Your most hated season

I really didn't like Season 2 of Friday Night Lights.

And since I see similar jokes have been made already, I am going to stay late-February to March when you just want Winter to be done with and late-July or any point during the summer with sustained high humidity, bugs/mosquitoes, and heat.

Being in central Canada, winter is my least favorite. I love snow, but it gets as low as -40c without the windchill at least once a year, with it normally ranging between -20 and -30 most days.

I love autumn the most because it's not too chilly and there's some lovely scenery. Summer is next because it's a warm 20 to 30c here, and spring is a solid third, although most of the time it's still a little cold from the left over winter (for around a month or so).

Winter is easily the worst. There are things I love about all of the other three seasons (Fall is my favorite).

With Winter, it might as well not exist outside of the holidays. Once New Year's is over, it's just three more months of shit. Nothing to look forward to except for Spring.

Fuck Winter.

Probably Season 5 How I Met Your Mother

In order of preference:

1. Fall- #1 by a mile. reasonable temps, fall colors, great time for sports, Halloween and Thanksgiving.
2. Spring- Winter is finally over, green grass and new flowers
3. Summer- The only reason I prefer it over winter is that it is typically easier to get around
4. Winter- not so bad when its a reasonable temp, sub zero temps, ice and snow make it the worst.
Seriously this. Only the many holidays save winter for me.

Fall - it's rainy, windy and cold.
When the snow falls you don't have to deal with getting wet and everything is more peaceful.

I dislike early spring and late fall because thats when you get those cold rainy days that are the most miserable thing ever. (I work outdoors). Give me snow anyday over cold rain.

The fuck is going on in this thread? Summer as the worst season? Do you guys not have fucking autumn with 24/7 rains and wind that makes having an umbrella out totally useless?
I take 30 degrees and humid, I'll take minus 10 and stone cold with snow, any second, over fucking autumn.

Winter. I don't hate it, but the days getting shorter gets super depressing. I really don't like when its dark out at like 4:30 pm.

Yep, this. It's dark where I live by 3.30pm in the winter. I don't mind the cold or snow though, just the shorter days.

Fuck Winter.

Yeah, January and February are super fucking boring.

Summer is easily the worst. At least I winter you can cozy up in bed with blankets and feel good. But when it's hot, you can only take off so much clothes.

Living in MD, hard to decide between summer and winter. The former is often really humid and shitty. The latter does not produce snow reliably, as the most cold times are often dry.

Winter in New England is terrible. I need to move.

I don't get the summer comments, unless you live somewhere that's nice during winter, because while summer can be a nightmare, there's also a ton of shit you can actually be doing outside with your free time, heat be damned.

Winter has always sucked. There is nothing good about going outside to play when it's so cold and you have to bundle up in several coats and jackets. Thank goodness I moved to a better state where snow it but a myth.

Most of the US gets unbearably hot in the summer so that's driving that sentiment.

Think weeks on end of 35-38 degrees.

Autumn is mostly really nice and brisk in much of the US...outside the southwest and south anyway.

Easily Winter.

1.Snow is fun to have in December, but quickly outstays its welcome afterwards when shoveling becomes a pain and bad streets are a mess to navigate.
2.The days are extremely short so that by the time I come home from work it is already dark out.
3.Its way too cold to go outside and do anything most of the time, leaving you cooped up in the house or office all day.

Now that I'm older, it has to be winter.

Winter when you're a kid is so cool... but then you grow up and become responsible for heating bills, snow shovelling, commuting to work in the dark freezing morning. It sucks...

I'm from Buffalo and Summer's the worst. The humidity is always at least 80%. I can deal with snow and cold. You can always wear more layers. In the summer you have no choice but to deal with the gross humid and sticky feeling if you leave the house.

Honestly? Probably Summer. It's great when you are a kid due to no school(and I spent my summers by a pool as a child) but it's just a gross hassle as an adult.

Summer pros:
-Nice nights
-Rainstorms are great

Summer cons:
-Grossly hot days
-Bugs errywhere
-AC is expensive to have running all the time
-Too many people out pretending to enjoy the heat

I live right in the middle of a summer tourist town so I can't look out my window without seeing like a hundred annoying people walking around sweating.
Winter can be nasty but I actually love snow(even shoveling it), and it's nice to not have so many people outside.

Absolute best is autumn. There's something magic about it. I feel most alive in the fall.

Summer for me, just because absolute heat is worst to me than cold. I can bundle up, light fires, and warm up a lot easier than I can shed my skin because it's so damn hot and/or humid.

I'm a spring fan, but that's probably because I don't have allergies so I can properly enjoy it.

Southern California residents really have nothing to complain about during fall, winter, or spring (aside from the lack of rain). Summer can fuck right off though. Especially now that I'm an adult so there's literally no upside to it anymore.

If it was 80-85 every day in summer, I would love it. However, there are way too many days of scorching hot 90 degree days for my taste. I hate heat.

Summer is awful.

Winter.

- Clothes take days to dry
- Humidity requires to keep a dehumidifier on all the time
- I tolerate the cold badly
- My electricity bill skyrockets just trying to heat one room.
- Fucking condensation on windows
- It's dark all the time and gets pitch black before 18:00

To make thinks worse, Winter here is anything but those snowy postcards. It's just cold and non stop rain during nearly the whole season. It also seems like I must have seasonal affective disorder because damnit if my depression doesn't get worse. It's the only season I get drunk. This time I'm spending almost a whole month in Bangkok 15/12 - 08/01, so one less month of not enduring cold.

Apart from that, the rest of the year has mild temperatures even in summer, just that everything is also rainy except for the summer (which gets rainy with a vengeance when it does rain)

Spring, because that's when the allergies really start to ramp up. I wouldn't really say I hate it though. It's probably my most uncomfortable season.
