Alot of those "rescue" videos have also turned out to be fakes, the youtuber was the one that put the animal in the situation to begin with. A well known one was a python all curled around a dog that got saved, yeah, the person had held the dog for the snake to then "rescue" it. :\

Makes me wonder just how much of it is faked, and in reality, cruelty to animals.

Same here. I originally come from a developing country myself; the weird obsession/ adoraiton westerners have for dogs/cats in particular troubles me.

In my country, dogs are much more independent and left to strive for thesmelves; we can practically feed them with anything, usually sleep outside and are used often for specific purposes, often guarding and keeping the house from intruders.
Here, I feel like dogs and cats are seen and used more as living room accesories poeple use to fill their need of ''unconditional'' love.

Also, dog ''abuse'' is a bit strong. She definitely mistreated the animal a bit but its a doberman, they usually know rough and play rough.

She still has strong piece of shit vibe though.

Letting nature have her way is a solution too, having animals feed off trash, be filled with lice and ticks and diseases, run over by cars, abused, get exposed to heat and cold, their carcasses in public places for everyone to smell etc. Serious health hazard for all. Also many owners abandon their pets or even their offspring, leaving them to die.. Strays form packs and can attack and bite anyone. Irresponsible owners even take the collar off their dogs and let them roam free, thus not claiming responsibility.

every city council should take measures to have stray dogs and cats sterilised.

Watch again, she doesn't know first thing about handling a dog and seems to completely lose control of herself the moment something doesn't go according to script. Signalling the dog to sit down after it tries to jump on you is fine, spitting on it after it has already retreated or giving it a full body shove however is not.

Also, anyone who flips their shit over such minor things should have some sense beat into them. It is extremely unbecoming.
