Your villain choices for the Spider-man sequels?

J. Jonah Jameson. Basically, I want Spider-Man to have to reclaim his good name and prove why he matters to NYC after being labelled a menace by Jameson and The Daily Bugle.

No supervillains. Just Peter fucking up. Spidey cleaning up. Jameson's blood pressure going up.

I keep seeing Mysterio mentioned but I remember groaning whenever an episode of the 90s cartoon featured him, with the exception of his last appearance.

Give me Kraven hunting a Peter-friend-turned-monster, Lizard or Morbius.

They definitely need him back for all the potential "fake news" jokes.

Don't care, but we need Exterminator in 6.

Not a lot of love for hobgoblin. I'd love to see hobby more than green gob. If they could somehow make it work to have mark hamill do the voice for hobgoblin when he's suited up, that would be greatness.

Some of these villains are going to be put aside for if the Miles animated movies become successful, whilst it's a pure Sony production, Feige and co. have plans for the character and because it's not competition in the way the Venom movie is, I can't imagine him ending up with second hand MCU villains.

I like your choices for the first two sequels, but no black suit, Venom, or Carnage in any of the films connected to MCU, please. Leave that stuff for the Sony Marvel Universe if they want to go 90s edge.

I think it's a good idea to have the Osborns, Dr. Connors, and Octavius around as characters in the world, but not as the main villains for a while to give some distance with the previous movies. Kingpin should also be used if he can be borrowed from the Netflix series. If not, the version of Tombstone that they did in Spectacular is a fine substitute. Mob elements in Spidey anyway, that's important.

So:

Homecoming: Vulture, Shocker, Tinkerer

SM2: Scorpion and Rhino, then Kraven for the 3rd act.

SM3: Mysterio, Black Cat, with Black Cat becoming a sometimes villain and sometimes ally in future movies.

SM4: Green Goblin and the mob.

SM5: Lizard as a sympathetic villain that Peter tries to save and Dr. Octopus as a remorseless killer that Peter has to stop.

SM6: Sinister Six with Vulture, Shocker Scorpion, Rhino, Mysterio, and Doc Ock. Needs to be villains he's already encountered.

Woke Hipster MJ protesting outside a version of the Daily Bugle reimagined as a Fox News-esque conservative rag is something I need now.

For the sequel, gimme Mysterio (played by Bruce Campbell) as some minor threat that gets taken out in one punch then move onto the main antagonist, who can be... Kraven, maybe.

Mysterio + Alistair Smythe for the sequel, please. I just want to see Mysterio and the Spider Slayers on the big screen.

Also Mysterio and the Spider Slayers would be a great band name.

What you want is a court movie.

There's probably only going to be 3 spiderman films right?

Ideally, there'd be at least four so you could have a Mysterio movie and a Kraven movie before the Sinister Six thing happens.

We've had six Spider-Man movies now.

Three separate Spider-Man film franchises. Six separate Spider-Man movies.

And Mysterio hasn't appeared in a single one of them.

It's time. And god help Marvel Studios if they don't realize it.

The audacity of calling yourselves Spider-man fans and not wanting to see Venom interact with Spidey on film, done right this time.

Venom is for hipster comic book villains.

Mysterio is the villain nobody realized they wanted till he reveals himself and his plan he was leading you with all along. For anyone that doubts Mysterio read Daredevil Guardian Devil and Old Man Logan.

Because they already did Venom and said all there is to justify a movie for. "But this time, he's way more buff" isn't enough. A significant chunk of Spider-Man 3 is already dedicated to Peter being in the black suit, so we would have to do that whole thing again.

Homecoming 2 - Mysterio (Bob Odenkirk) Dr Strange guests.
Homecoming 3 - Sin Eater (Cerebral murder plot with minimal punch not happening)
Homecoming 4 - Kraven (Cardiac as a joke punching bag baddie)

Hard to say, there are so many good villains to pull from and seeing how they handled Vulture they could pretty much do anyone.

The Green Goblin is too important to not show up for 6 movies.

Problem is that we had the Goblin twice, with his second appearance being straight up ham-fisted and wasted.

The CEO of SONY Pictures

Ha ha, it's funny because it's kinda true. *sigh* I wish that Marvel had opted to take the license off their hand rather than work with them.

Yeah I was just about to come in and say this. Some of the best parts of Homecoming was seeing this young Peter totally out of his depth and having to rise above adversity in the form of a way more experienced baddie in the Vulture.

Bringing in an unstoppable force like Morlun that kicks his ass two ways from Sunday would be a great foil, just needs a bit more personality to him.

Plus we can bring in Ezekiel or Doctor Strange and dive deeper into the origin behind Peter's power and why the Spider chose him.

Plus in the comic was fully established and it took all his strength to "defeat" Morlun

I wouldn't mind seeing Venom but the problem it's a two movie deal as we need one movie with Peter with the symbiote and his behaviour changing, plus we would need to see Eddie Brock without the suit so we can see how Spider-Man "ruined" his life. Then bring Venom in the next movie as the villain.

The other problem is that in Homecoming we still aren't sure of the full detail of Peter's Spider Sense as that is one of the thing that makes Venom so threatening as he doesn't trigger it and can be anywhere.
