YouTube Gaming Channel Recommendations

I'm quite sure there's quite a few of you who, like myself, watch many gaming videos on youtube and got your fare share of channels that you frequently visit.

Probably like a big lot of you, I'm also looking for more gaming channels to watch and what better way than to ask the biggest gaming community on the net???

I personally like the gaming channels where I can stay up to date about what's going on in the gaming industry, channels that cover not only the big news, but also some of the smaller stuff that main stream blogs and gaming channels don't or won't cover like ZOOMIN TV GAMES or FORCE STRATEGY GAMING.

I also like channels where personal opinions are discussed about various events happening in gaming like REVIEWTECHUSA or PBS GAMESHOW, and not a big fan of the quick news flashes that just state facts and keep moving on to the next topic like IGN'S DAILY FIX or GAMESPOT'S DAILY NEWS.

Then I also like the unique gaming channels like MMOxREVIEW that covers the trending Skyrim mods every week for three years straight and still going and also SHODDYCAST that makes the best, most professional gaming lore videos I've ever seen.

I know there's probably a lot of awesome gaming channels I've never heard of that has some awesome content.

Why don't you share some of your favorite gaming channels and tell us a bit about the channels content and what makes you watch their content.

Errant Signal
Super Bunnyhop
and
Matthematosis
are all channels that have fantastic in-depth video essays about games and game topics. They all have their own style so check them out and see which one you enjoy the most. Matthewmatosis has lower production values than the other two but I find his critiques to usually be spot-on and very well reasoned so I enjoy his videos just as much.

For more general or time-killing gaming videos, try:
DidYouKnowGaming?
and
Game Sack

boogie2988 for gaming industry stuff. I like saigancat's videos, he does a lot of jrpg's and stuff if your into that.

Edit: Everyone go check out thelastgamertube, trust me it's awesome.

If you're a PC Gamer "Totalbiscuit" is totally worth subbing to. Great quick looks and reports on PC ports that are honest and brutal.

https://www.youtube.com/user/TheRealGiantBomb

Giantbomb upload all of their streams, quick looks and best moments on youtube as well. A gold mine of laughs to be had there.

LazyGameReviews is a favourite of mine for old school PC game retrsopectives. Nice short reviews.

https://www.youtube.com/user/Matthewmatosis

Incredibely in-depth reviews of modern and past generation games. His dark souls 2 review in particular is outstanding.

Razorfist is mainly a gaming rant channel, but I love his stuff. He also does pretty great film and music retrospectives too.

Game Sack - For run downs of retro systems and their best games, presented by a pair of likeable guys.

Lazy Game Reviews - Mostly a PC based channel, does mainly reviews of classic PC games but tends to throw in some more modern stuff once in a while. Very smart guy wiho puts some wit into his videos.

Lukemorse1 - Generally retro repairs and videos on retro games, sometimes obscure Japanese stuff.

Matthew Matosis - In depth game analysis, good stuff and can be thought provoking.

MrBtongue - This guy does stuff similar to the above but is also very entertaining. Tends to be slow to put out content but when he does it's usually all gold.

Northernlion and Bisnap for Binding of Isaac videos.
SilentWeaponsIII and SupraDarky for video game songs.
EpicNameBro for, well, initally Souls info, but now I pretty much watch whatever he puts out.
Jim Sterling and TotalBiscuit for gaming news and comment.
Kikoskia for olden games.
AVGN for AVGN.

And

Cubex55 aka World of longplays for longplays.

Off the top of my head.

CosmoSpeedruns is great if you like speedruns (Zeldas, symphony of the night). His build up to the record ocarina of time run was enjoyable

MrBtounge is great but not entirely gaming dedicated (movie stuff). Love Errant Signal and Super Bonny Hop too. More of the "critical" stuff rather than let's plays and whatnot.

Didyouknowgaming can be a fun time waster but as the popularity as grown they've seemed to have stretched to include some pretty bland or basic trivia and treat it as cool.

Matt Chat is excellent if you're into old-school PC games, RPGs in particular. Lots of great interviews.

Scott Manley - If you're interested in Kerbal Space Program, space sims like Elite Dangerous or simmy games in general, you should be watching this channel.

Chrontendo is a little dry but I can't help but love a guy that wants to document every single NES game ever released, in the order of release.

And Jim Fucking Sterling, Son. Obviously.

Pewdiepie

guoze.gif

Team Double Dragon (I'm a big fan of sips)

I don't really have any I watch that are secret, ENB, vatti, the normal stuff.

ChristopherOdd

Down to earth, funny, and screws up a bunch doing blind let's plays. More entertaining for me rather than watching a person play a game for the 10th time and knowing where everything is and what to do. Just need to ignore the comments like all of YouTube.

ClassicGameRoom for sure. Dude is so funny and just loves games.

Came to post game sack, seen it's already mentioned several times, leaving happy.

Seriously though, Game Sack.

Two Best Friends Play
Game Grumps
Super Bunny Hop
Matthewmatosis
Errant Signal
HyperBitHero
AestheticGamer
Jim Sterling
JonTron
MikeKob

Game Theorists, PBS Game Show, there's another one I'm thinking of, but I can't think of the name of it. The channel was pretty old and it basically talked about the history of video games. Someone help me out here.

Two Best Friends Play (sw1tcher) - The hypest Zaibatsu around
Allshamnowow - Hilarious Youtuber. Aside from some funny LPs, spotlights some terrible/great Indie games.
Inside Gaming - Steam Roulette and some of their other series are hilarious
Aplfisher- Hilarious Counter-strike clips. Also does some BASED DJing and the Youtube Game on the side.
Seananners- People might know him from pushing Minecraft in its early beta...
StroodleNoodle- Gaming montage parodies. Top kek.
MaximillianDood - Pretty good fighting game breakdowns.
Cinemassacre - AVGN
... + Mike I guess
JonTronShow - One of the only people on par with AVGN. Absolutely hilarious.
DidYouKnowGaming- Gaming trivia
YuriofWind- Does videos on Obscure Games/Betas of Games/Bullshit Creepypasta about games.
Continue?-Weekly show where Nick,Paul, and Josh play a game for a certain amount of time. Do a couple of specials that are neat.
penguinz0- Hilarious.

The now dead Machinima Respawn/ Machinima Team Respawn was the origin of Youtube video game channels. While, Machinima Respawn is now filled with horrible filler, and Team Respawn in now dead, there isn't anything current. But sifting through, there are some true gems.

Part of me wants to recommend my own stuff but I can not do such a thing.

The other part of me just watches trailers for games on YouTube from Nintendo's own channel.

I do a lot of videos where I play video games.. I don't spend a lot of time watching other people play them.. you could say that I'm not the kind with any sort of "Gaming" paraphilia.. I prefer to play games, not watch them.

For the people recommending PewDiePie.. I actually suggest his off gaming stuff and his podcast with CinammonToastKen. I like that one.

Ocassionally, I watch Jim Sterling, Total Biscuit, and Zero Punctuation. For a long time.. I was watching Fish play Street Fighter 2 and it was great.

Two Best Friends Play (aka Super Best Friends Zaibatsu)
Robbaz
cr1tikal
Totalbiscuit

That's all I need. The Best Friends already give me more content than I can keep up on.
