Yeah I was stuck on this as well I actually got the throphy when I replayed it I was shocked but the first time I played it on the ps2 I almost went nuts.

NBA Jam on the PSOne: the CPU would beat you so badly that it would actually sit down on the court--Indian Style, BTW--and let you catch up a bit before continuing the beatings. Seriously.

I remember chucking the disc, which took a roughly centimeter-deep chip out of the side of the disc, but it still friggin' played. Damned game was out to get me.

Yes, I believe we could've done fine without all the huge pics.

For me, DAO had me saying "fuck it" about 3 or 4 hours in. I was running around some castle with my crew and I remember some of the battles being ridiculously easy and then some that took four or five tries. Add that to the crappy melee controls and you've got yourself a pretty frustrating game. Maybe I'm just impatient.
 
The first Naruto game by UbiSoft. It had been buggy the entirety of my gameplaying experience but while running through Konoha , I was jumping from building to building and just fell through the map. Naruto was in a free fall for about 5 minutes when I decided to turn it off while saying, "Fuck this shit!"


While playing Gears of War 2 online and I was chainsawed by someone who was in front of me with their back to me. "Fuuuuuuck that shit!"

In the codebreaker/game genie days of PS2, playing Socom online and seeing a guy flying through the air and firing nonstop. *yanked the power/flung controller* "Fuck that shit!":lol
 
The last level of Zach and Wiki where you had to do swordfighting. I still think it's actually impossible because the controls refuse to work correctly.
 
Was having a hell of a time on Prehistorik Man's second boss, and after about 2-3 hours decided to look up an FAQ online to see if there was some strategy I was missing.

Didnt find anything on that boss, but saw the final boss takes 45 hits.

Spring Mario in Mario galaxy 2 where you have to chop rolling coming over and over. Fuck That Shit really. It is headache to clear that shit . I lost about 34 life before I clear the stage on that just one part where they are rolling constantly.

A couple of the Spec Ops missions in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

And there's so many more that I'm just going to stop there to prevent future frustration.

Edit: Oh, and the FUCKING CHALLENGES OF OLYMPUS IN ALL GOW GAMES.

if its any consolation, leveling up doesnt really get you the kinda strength & HP you need, as i recall. there's a great tutorial about a little materia grinding that gets you where you need to be to comfortably beat the game. still not an ideal system, i know.
and yes i hated fucking everyone reciting Loveless but damn if Zach wasnt more compelling that Cloud ever was

yeah, the other dudes already said it - do not play this game without installs, seriously.
you need to grind a bit, and that's not a bad spot for it. but yeah, i agree that the save point location was at times too fucking far for my tastes - i seriously had 1 or 2 spots in the game that took me nearly 2 hours to reach the next point, likely cause of puzzles. enjoyed the game though, largely due to dream sequences.

Dragon Age: Awakenings: Let's cheapen the storyline by making the Joining seems so insignificant! Let's create the same character archetypes like before but more lame! Oh yes, don't forget about all the glitches too! And while we're at it, lets sell this at full price! Fuck this shit.

Oh, and Oblivion: free to do whatever you want! But with glitches! And oh, don't pick major skills this or minor skills that! And if you don't do level up the correct way, the game is going to be very difficult! Fuck that.

Also, for some reason Mass Effect 2 pisses me off. The AI, mostly, but also the fact that the choices you made in the 1st game barely had any effect to the sequel... if any. Fuck, even the human ambassador choice didn't really carry over. I hated it when they say 'decision matters', 'decision matters', but in the end all you have is just illusion of choice and nothing more... not really a fuck this shit moment, though...
 
Every time the Russian Winter arrives in any WWII Grand Strategy Game...

i just had a "fuck this game" moment.

I am playing Fallout 3 for the first time, and im finding it to be more aggrevating than fun. but the moment that had me call it quits was when i was in Rivet City. i saw a Psycho Pack on someone's desk, and i took it. suddenly the entire base wants to shoot me. i have no stim packs on me and my health is near empty. i cant escape, i cant start over because of the "auto save." i have had it with this game.

Eternal Sonata, playing for hours a game I wasn't enjoying hoping to reach a better part of the game. Then my characters are switched in a boat with pirates and I have to grind to level them. In addition to that, the savegame dissappears. Fuck this shit.
 
Alright, yesterday I experienced my first true "fuck this fucking shit, piece of fucking shit fucking game" moment.

I tried to attempt the Dash Circuit in 3D Dot Game Heroes, the Monaca Circuit.

Pfft, the energy cells were fine. If you explored at least a little bit in the game, you would have nearly had them all by the time you actually started searching for them. Besides, you don't need them all to progress anyway.
 
Being given the 3rd pearl, QTE hand holding combat system, having to play some dumb song everytime I want to change my direction, going back and forth to trade in pictures for figurines, and the Triforce quest in TWW.
Fuck that shit!

I had five out of the 7 by the time I actually needed them, but I was under the assumption that I needed them all.

I wish I had done the same thing. Unfortunately I got up to the boss fight before you open up Pulse before I realized what a terrible time I was having.

I think I just really enjoyed the music.

I hate to break this to you pal, but you don't level up randomly in CC. There's an invisible exp bar that keeps track of your exp, you get 777 when it maxes out :)

about the 800th time I got killed because I missed something slightly and the game's Sonic 3d-tier shitty game design I was ready to quit, especially when I got to the point where you run along top of a moving subway train and I realized they made this part of the game not fun at all.

wasn't even worth the $5 I paid for it on steam. terrible game, and along with Black, it's proof that DICE should just stick to battlefield games.

There's 9, but you only need 6 or 7. Getting them all allows you to explore the Valhalla more thoroughly and get 100%.

You also get hints in the Valhalla as to the locations of them all.

It's a much, much easier process than the bullshit fetch quest in Echoes. Now that is a "fuck this shit" moment, though I still loved the game all the same.
 
The very first area in Resident Evil 5. I died a few times because of Chris' tank-like controls and inability to see anything around him, and promptly shelved it. It is awful.

So you mean playing the game wrong leads to "fuck this shit"? Because as a (spiritual) successor of the Baldur's Gate series that is the way the game is meant to be played.

I made the same mistake with Baldur's Gate when it came out. Played it all the time like a real time strategy or real time tactics game. When I started over and used pause it was a totally different experience - an awesome experience.
 
I just dumped Wind Waker after attempting a 2nd run of the game.

FUCK THAT SHIT. The stealth part at the beginning made me yawn twice, then when you get the sail I started to get desperate and impatient after traveling several minutes before reaching the volcano island. And when I just realized that I beat the first dungeon (Dragon Roost Cavern) in less than 40 minutes without feeling the slightest bit of satisfaction I decided to give up.

I seriously can't believe I finished it once back then, but one thing I do remember clearly is how much I fucking hated sailing/wasting time doing absolutely nothing but watching blue everywhere.

Again, fuck that rushed game, it sucks so much.
 
I had read about Ostrava disappearing in Demon's souls on some gaming forums so I spent the entire game making sure I didn't do anything that would make that happen so I could get the item upon completing the subquest.

I raged really hard when I went through all that effort and it turned out he didn't appear where he was supposed to at the end even though I did everything right.
