I don't think he'll do that. He's already been talking to Nintendo World Store employees and they know his agenda. He doesn't really need to make 10-15 minute videos every day. Just a few minutes will keep the traction. He's already had several outlets make articles about him and he said he's been recognized already on the streets. He'll be first in line.

He apparently stays out there for 12 hours a day and then heads indoors to sleep. I suspect he goes to the bathroom and gets food when him and Triforce alternate. It's been mentioned already but I would like to echo it: he definitely has this all planned out. No way did he not consider sleeping and eating. He's selling this 'adventure' and he's going to get a lot more subscribers from this and ultimately money.
Also, I don't think he paid an entire dime for this trip. He had a stream a few weeks back and he was raising money to go to NY and I think donations exceeded his expectations so I bet this is how he decided to spend the extra cash: by staying longer and creating a headline for himself.
Wow, thinking about it, whether intentional or not, this kid might make out like a bandit with this.

Yep. I will be picking my Switch up at 9am March 3rd NZ time, which is about 3pm March 2nd in New York time.
Unless we end up getting a midnight launch and then it will be 9 hours before that
I'm in New Zealand which I think is 15 hours ahead of New York, so I don't even have to go to a midnight launch, I can just go in the following morning to pick it up and I'll still get it before he does. He should come down here, it's summer time and pretty much nobody gives a shit about Nintendo in NZ, so there's plenty to go around.

Alot of people in this thread dont understand why he is doing this but then again alot of Gaf is a much older crowd. As someone that only camped 26hrs for a wii i got a little respect for the guy.

I've been living in an Airbnb for a year.
Is Nintendo recognizing his place in line? What stops someone coming in a couple of days before and takes his spot while he is sleeping?
At Rockefeller Center? Come on Son. There are going to be like 80 cops there all night. Also, they are protecting Melania and Barron like 5 blocks away. I think he'll make it.

Yeah no. Last time I checked Australia, Japan and Europe all arrive to the 3rd before america. And not only that but im 100% sure some european small store is going to brake the street date and people there are going to get the console some days before that.
I remember being one of the first to get a wii in europe because an opencor broke the street date a week before official release. And I didnt need to do any lines lol
The guy isnt an idot of course, he is going to get a big amount of views on his channel and that means good money.
Other than that, I met Triforce when i went on a trip to New York and visited the Nintendo store. He seems to be there 24/7 lol Took some photos with him, great chap.

triforce created laws of cueing before the line which entails being somewhere around the entrance, or inside, or across the street or whatever he feels like, between the hours of open to close of the store, where they will not be loitering but will be creating entertaining content such as interviewing random people on the street about what they are waiting for and telling fans how crazy an experience it is being in new york and making 5 minute clips once a day to prove they are not loitering.

114k views on that video is how he is doing it. These guys make more money per month than minimum wage earners. I read this article too a while back how many kids these days wrote that they wanted to be streamers and vloggers and instagram models instead of actors and astronauts etc.
It is crazy to us but if this guy is first to get Switch, he will vlog the hell out of it and get tons of views and ad revenues and whatnot.
The thing about first to get it probably means the first in north america. Nintendo store in new york is their main store and it will be publicize, it is not really about getting it first but being the first one their where his picture will be shown on most game website. That is a good publicity stunt for his channel and with his daily blog it will get a lot of hits, more so than his regular videos. Besides it's not like he's sleeping on the street. Apparently you can't line up unless nintendo makes an official line according to one of their videos. He goes to some airbnb rented place when the store closes and comes back when the store opens.
