controller ever made IMO.

Sony - Dualshock 3. The first three consoles felt like small improvements on a pretty flawless design. I've never had a problem with the triggers on the DS3 like many others so it gets my vote. The build quality of the DS4 I feel is a bit too lacking to win, I have two and one is a bit 'loose' and the other is losing the grip on the sticks.

Microsoft - Even though it's probably not a popular opinion I really liked The Duke. The size and weight to it was actually pretty comfy to me. I wish I could get one of these to play PC games with instead of my 360 controller.

I'm surprised at all the love for the Dreamcast stock controller. It was actually one of my least favorite Sega pads, I would rank the Saturn 3D control pad higher. Though I would have to give it to the Sega Saturn Japanese model six button pad would have to be my favorite of the bunch.

Nintendo controllers: I dunno... I never really liked the Gamecube pad either. I guess for me it would either be the Wii classic controller or the SNES pad. I have never used the Wii-U Pro or the Wii control pad.

Xbox controllers: Uhh... I actually kind of liked the original duke, to be honest. But I guess I would have to give it to the 360 pad. I haven;t used the Xbox One pad yet.

PlayStation controllers: The DS2, I suppose. I never liked the triggers on the DS3 and I have not used the DS4 yet.

SEGA -> Saturn
One of the best controllers for 2D gaming.

Nintendo -> Classic Controller Pro
The GameCube controller had huge potential but it was hindered by silly design choices imo.

Sony -> Dual Shock 4
It's the best version of the Dual Shock design and a good improvement over the mediocrity of DS3.

Microsoft -> XBOX 360
Best controller ever imo (I haven't tried the XB1 controller yet, though).

So after having used the Wii U Pro Controller these past few days I must say I'm really in love with it. I really liked it before - except maybe the fact B and Y can be a bit hard to reach - but now it's love. It fits my hand perfectly and becomes one with it, essentially. The buttons feel great and for once there is a controller with shoulder buttons that aren't a pain to switch between!

I'm currently sitting with an Xbox 360 controller in my hand and it's what made me realize my love for the Pro Controller. The 360 controller is noticably heavy and along with a battery pack making your grip a tight fit, it just doesn't feel as good - it even becomes distracting for the experience at times.

Long love the Wii U Pro Controller \o/

Haven't played with a Sega controller

Nintendo: Wii U Pro controller. Gamecube has the best shape and face button layout, but everything else about it leaves a lot to be desired. Lack of a real second analog stick, weird triggers, one shoulder button, no select button, absolutely awful dpad. If they can bring back the general shape and the face button layout but change literally everything else, it would be the gold standard

Playstation: Haven't messed with a DualShock 4 yet, so just the DS3.

Microsoft: I do think that the Xbox One controller outclasses the Xbox 360 controller, which surprises me. The bumpers don't bug me and I love the feedback in the triggers, it feels great

Nooooooooooo
