Oh boy. First sentence. "A post on Reddit".

1. They started out with the skimpiest burrito I have ever seen in over 100 visits.
2. Their calculation left out the actual tortilla for the burrito in the final "Burrito vs Burrito Bowl" comparison.
3. They measured weight, not calories.

Anyone who has gone to Chipotle and gotten a Bowl vs a Burrito knows that you absolutely do get more rice with a Bowl, but that's it. Everything else is almost exactly the same.

Personally, I don't mind getting extra brown rice.

It is not rocket science to do a calorie test. Show me a link where they lab-test the calories and conclude Bowls are 50-80% more calories than what's listed.

*shrug*

Do what you want. I'm sure if there was a fast food place owned by the KKK, plenty of people would have an excuse for going there.

Of course they would. No amount of headshakes or tsk tsks or wagging fingers would stop anyone from going.

In the end, they'll do what they want, and as you said, I'll do what I want. Eventually, I'll get my comeuppance, as will they.

Do we not count rice? And yes, amount of food is measured in grams and weight. That's how you do it. That's how your supermarket does it. That's even how many calorie calculators are done.

And no, everything else in a burrito varies by how full it looks to the employee as they are all conscious of it still having to fit in once they try and roll it. Bowls can be fill haphazardly with oversized scoops. Only reason I ever searched about the varying amounts given was because I noticed in personal experience that I got noticeably more food (not just rice) on my bowls.

Does Panera count as fast food? I eat there (actually, get it to go) several times per week because I'm too lazy to make my own sandwiches. If Panera doesn't count, then Chick Fil-A because I'm too lazy to raise my own chickens.

Yes. Panera is what is called Fast Casual, along with Chipotle and Five Guys.

Jack in the Box tacos are my greasy, greasy dirty shameful secret.

I usually stop in on the way home from grocery shopping so I don't have to actually cook that night, and they're dirt cheap.
4 tacos for 2 bucks!

It's still only like a once a month thing, though.

Show me where anyone said 50-80% more calories first

Taco Bell and In N Out, both are very cheap (Bell especially) and since I don't eat fast food often I just want a quick fix which a taco/burrito or hamburger can do.

KFC/Taco Bell

Even though there's probably somewhere else that has better chicken, there's nothing really in my town that has better fried chicken than KFC. I just really like having chicken that's nicely seasoned and not super salty. Oh, and it's also up the road from my house so it's close which is nice.

It was the Sbarros at one of the local malls because I like cheap pizza and went to the mall often, but they closed.

Now it's probably Wendy's because I like the Frostys their fries are OK, and It's only like a mile away from where I live. Only go maybe once or twice a month though since I really don't like much else.

No, we do not measure things in grams and weight. We measure food in calories.

I have never, in my life, heard people arguing over the weight in grams of one Taco Bell item vs another.

Again, lab-testing for calories is not rocket science. You can do it in any city in America. Show me a link where they lab-tested Bowls vs Burritos and found 50-80% more calories vs each other, or vs the website listing.

And yes, we do count rice, but rice has an extremely high moisture content and low weight vs calories. So it adds a lot of weight, but not nearly as much calories as, say, 50-80% more sour cream, cheese, guac, or meat.

Wingstop is tasty as fuck. I don't know what they put in their food, it tastes very good. I always order the same thing.

Ever since I was a wee lad, mild wings has been my favorite. And the fries, THE FRIES.

If I had a top 5 list of fries from restaurants, theirs would be number one. They're sweet, but not too sweet, they're salty, but not too salty. It's the perfect balance, and the potato skin on them adds to the flavor.

The combination of the meat, being dipped into the ranch sauce, and the fries as well, it gives me a feeling that I can't get from any other food that I've ever eaten.

15 bone-in wings, all mild, with a side of fries, and two sides of ranch, with a large lemonade.

I used to go every Friday night, it was ritualistic. I don't go anymore, but that routine lasted for almost a year.

Are you in advertising? Made me google the damn place, closest one is like 35 mins from me and seriously considering going tomorrow. Never been to one before, usually have shit tier wings from Domino's. May have to upgrade based on your post.

Raising Canes.

Probably 2-3 times a month. Usually a Friday thing with my son (he loves their Texas toast).

I go because it's good. Box Combo every time.

And yes, we do count rice, but rice has the highest moisture content of any of their solid items (ie: not salsa). So it adds a lot of weight, but not nearly as much calories as, say, 50-80% more sour cream or cheese.
literally the first measurement in the Chipotle official calculator is the portion in ounces, listed before the calories

A bodybuilder weighs his food on a scale. Of course you consider grams, weights, etc. You use it to calculate the nutrition. They are inherently linked. Doesn't matter how many anecdotes you want to throw out there like saying the links have the smallest burrito you have seen or that you haven't heard weight discussed.

All I said before was that they give more food in bowls than in burritos and you jumped all on some calorie highway without basis and decided to pretend more food doesn't matter but the whole point is that their calculator can't be accurate for at least either bowls or for burritos, and that's a fact

Taco Bell, because it's cheap, unhealthy, occasionally disgusting, and fucking delicious.

Chipotle, because it's cheap, semi-nutritious, and okay for a poor college kid.

Raising Cane's

The Popeyes I go to is right across from Raising Cane's. I'll go to Cane's about once every other month - to buy a pint of Cane's sauce. I put Cane's sauce on soooo many things at home. Sandwiches, baked potatoes, other fast food, pizza crust, etc..

I go to this lady that has a hole in the wall shop making chicken burgers and shouzhua bing (Taiwan wrap thing). I usually hit her up once a week cuz it's delicious and cheap and right outside my front door. Cost like 1.50 to get a shouzhua bing and less than 5 minutes to walk there and get the food.

McDonald's. Specifically, a McDouble and medium fries. Why? Because it's cheap as dirt. If I'm going to buy fast food, it's gotta be cheap.

In-N-Out

About 3-4 times a month (I rarely ever eat out, let alone fast food in a given month).

Proximity is about 5 minutes away from the Bart station, so I head there when I'm craving a cheeseburger for dinner.

I keep going back because of well done fries and animal-style cheeseburgers.

Chipotle. I go there about once every two weeks. It's the tastiest and most enjoyable way to get a 1300 calorie meal with lots of nutrients and without having to cook. I've thought about incorporating it into my regular diet and getting a bowl after every workout, but for now I need to consume asparagus and yogurt for my gut flora and having all 3 things in the same day plus my preworwout meal is too many calories. Also I'm shy and don't want the service guys there to be able recognize me from going too frequently

Small place out of town, once in 2-3 months.
Almost decent burgers etc. (Bettter than the crap in donalds, hessburger etc.)

Probably In-n-out. Maybe once or twice a month?

Oddly there is a vast food quality gap between both the Jack in the Box and Mcdonald's near my work vs near my house. Very noticeable.

McDonald's: That damn Egg and Cheese (No Meat) Mcmuffin with the round egg instead of folded.

Chic-Fil-A: Doesn't need explanation

I guess McDonald's. Never in the mood for Taco Bell or wendey's and it's open 24/7.

Zaxby's may be me #1 tho now. Grilled chicken sandwhich is so good.

I don't really eat much fast food anymore, but every now and then I'll get Wendy's. Their fries are solid and the burgers are awesome.

Haven't had it in forever though. Probably for the best, haha.

I really like Indian food so it's Chicken Madras time at least three times a month. Can't tell you a certain fast food chain though.

New York Fries.

Their poutine is actually surprisingly decent. Not authentic, but still good in its own way. Love it. Their pulled pork poutine is also good, too.

I only eat fast food like a dozen times a year or less but Taco Bell is the one I go to the most.

I just like their 5-layer burritos.

KFC

Once a week maybe?

Dunked Wings are the shit. 4 wings and a burger is like $3.20 here. When im lazy its such an easy meal

dunked-wings-4-main_2_meal_main_image_meal_main_image_meal_main_image.jpg

Whataburger. The burgers are really good and filling. Now that I think about it, I haven't gone there for months :/

Chick-Fil-A.

Back when I was in college, I'd go 2/3 times a week since it was right on campus lol.

Pretty much every fast food place that has been around for longer than 20 years has had some type of drop in quality, but Chick hasn't (yet). I'm expecting it to come though since their founder passed away not too long ago.

What fast food place you go to most often (Chipotle, McDonald's, Qdoba, Wendy's, etc.)

How often you go on average

What about it makes you go there most frequently
(close to work, cheap, super tasty, good breakfast, Fries, the ladies, etc.)
  1. I guess Raising Canes.
  2. Once a week, two if I have the time &/or money on-hand.
  3. Their chicken & fries always manage to bring me back.

It's probably between Popeye's, Nando's, and Fuddruckers.

I try not to do fast food too often in general, but I probably hit each one up every couple months.

I go to Popeye's and Fuddruckers because of regular cravings for fried chicken and burgers, respectively. I go to Nando's because it's damn good quality food (and Sangria) for a good price, or if I'm craving chicken livers (one of the few restaurants around me to serve them).

A burrito place called Tolteca, it's essentially the Irish version of Chipotle. I go maybe once per fortnight.

It's 2 mins from my house and sometimes I'm just not bothered cooking.

Maybe go to tacobell twice a week for 3 tacos, since I usually don't care too much about what I eat during work as long as it's cheap and isn't too heavy.

For the weekends, I'll probably go to in-n-out two to three times a month. Chipotle maybe twice a month. Everything else that I eat is something I prepared myself or some random spur of the moment thing.
