Better than CVX's collection?

Probably not:

Biohazard Collectors box
all NTSC US GAMECUBE REs plus guides, variants
7 RE4 demos
RE1-3, plus DC on PS1
RE2-3, CV on DC
RE4 Standee, full size
Ada Wong Figure preorder bonus
five Leon Art Cells from RE4
Chainsaw controller unopened
Resident Archives book or whatever just came out, can't remember the name but its a fucking AWESOME fanservice
Outbreak Preorder bonus survival guide
Resident Evil Gaiden!!!!!

People keep games sealed to "profit". The only reasonable way to profit is to utilize CAG, get lucky, and exploit EBAY. Or hit pawn shops.

That said, Electroplankton (which I just got today and I <3 it) is probably one to keep sealed if you're looking @ $$$$$ game down the road

Probably my original Guncon. It is the definition of how a lightgun should look - like an actual gun, bordeline Desert Eagle size. I actually added lead weights to the inside of mine to give it a slightly more authentic feel. Too bad it didn't rumble like the arcade one. The pussified pink Guncon 2 makes me cry.

Sealed. It really sucks that I can't play it, but opening it would be like throwing away at least $150.

I also have a ton of other rare stuff, such as my Famitsu limited edition orange version of the "What's Shenmue?" demo (sealed, of course.)

No, they keep them because collectors like owning rare stuff that other people don't have.

Sealed is only $150? Have prices gone down?? I recall seeing sealed copies get $300 easy....

If you were paying attention, you'd notice that I said if I OPENED it I would be throwing away $150. That's the DIFFERENCE between a sealed copy and a perfect unsealed one.

Although it is true that the game has gone down somewhat in recent years, though. At the same time, Suikoden 2 and Valkyrie Profile (both of which I own, mint) have gone through the roof:

That's pretty good. Where did you find the archives book? Haven't seen it anywhere.
By the way I got the PAL RE4 promotional poster in the mail today. It kicks ass.
(and CVX should post a pic of his collection).

It feels strange to say it, but I don't really prize anything rare. The most valuable game I have is Suikoden II, but I paid an Ebay price for it very recently - I don't have the memories from when it came out. Even the sealed Growlanser Generations I have feels like just another game, especially since it was given to me as a gift.

I do prize the really excellent games I have owned since they were on the shelves at Toys 'R' Us and well before they achieved cult status, like Rocket Knight Adventures, Toejam & Earl, Final Fantasy VII, Einhander, Skies of Arcadia, and Grandia II.

Hahaha... the Atari Holy Grail itself. How did you get it?

World of WarCraft Collectors Edition(unused).
Would be a damn shame to see my PSOne collection get burned though. :(

PS! Bataman, that's awesome.

Hm... maybe my boxed copy of C64 Pirates! that has the box which looks like a book... so many different boxes out there, but that one is the best :)

Sealed FF Tactics and Zelda Collectors Disc. :D

I find it funny that those who pre-ordered the game got a pre-order bonus that is worth 5x as much as the actual game is now. Heck, I could go to a Gamecrazy and get a brand-new black-label Zelda TWW for $20 tomorrow if I wanted.

My goldeneye cart with all slots 100%. I earned that retched facility cheat!!!!!!

My earthbound snes cart and players guide.... scratch and sniff FTW

My autographed copy of Final Fantasy tactics, signed by Wierd Al Yankovic: I had my case for 'bad hair day' but i forgot FFT was in it, so i asked him to sign it anyway. :D

my sega astro city cab and/or ketsui. getting another astro for around the same price i originally got it for probably isnt that hard, but it has sentimental value. the whole first cab thing, although more so cause i put a decent amount of work into cleaning it up.

ketsui on the other hand has more or less doubled in price since i got it, and is slightly harder to find. and unlike paranoid people with shrinkwrapped games, i can actually enjoy mine.

Sealed. It really sucks that I can't play it, but opening it would be like throwing away at least $150.
got cdr copies to play at least? and do you ever plan on selling it anyways? i understand keeping things pristine as a collector practice, but not for the purpose of value if youre never going to take advantage of it. basically, why care about the financial aspect if itll never affect you?

We got four copies of it at the Game Crazy I work at. Seriously. A RE fans dream. SO SO SO MUCH info.

I have a few signed games, but this one is definitely tops:

And though I would let it burn, I finally tracked down a Rez Limited Pieces box (1 of 500). Finding that took me like FOUR YEARS.

Is that Amano's autograph? Hard to tell. I wouldn't mind Sakaguchi or Nasir Gebelli's autograph on my (I think) complete Famicom FF1.
