I would add Metal Gear Solid HD Collection to backward compatibility, and then take a long, expensive vacation
I thought it was a pretty obvious hyperbolic joke answer, but apparently I was too subtle with my request for 12 more seasons of KI.
Seriously though, we're coming up on 4 years of Xbone and all we have from Rare's stable is Killer Instinct, a compilation, and (eventually) Sea of Thieves. Where is Banjo? Conker? Viva Pinata? JFG? Perfect Dark? Battletoads? MR. PANTS!? That'd be my first priority, bring back this eclectic bunch of IP that would make for a vastly more appealing lineup of exclusives than whatever the fuck they're doing now.

- Sell a cheap system mic for current owners without a Kinect
- Put a mic in the Scorpio just like the One S has a built in IR. If MS is pushing Cortana, why are they making using it so cumbersome?
- HDMI-CEC for changing input to the Xbox and turning the TV on/off without blasting IR when possible
- Something with Mistwalker
- Let Rare spread their wings a little... after Conker

I really want that Cortana solution you mentioned. I enjoyed using her when I had Kinect, but now I don't have one and I don't really use a headset either. It also amazes me that Kinect seems to be the only option for Skype video calls on Xbox...

It would be easy to say 'un-cancel Scalebound', the game looked poor on the gameplay videos I saw and dont think it would have lived up to the expectations I had.
Personally, I'd put all my efforts into making gamepass work. Possibly make a big minecraft add-on or minecraft 2 a timed exclusive on the service for a few months to tempt people in.
I'd also focus heavily on making the image of xbox not just US centric. Things like announcing custom joy pads for US only does nothing but solidify people perceptions that they don't give a damn about anyone outside of their bubble.

But the question is not "How would you fix it?", the question is "how would you CHANGE it". So stuff like wanting them to stop working on stuff you don't care about in order to work on stuff you do is perfectly valid as an answer.

Honestly I doubt Xbox's shortcomings are that man's fault, sure things like Scalebound being canceled are suspect but this is definitely out of character with the guy that basically fixed the Xbox One's terrible reputation. I'd say it's a bigger problem, like he's the equivalent of Obama being the president of the USA but the stupid congress keeps blocking him
Thats a one way ticket to huge revenue and gross margin loss with some studio closures splashed on top.

Just to steer things away from the realm of politics and criticism, what would you do? Keep in mind, the question isn't how you would "improve" Xbox, just how you would change it.
I'm ok with this as long as it's a Banjo/Battletoads tattoo. Replace the troll shirts with troll tattoos.
